not a fan of iso-anything i smoke or eat.
bubble hash or rosin are 2 easy ideas. pressing rosin is a bit more expensive to start, but can be quite a bit less time involved. Portable washing 'machines' take the labor out of bubble hash, but still takes hours to get a 20% yield.
bubble hash is easier to work with. I think bubble has a more of a complete taste, but rosin taste great too. With both, cold temps can help greatly, more so with rosin. A glass cutting board you can freeze works well under some parchment.. also freeze the rosin, lol.
Another method of bubble hash i liked but haven't done is the dry ice method. cost of dry ice is about the same for amount of ice needed and it is a heck of a lot less work then spinning frigid cold water.
bubble hash -- watch French Canoli (spelling) vids on youtube.
dry-ice -- lots of vids on it.. need a big base to shake over for larger amounts.
rosin press -- lots of great vids. diy on green gene's channel is good info on making one. without drill press, there's lots of kits out there now too. Just an H-press and a platens kit -- build it in 20-30minutes or less if you are skilled with that stuff unlike me. no videos needed for that. if in america, a store called harb freight has 12t h-press for ~$140. Sometimes the 20T is on sale for 150-170. these are good for 3x5 and 4x7 platen kits, respectively.
