Personally, I would follow the EC reading... if you have a simple ppm meter, you can double check the EC reading by doing your own calculation which is simple: (ppm*1000)/2 Good luck!

I have an EC meter, but I never use it, for the reason that it can be unreliable until the plant grows roots over the entire pot, and that's when it starts to stretch and bloom. The best indicator is the tips of the leaves, when they are slightly burnt, it means that the soil is saturated nutrients, if the new leaves that grow have burnt tips, then you do not need to fertilize the soil and it is enough to feed it again in a week, if the tips are not burnt, add a little bit of fertilizer with each watering until you notice that within two days after watering, a change on the tips of the leaves, that way the roots will always have food available, but you have to be careful and with all the watering you have to pass 20% of the run-off water through the pot.

yeah, EC is a good metric but not perfect. a lot of what is contributing to the resulting EC may not be plant available.. so when molecules diffuse accross semi-permeable membrane of roots, the concentration will be reduced as some of those molecules that caused a higher EC are not getting in. just thinking further.. could impede diffusion at some point as concentration gradients impact the flow of water.. but that sort of nuanced detail requires more knowledge or experience ethan i have, but i am confident that knowledge exists already too.

That’s the problem with those weird ass organic liquid nutes.. you gotta make that call yourself and adjust if needed. Look it up online maybe. I’ve seen them advertised all over IG. Their NPK ratios are pretty low tho I wonder if it’s other things contributing to the EC
