Substitute for liquid hydroponic nutrient solutions

Those solutions (like Hesi Hydro Growth) seem to be ridiculously overpriced, like 10€ for 1 liter fertilizer solution which consists of mostly water itself is a total ripoff in my understanding. Is there a substitute for those heavily overpriced nutrient solutions?

Sure, I am growing them myself to have a cheap and reliable source of clean herbs, besides proofing that I am able to. So being able to produce as cheap as possible is just another proof of proficiency. I have checked the bottle label, it says 2.6% N, 1.9% P and 3.6% K plus some further elements. It surely is quality fertilizer but yet again massively overpriced, the same goes to other brands too. We are talking like 10 cents worth of base materials per liter or so and it's far away from the complexity of a car, just have a look at the number of people of Hesi, it's extended family lol. So, did anyone mix it themselves or at least found a much cheaper solution than buying those pseudo cannabis mixes? PS: You can grow plants in aquaponics with more or less fish poo, no need for getting a degree in something

I like blue plant elite set. Has been working well and goes a long ways.

Both Bio Vega and Bio Flores by Bio Canna and Flora Nova Grow one part and Flora Nova Bloom one part by GHE are all highly concentrated, needing very little actual solution to be used and one bottle of any of these will be enough for many, many plants or multiple grows. All are highly recommendable. Another to consider is Organic Grow and Organic Bloom by BAC, again very concentrated and lasting for multiple plants/crops. Another good thing about these products are that they are all "one bottle wonders" meaning there is no need to buy anything extra or mix bottle A with bottle B or bottle B and C, making their use super simple, a handy thing for new growers. They all work superbly well and are all super healthy, with no chemical residues or other unfriendly substances. Otherwise you could buy raw chemicals to make your own mixes and with a degree in chemistry and a lot of experimentation, you might find something that works just as well as the store bought products. This is where the costs come in - research and development. A bit like cars/automobiles, there may only be 10,000 dollars of raw products in a car, but the car costs you 75,000 dollars because the real cost is not in making the car, it is in all the development, prototypes, crash testing etc that eats up all the money. And lets face it, you don't really grow cannabis to save money, although this can occur, to me it is all about total quality control and saying "I made that with my own hands!" Hope this helps, Organoman.

Let assume 10 or 20% of one liter Hesi Hydro Growth are actually nutrients, that you mean we pay 10€ for only 100 to 200g pure nutrients. 100€ per kg of a basis compound seems to be very good business for the producers so to say. If that would be a realistic price for fertilizer, food prices would surely be multiple times higher as much of our food is grown in hydroponics 😒 So, how to cut costs and actually have more control about the amount of nutrients added? Any good alternative sources like as a powder or such out there?
