100 x 100 = 1m^2. 300 * 2.8 = 840 umol/s in 1m^2 is 840 PPFD -- this will be good even for growing photoperiods on a 12/12 bloom schedule. You are good to go. You'll need proportionally less light for autoflowers / vegetative phase 18/6 cycle -- or use fewer hours, more height... 3 ways to skin that cat. That'll be a perfectly sized light for a 100x 100 tent. high efficacy, great price, great build quality... i don't say that about all mars lights. i am not a fan-boy. They built it right. from diode count to heatsink.

I haven't had them for long, so I don't know exactly how long they'll last. On the site, they say this.. Lifetime 50,000 hours (8.5 years @ 16hour/day)

that lamp will last longer tan most.. the diode count assures you of that... they power them at the same watts as teh samsung.com spec sheet testing paramaters. put a little breeze on them to ensure longevity, but even without should be 7 years or more depending on yearly use.. .50,000 hours for an FC model isn't outlandish. The lights that run hotter with same diodes might reach 25-30k before tehy dim to 90%. (longevity curve on samsung.com spec sheet for lm301b / h will verify what i say) The only reason you'd need more is if you tightly control environment and boost co2 to 1200-1300ppm ... then, you could probably use 20-25% more.

if the mars covers that type of box well, it should be valid.. I personally find myself very well with Migro, it has a few watts less but it's great at least for me I use it in a slightly smaller box but it covers 100x100 without problems
