I have grow space 48 x 24 x 60, I have an LED 2400 W, AC infinity 4 inch in-line fan, temperature is creeping up to around 86°, vents open at bottom of 10 should I use a humidifier to lower temperature? Add a fan?

The thing is changing out the air is the best way to combat the heat if your light is sized right. Humidifiers may secondarily lower air temp but not much. How much true wattage does that LED draw from the wall current? The need for negative air pressure is lessened by forced air, and that may be just a Walmart high output fan blowing into a intake port. All you do by sucking in the sides of your tent more than just a tad is make the tent smaller and overwork your extractor fan. You will still have a negative tent just not as much so nor is it needed.

You could add a DIY C02 setup. Plants will be happier, heat-wise.

@rhodes68 I am unsure of the true wattage, I bought the tent and light and exhaust fans second hand for a decent price. I am almost worried that the light would be too big for this gross space, but as long as I can get the temperature under control the factor of the light should not be too much for the plants as long as I keep adequate nutrients and water correct? so it would be worth a try adding a forced air from the outside of the tent? I have an AC infinity 206 CFM fan working inside with the filter, I also have a German made 100 CFM fan that I CAN use for the air force going in, (currently there is no forced air going in ) I am just going off of the lights being on, and my exhaust fan working. again I don’t have my plants growing yet so everything here gets to be trial and error, I guess everything is trial and error when growing. Thank you very much for the response

Thank you for the below answers, I have not received the seeds yet, on the way from seedsman. Currently I only have the light and the exhaust fan running with the lower flaps off of the tent, I have not added a small clip on fan inside of there yet and I’m thinking about adding forced air into the tent although this would take away from the negative air pressure, my question is does anybody have experience in growing an 86°?

That's a lot of light in a small space. I'd suggest turning your light down, if possible. That will make the biggest difference in lowering temps. Are you doing your light cycle during daylight hours? If you can shift over to a night time light schedule, that will help too. I also leave the bottom of my main flap unzipped (but it's still a tight small slit, don't go 'round the corner) for more air flow. My tent is in a dimly lit room, which makes the light leak negligible. I got in there to see during lights out (daytime), and the place is still pitch black. Gotta remember that the moon exists, in nature these plants get a little light at night.

Add a fan , add an air extractor maybe , you can use an humidifier in veg but not in flo ( not after the 2 first weeks of flowering ) . If you are growing autos and if you'r not afraid by light leaks then you can grow with a box 1/4 or 1/2 open , I am in the caribbean so belive me that my 2 boxes are 1/3 opened

I would add a fan you don’t want to add a humidifier because that will actually make the room raise in temperature! To help cook your room you need more air flow and possibly a dehumidifier! The less humidity in the air the easier it is to cool! Good luck 👍🍀
