LEaves are important piecces of anatomy and you should try to keep every single one you can. only remove leaves for a good reason. light hitting buds doesn't do shit. how well the buds develop and ripen is primarly about apical dominance and that has to do with height. leaves are responsibly for vast majority of photosynthesis, not stems and flower. creating a bunch of holes in your canopy will only reduce potential yield.
