photoperiod plants? if so just make sure not to interrupt the dark period and you'll control what you can control in regard to avoiding hermaphrodites.
Keep it happy and relatively stress free, That is all you can do.
if it's an autoflower, you don't even have to worry about he dark cycle.
"Nanners" (anthers, i believe) can be dealt with, but true herms grow pollen sacs, and those are a catastrophe waiting to happen. Lone nanners don't produce much pollen. One sac can pollinate an entire room.

Hermies can happen. Usually due to something we've done to piss her off. Defoiling too much, too much training, any stress on the plant can cause it to turn hermie.

(Sorry caregory doesn’t work) All plants sick even if different strain and different cultivation.All plants, different strain in different time, having issues growing especially when star blooming.
