Humidity in the tent - is it a problem? Outside the tent in the garage it's 7° C (45° F) and 70% RH Inside the tent (with 800 W heating), it's nice 25° C, but 20% RH I can bump it up with wet towels/spray Any other growers with similar circumstances / advice?

hey there growmie, the relationship between humidity and temperature is called VPD (vapor pressure deficit) and it regulates the growth rate of the plant. Especially in veg and at the seedling stage it's important. The difference will be huge. At the seedling stage you really dont need to water that much but you can put a glass bowl or dome on top of the seedling, this will help the seedling actually create its own atmosphere. Probably after a few days it will be 70/80 RH in the glass dome which is a good thing the first 2-3 weeks. at different stages in growth you'll need different temp/humidity ratios, just check the VPD charts and you'll know what's the best conditions for you. Great work getting the temperature down to 25°C though ! Hope this helps ! 🚀

Go with the buckets and a towel whicking water up by keeping one end in the water and the other suspended. A quick re-dunk as they dry and your set. Those little radiators are a nightmare with their dry heat dissipation. I use a tubular greenhouse one to good effect. Thankfully my lights create a perfect ambient temp now with the dehumidifier keeping it at around 60. I scored the thing in a facebook selling site for £5. they thought it was a heater. turns out it was a £200 dehumidifier. bonus. lol It makes life a hell of a lot easier for our damp climate in the uk. Air exchange is vital though and if heat is up you can use an exhale co2 to help your girls cope with it. they would thrive in that small space with a boost

100% get a humidifier. If you don't they will suffer. You want 40% rh in flower with good air flow. 😎

Hey my man, I had a similar situation aswell. The 20% RH are sort of a problem for germinating and vegging the plant (causes slightly slower growth as roots arent developed that well yet). Over the course of flowering, you want your RH to gradually decrease to about 35% to prevent mold in first place. Also keep in mind that in later stages of flowering, the plant will be way bigger and therefore will transpire way more humidity. Also, I learned from my past grows, that once the plant is adapted to the conditions and if it is only one condition thats a bit off (in your case RH) it doesnt really affect the grow that much. If you can, try to bump it up to about 35 - 40% during flower, but try not to go much higher than that (danger of mold and bud rot - so good airflow is needed aswell!). Hope that helped, if youve got more questions feel free to contact me ;) Cheerio my friend.
