My electric bill is stupid. I'm concidering going through the stock of auto seeds I have on 12/12 cycle. I'm expecting a longer flowering cycle.
What are your experience and opinions?

This is why I grow Photos. 12/12 for flower uses much less power. And I still end up with more bud than most Auto growers.
I guess your options are a smaller light and less yields or switch to photos and try to get more yield than your getting now and hope the 12/12 in flower makes the power bill cheaper enough to all work out in the end. If you can get more yield with 12/12 with photos, using cheaper but still good seeds, at least the cost per gram of weed will be a bit lower than now.

Hmmmmm.
For what you'll save in hrs with a 12/12 you'll lose in quality/quantity and time grown.
As autos work on a photosynthesis..
18-20hrs is recommended for a reason .
Nothing is stopping you from running 3 on 3 off its an auto. But all you're doing. Is stalling the photosynthesis and in the time she should be making bud with her limited lives mass out-put regardless of time. She'll defo lose out from a traditional grow

I’ve done it before when I’ve thrown autos in the tent with regular plants , they didn’t grow as big but the buds were still pretty nice . I feel you on electricity bills tho , mines 1000 a quarter

Oops- might have messed up and have wrong lighting???I might have confused the two strains I’m growing and have been treating a photo period as if it was an auto (18/6). In week 5 lots of preflower but no real top buds formed yet, I’m wondering if I screwed up with too much light. Should I switch to 12/12? Will 18/6 hurt a photoTechniques. 12-12 from seeds

Can an autoflower give photoperiod seeds?I had an auto plant that got me seeds. I grow two of its seeds, one is small and start flowering automatically
The other one was getting taller and not flowering. I changed light schedule to 12/12 last week and 2d ago it start develop pistils

Erratic light cycles for the first weekAny experience with keeping a seedling in 12/12 to begin with, then switching over to 18/6 after the first week? If this was yours, how would you proceed?Going into week 6. I just clipped the bad leaves that show in the picture and will be switching to the growing stage. Weird Autos (RQS NLA, same strain) still vegging day 50. Only some preflower, but nice plants. WHAT would YOU do?!This is the most unpredictable auto flowers I've ever had. It will be 50 days soon and only preflower on one plant. Ive used a 12/12 light schedule on autos before. Should I try this on these plants? If, so keep it 12/12 untill the end? Putting back into veg before pistils and sexual maturity?Can you veg even after a 12/12 from seed has been in flower room 3 weeks shes just not big enough and would also like to top her so I really am considering it, the reason being is I can't see one pistil yet which means she's not mature, I don't see why it would make a difference4y ago
