Knowing when and how to defoliate is causing me headache. Please have a look at week 15 pics and tell me how much more defoliation do I need. I'm worried about stunting the growth of the buds.There is too much of a shaded undergrowth.

I do see a few leaves on top that are blocking some of your buds. You can remove a few leaves from the top that are blocking light and give her a few days before removing any more. You can also remove some of the smaller buds on the bottom of the plants that aren't getting any light at all. That will direct the plants energy to building the top buds. Good luck finishing them up!

Generally, you'd remove any large leaves that are blocking bud sites or anything 4/5 nodes below a top cola, anything that won't stretch and anything dead.
