Hi there, so it could be a mold sporangia which I found growing on the inside of the compost container, its the forerunner to like a slime mold which feeds on decomposing matter, which isnt bad. It also could be a form of mycorrhizas there are so many types and they are in about 70% of plants and at their root zone and since its relationship is symbiotic its actually good for the plant. Seeing your plants completion I don't believe the fugi/mold youve seen is bad, I think it more likely its detecting decomposing soil bits like wood or other due to the age of the plant.
