Defoliation in flower

7/2 marked 3 weeks of my plant being put into flower, and what I’ve read online is that most people do a final defoliation after the 3rd week of flower… is it necessary to remove these fan leaves as well? I already trimmed any big fan leaves blocking light yesterday.

I would get rid of those leaves yes. I found that you can defoliate your plants quite aggressively in week 3 of flower, and for me, it improved the quality of the flowers quite a lot. I remove basically all fan leaves except for a few at the top of each branch. This gives you really good light penetration and air circulation! Also, I'd remove small branches at the bottom that don't get much light, as these will only produce larfy buds. Good luck with your grow, the plants are looking good!

Any tops that you don't think will amount to much and below the main canopy snip them. Look up lollypopping online. Strip the bottom 3rd of growth and leave the main tops that will produce good colas. This will ensure you get less larfy buds underneath and bring all the energy up to the main tops. Day 21 in flower is a good time to do this. After that you want to leave them alone as much as possible .snip the odd leaf if it is covering a top . ✌️
