Just for clarification you're asking can you just keep topping the plant when it keep producing new top sites?
Yeah of course you can, don't do it with autos. Waste of time.
You can take a feminised seed, chuck it under an 18/6 light schedule and veg her out indefinitely whilst topping each new top site and you'll just end up with one huge horizontal plant. Then, if you so wish you can switch it onto a 12/12 cycle and flower it out having a ridiculous amount of bud sites.
I imagine if you put a feminised XXL strain in a 100x100x200cm tent with an SF4000 or bigger on an 18/6 cycle for like 24 months it would be huge. Probably never as big as an outdoor equivalent, but probably still fun all the same.

I would choose GreenThumbedGrower as the right answer and I would like to add that the more you topp the smaller the buds will be but your yield will increase if done right, the only thing is that it's also strain dependent some strains yield less if you go overboard with topping, with other words unless you have several grows or know that specific strain well I would not top more than 2 or 3 times. By the way this not the right answer it's just extra info on what GreenThumbedGrower said. Have a good one with big fat sticky buds ๐ค๐

yes, a lot of people use LST so the side shoots and main cola are same height then top it all to make a massive cola canopy.
