Plant bleeding when I topped it?

I topped my clones for the first time today and saw a red liquid where I made the cut. Almost like the plant was bleeding. I didn’t get a photo this time but, I found a pic online that looked exactly like mine. Not worried about it, but didn’t find a lot of info online about it.

It does it to protect itself. That will harden off and stop the plant juices from progressing further and seal up any open tissues. Its not really blood but I can see the similarities between the two. Blood carries oxygen in invertebrate animals. Other plants do this but with a latex vs just plant juices. Ever snapped a stem of milkweed off. its white latex is sticky and helps seal it up. it also is a deterrent for pests as it taste bad and can be toxic, Its also the reason it got its name. a weed that makes "milk" when damaged. Granted some bugs take advantage of things like this and when they consume the plant they gain its toxic traits and will protect them. aka, monarch butterfly's/caterpillars. Good Luck!

It is most likely a landrace strain in Cambodia. It’s bag seeds…Pretty stoked it’s a rare thing!

Hat denke mal mit der Genetik zutun, Bei mir werden die sonst weißlich, bei Purple Sprten habe ich es nicht versucht. Aber sehr interessant zu beobachten.

Its just rare thing pal. I've no clue as to why. But, lots of plants bleed like that. Its just clear.. I've seen ppl talk about it and asking about color of nutrients. But, that doesn't make sense. Plants don't absorb colors of liquids. But, other than that. Its just a rare thing mate.
