To lower the temperature during the drying process and maintain an optimal environment, you can consider the following: Increase Ventilation: Ensure good air circulation by using fans strategically. While one fan is blowing off the wall, consider adding another fan to promote air exchange within the drying space. Adjust Fan Speed: Experiment with the fan speed to find the right balance. Sometimes, a lower fan speed might be more effective in creating gentle airflow without excessive drying. Temperature Control: If possible, adjust the ambient temperature of the room where the drying tent is located. You might be able to achieve the desired range by modifying the room's temperature. Use Exhaust Fans: If the drying tent has exhaust ports, consider using exhaust fans to draw out warmer air. This can help in maintaining a cooler temperature inside the tent. Evaluate Lighting: Ensure that any lights inside or near the drying tent are not contributing to an increase in temperature. If applicable, use low-heat or LED lighting. Monitor External Factors: Keep an eye on external factors that might affect temperature, such as changes in weather or room temperature fluctuations. Remember that slow and controlled drying is often preferred to preserve the quality of the harvest. It's essential to strike a balance between temperature, humidity, and airflow to achieve an optimal drying environment. Regularly monitor these conditions and make adjustments as needed throughout the drying process.

btw, when i said i set my fan in the bathroom, i was referring to the oscillating fan that moves the air around. I do not run a extraction fan in there because that will dry your shit out way to fast and you'll end up with a bag load of hay. Low and slow brutha!

If you are drying your weed, get the dehumidifier outta there. It's producing heat! You don't want to dry your flowers out super fast man you want that process to take place or like 7 to 10 days. When i dry my stuff i run a humidifier in my drying run not a dehumidifier. I want the humidity in there to be at least 50% but ideally 60%. I have a oscillating fan that blows air around in there but i have no extraction fan of any kind. I put my rack in a bathroom, set my fan, set my humidifier and close the door. Checking on my flowers daily. Room temperature is fine for me and 60% humidity is the sweet spot. I don't hang my flowers and leave them on the stems. To me that's a ridiculous waste of time. Wet trim and throw them on a mesh drying rack and let them be. Check daily. If they feel dry and you think they are ready to be bagged, bag it up. If the bagging sweats it to the point the weed is wet still, then dump it out on your rack again for another day or 2. I swear the stupid shit people do with their weed is astounding to me sometimes. It's not complicated until you throw in stupid wives tail crap into the mix.

I had same problem. The answer it to simply remove the dehumidifier outside the tent into your lung room. The fresh air being pulled from your lung room will now be lower humidity thus lowering the tents humidity. Although in first few days humidity will be higher then your target it come down. Removing the dehumidifier lowers the tents temp as the dehumidifier gets hot. Also adding a AC unit in the room either portable or window. I run a window ac unit and it keeps my Temps perfectly dialed in. Those are your only options my friend. You could turn the inline fan up higher but that higher airflow will drastically increase drying time and could cause the dreaded hay smell. You want cold Temps low humidity and very low air movement just enough to pull the moisture off the buds. Good luck growmie Please consider selecting me as the answer so I can be entered for a chance to win grower of the month contest I would really appreciate your support growmie 😃 🙏

moving the dehum outside tent -- if you intake from that 'lung' area, it won't change much, if at all. I guess, a very large room might be a context in which would help in a measurable way... if the heat can spread out enough. may hve to run it 5% less RH as the tent will be ambient + X, i.e. a bit higher than the room. this will add more heat, too.

fans move air, they don't cool. need an AC or reduce heat produced int hat area. your lights, dehum and any other equipment all add heat. remove heat from area. if the heat source can't go outside the containing room or exhausted outside that room, not much you can do about the cause of the heat. exhausting out a window can be expensive in colder climates. just piping hot air outside and furnace works harder etc... consider any ramifications of what you choose to do. i do grows during colder seasons nowadays because adding humidity (furnace air is dry) is much cheaper than cooling. think my humidiier is 35watts and has a 5 gallon tank. A larger grow increases initial investment but economies of scale are gained and realized over time. Plus, big lights last 2-2.5X, if you only use them for 2 grows per year. The point is you can save money and avoid the problem, with a bit larger grows and less frequent. time off is priceless too

Put the dehumidifier outside of tent where air is being drawn in will cool temp more. Add a ac unit for area the tent is in. Or if money is ample for you. You can look into a cannatrol. I saved and got one. Was best thing I ever did for my drying/curing process.

Take the dehumidifier out of the tent it's blowing warm air inside, instead place it in the room where the tent is. That will help lower your temps in the tent drastically. You could also lower the temp inside your home/room. Drying is supposed to be done @60 degrees and 60%rh. Don't listen to them telling you your temps are fine.

Why lowering temp ITS good thats ITS warm and dry in First Case. Some airflow do the Rest. For 2-3 days its fine after that Unbudding the branches and giving them into grobe bags. Or taking them into paperbags Or hard Important Look twice a Day for the Weed. Jars have to be opened twice a Day too Using boveda Packs into the jars IS the safest way.
