Think one of them misread the question and answering whether you should give extended dark period before harvest, which is definitely a myth, but not what the question is asking, here. If it's in flower, the only thing you have to avoid is giving it less than 10+ hours of uninterrupted darkness. (12h is safe, stick to that as there is potential variance between plants). It's not a good thing to do, but if it has to be done, you should be fine. If you interrupte the dark period or don't give a long enough duration of darkness, you risk a re-vege, which would be far worse than any negative from missing 1 light cycle.
