There is a VERY fine line between using enough and using too much when used in its pure form, too much will severely limit/stifle growth.
I much prefer to use malted barley flour which also contains large amounts of indole -3-acetic acid (IAA), another growth hormone that promotes cell division and increases growth. It is extremely safe and impossible to overdose with.
A teaspoon or two for seedlings sprinkled on the surface then watered in every 3 weeks or so and a tablespoon or two about half way through veg and then again after about 3 weeks of flowering, shows exceptional results.
In its pure form, anything more than 10 miligrams per 10 litres would be considered an overdose - that is one hundredth of a gram per 10 litres!
Unless you are growing acres of pot and using 100s of gallons of water, I would steer clear of using it in its pure form.
It really is only applicable to broad acre agricultural crop use in its pure form, despite what eBay says.
Hope this helps, Organoman.
