Pull or push?

Everyone I know has both the extractor fan and the filter outside the tent and pushes the air out through the filter.

Pulling allows you to run negative pressure, which in turn helps control smells. Grow tents aren't air tight so you're more likely to still get odors if you push and create positive pressure in your tent.

the other growers are right most will pull air through you can use both a normal exhaust and a carbon filter if you want to but wouldnt be much point :) I dont think it matters that much as in principle your still doing the same thing i think pulling it through would be more efficiant but hey its upto you buddy your grow your rules :) aslong as you have intake and outake with filter i wouldnt worry unless your legal where you grow then i wouldnt bother with the filter lol depending on your living situation :)

Most pull and some filters are not meant for pushing. The one I have works both ways but I use it pulling air. as I like everything inside the tent so it clean looking from the outside. The problem with pushing is their is no filter and will clog faster.
