Lighting cycle for VEG stage. Is 24x7 OK?

Hi, Should I use the VEG lights 24x7 from the time I plant my seed until it's ready to bloom, or would something like 18 hours on and 6 hours off make more sense? Is there a "best practice" for veg lighting? It has worked for my first 3 grows. VIPARSPECTRA 600W LED Thanks, Mr.STM

Never grow at 24/0..............plants NEED "sleep" to have a correctly functioning metabolism. A plant with an incorrectly functioning metabolism will never be as healthy as it should be or grow to its full potential. 18/6 is best............24/0 is the biggest myth in the cannabis growing world.

Plants are living and like rest. They need 4 to 6 hours of dark a day. Plus it is a lot better on your equipment

18/6 is the most preferred time to veg. It allows a period of rest which people swear is beneficial for the plant and the soil. I know that it is clearly better on my equipment to not run 24/7 and my electric bill. I’ve notice ZERO difference in doing both times and finally decided on 18/6 was better for me.

Really?These girls same strain (strawberry cough photo), born on same day, same medium same feeding except the one on the right was removed from the light about 3 weeks ago and put outside.
