Light Science

Has anyone watched some Youtube videos by Dr Bruce Bugbee from Apogee Instruments? I find his lectures on lighting to be the most straight forward explanations I have heard yet. I found his vid called "The New 400-750 nm ePAR Range Explained with Dr. Bruce Bugbee" to be eye opening on lighting colours. I have changed my LED's based on a few of his vids. He explains what plants really want and those Burple lights just don't cut it. For those that don't know he is a professor at the University of Utah that legally studies cannabis growth. He takes the science of weed grow to a whole new level.

If you want to learn real modern horticultural practices and make growing cannabis easier watch all his videos. You can even take a cannabis class online at Utah state university .most what growers tell you on this site is stoner bullshit that is wrong and has been proved wrong to but people's keep doing same stupid bullshit

Hey earesttwwg and Candog I agree with both of you. I have checked out a few of those channels mentioned and they are very good references. I haven't tried super soil yet, I have been using the same batch of potting soil and perlite 50/50 for about 5 years both in outdoor balcony and indoor and just keep super flushing it after each crop. I depend on nutrients and whatever small roots from the last crop to compost. Candog , I have watched just about all of his. I tend to lean toward the Scientific methods and theories. I like him because I don't loose interest after a few minutes. My oddball collections of LED's is getting much better thanks to his vids on light. Check out week one of one of my diaries for a description. Thanks for the replies you two.

He's got some good video lectures, for sure. I'm a fan of watching Grand Master Level, Garden Talks with Mr. Growit, and BuildASoil, myself. They have a lot of information on just about every topic you can think of. Plus, I grow in organic super soil, which is what BuildASoil and Mr. Growit focus a decent amount of their videos on. Oh! I can't forget about GreenGoblin510 as a reference and information pillar for JADAM and KNF recipes on YouTube. If you haven't checked out these channels on YouTube,I highly recommend them.
