Hey there, sounds like your plant’s being a bit stubborn. Here’s the lowdown on what might be going on and what you can do about it. What Might Be Happening Slow Growth: Some plants just take their time. It doesn’t necessarily mean something’s wrong. If the plant looks healthy otherwise, it might just be a slow starter. Sometimes, patience is key. Possible Mutation: Occasionally, plants end up with mutations that cause weird growth patterns—like deformed leaves or no new leaves from the center. If you’re seeing strange, non-symmetrical growth, it could be a genetic thing. Light Issues: Too much light too early can stress your plant and stunt its growth. If the growth tip looks burnt or damaged, your light setup might be too intense. Dialing it down could help the plant recover and start growing normally. What You Can Do First off, give it a bit more time. Keep an eye on it for any signs of new growth. Plants can surprise you and suddenly take off when you least expect it. Next, check your lighting. If you think it might be too strong, try moving the light a bit further away or reducing the intensity. Plants can get light-burned if the lights are too close or too bright. Also, inspect the growing tip. Make sure it’s not damaged or burnt. A healthy growing tip is crucial for new leaf development. If, after some time, nothing seems to change and your plant isn’t growing any new leaves, it might be quicker to start fresh with a new seed. Sometimes, that’s just how it goes. In the meantime, keep the conditions optimal—right soil, proper watering, and the right amount of light. Stay patient and keep those good vibes flowing. Your plant will likely bounce back and start growing strong.

It’s fine she will grow strong I had the same problem and now she has grown with 3 main branches. I’m growing the same strain and mine started the same way. It’s because it must have taken a bit for the leafs to open up in her.

When I see baby leaves like this I find its from the seed getting to much water. Mine will come out of it but it might take its time and it could indeed be a dude like susgested below.

the deformed leafs looks a bit like the plant #3 in my diary. However, for me it just was low growth at first, real sign of mutation (deformed leafs, non-symmetrical growth, missing leafs) did show a bit later on... In my case I am 100% sure that it is a mutation as I have two well built healthy plants from the same strain that were treated the same.

looks like zero internode developed between the first 2 nodes - if not due to whawtever is going on, your light is too strong, too early. Looks like that is the case in week 1 too. And, is the growth tip damaged or burned off? this may be self-inflicted as opposed to a mutation. In either case, probably faster to start over. If new to this, read up basics of planting seed -- it's the same for most plant. Nothing new or different about the marijuana plant. if oyu want to salvage, drop light intensity significantly until you see a reaosn to amp it back up. Resulting internode length is the guide for light intensity.

It's a dud...........not all seeds make it, unfortunately. Don't waste your time hoping for a miracle.

Looking at your overall diary during the first two weeks, it appears like you are overwatering your plant. During the first few weeks of life, these plants do not need a ton of water because they do not have the root system to uptake all that water. Proper watering practices should be implemented during all times of a grow but are especially important during the first few weeks where it is easy to drown out a plants roots. Water enough to saturate your ENTIRE soil bed. All of it till you see run off. This should be done over a few minutes to allow the water to saturate and not just run down one channel to the bottom. Then only water again as needed, by sticking your finger down about 1.5” and feeling if it’s dry or wet or by judging by how light the pot feels. This would be around every 3-5 days at this point of its life. You really want your roots to go searching for water, not be constantly submerged in it. It should pull though but I do believe it is stunted at the moment. I hope this helps.

I think I can see the little growth tip in the middle there. The plant will most likely grow out of any weirdness, just give it a little time.
