How do I tell when my cbd plant is ready to harvest? Do I look for cloudy and amber trichomes? Are there other signs than those for regular thc plants?

I'd harvest it like other plants. 30% amber is a bit much for me. 10% or less is my ideal. but to each their own.

When there are 98-99% brown pistils/hairs, you will be in the harvest zone. 98-99% brown pistils usually co-incides with 10-30% amber trichomes fairly reliably.............without having to look at the trichomes and guess the percentages of clear/milky/amber trichomes.

The whole trichome method is strongly correlated to THC potency. CBD may or may not have the same time frame. Gonna need someone with a major in chemistry to chime on in this one, lol. In absence of that, i'd just make sure the plant is ripe and healthy -- seems to taste the best and you get the potency, give or take.

To tell if your CBD plant is ready to harvest, look for cloudy trichomes (indicating peak CBD levels) and 10-30% amber trichomes. Also, watch for pistils turning brown/orange, swollen buds, and yellowing fan leaves. These signs are similar to THC plants, but focus more on maximizing CBD by harvesting when most trichomes are cloudy, rather than waiting for more amber ones. 😉✌️
