Defoliate or not defoliate?

Phaleg

Hi! Is it worth to defoliate or do anything on these 4 strains? I upload photos of each (the one with clay pot is an Auto) and description details can be found in last page of my diary. Thanks for the help and PEACE! 😊

Hey 👋 I would not suggest to remove any leaves if not really necessary. Your plants structure lets the light enter each part of the plant from what I can see. Me personally I only remove the leaves which do not get any light or which shade the buds so light can not enter them. If I would remove Any I would take the lowest ones as written previously. They would disturb me while watering, so those can be removed. Hope this helped 👊🍀👋 Enjoy your journey !

Absolutely not...........what will removing energy making, plant life sustaining leaves achieve? How will the plants benefit from having their energy makers removed?? Just remember........less leaves = less energy being made = less potential..........it is that simple. "Defoliation" is NOT a required "technique" when growing cannabis. I would suggest only ever removing leaves that have gone yellow. If the plants would not NEED those leaves, they would not grow them in the first place!

yeah u can defoliate but not too much at once.. when i grow autos i take a way one or two leaves per take.. so she wont get stressed (sje needs the lil time she has) especially when growing oudoor, leaves have a great function to protectt he buds but when the buds get too big they can get in the way and i remove them.. so at the end of the grow .. there is not much leaves left but she did not get any stresss from it for PP is different but also never take away more than 10% at once good luck growmie🙏

Definitely defoliate the last, bigger bushier one. Keeping the bottom clean is crucial to prevent mold and pests, as I learned the hard way.

Not necessary IMO. If you have airflow and humidity issues I might be tempted to defoliate, but I'm guessing that is not a problem for you. I would leave them as is

Personally I would get rid of some of those bottom leaves, it's called lollypopping like you would to an apple tree... Over all good looking plants.
