If I expose less light to my seedling and I let her stretch. Will the bigger size of the plant have an effect on the sizes of the flowers or is the plant going to genetically produce whats it made for?

Relative to genetics.. (can't force a square peg through a round hole / put lipstick on a pig etc)... If you were giving too much before, it will help. There's a happy zone you want -- not too much stretch but also not too tight (re: node spacing). Also, new grwoth is where you'll see the effect. Old growth won't stretch out too much but can add 'some' length over time between nodes. Shoot for 35-40DLI, adjust based on growth pattern. Take notes and throw out the initial estimation as plant growth is a better guide. if you have seasonal change in temp and RH, you may need to have seasonal adjustments. what you can give will be different from someone else unless you are both maintaining a lab-precise climate and precise amounts of atmospheric CO2. A plant can adapt to "too much light" as it does outside, but indoors that just means you trained it to waste electricity. bud size? It'll just happen. There's no magic products that "boosts" bud size or flowering. That's a bunch of overpriced marketing nonsense. Keep it happy.. provide "max" DLI relative to local variables.. this is what you control. Don't worry about the rest.

Agree with Organiman. Stretching will make the plant bigger in height, but that does not translate to bigger buds and if anything its a net loss as the plants become less stable and are more prone to snapping.

Genetics is EVERYTHING...........you can't make a plant grow bigger buds by stretching it or any other ghetto science idea. Healthy plant = full potential............there are no magical tricks to change a plants' genetic program.

Stretching too early can create thin, brittle stems that require staking. A good way is to start with a thick stem for the first 5-6 leaf sets by keeping the light closer and stronger, then topping or LST and pulling the light back to stretch her out. This way, you have a strong foundation that can support the long, bud-heavy canes you are seeking. I wouldn't recommend doing it in reverse unless you are going to ScroG, even then a fatter healthier stalk at the base delivers more nutrients, faster. Think of a pyramid shape for strength, not the other way round. I hope that helps.

Bigger Plants/ Roots = Bigger fruits ! But only less light to provoke a stretch is probably not the best way cause Stems could get weak compared to plantsize. Longer veg, bigger Pots etc are probably better ways to improve results.
