Before the flowering cycle. I always take fresh, strongly growing upper branches, not weak lower growths.

definitely re-vege it and wait for normal growth to resume.. you can take some cuttings now but don't depend on them.. if they do happen to root, not impossible but less probable success, you can abort the re-vege. Just don't depend on the cuts from flower being successful. Unless you can take a ton of them and "1" rooting becomes more certain. Still have to watch it struggle through a re-vege, so i don't think either path will save much time before you have a well-rooted, properly growing mother-plant.

It's tougher to take a clonen off a young plant, so if it's older than 30 days, that's good. Make sure the plant is in prime health and go prune off some branches, lol. Make sure you get at least 3 nodes, and one node should be buried. Leave a little stem below the node so you don't damage it. A high RH is going to be key. You want to nearly stop transpiration during rooting process. It needs very low levels of light or you'll cause cannibalization -- a little yellowing is fine, too, but you can root plant sfast and have them healthy looking, so it's a good goal to have. once some roots have formed - usually see a very noticeable uptick in growht out of nowhere - you can start to give more light. there are numerous videos you can follow. Look up the rubisco video about cloning on youtube. www.youtube.com/watch www.youtube.com/watch www.youtube.com/watch Keep it simple.. you can overspend on magical stuff that won't help much. A cheap root hormone might help but don't pay for clonex brand that uses same exact active ingredient as everything else, lol. Low transpiration, low light... patience. A very mild charge of nutes in medium is fine, too.

For you ,you will need to re-veg it. No big deal. Worth a shot if you really liked it. You have to be patient. It really depends you can have lots of reasons for doing certain things. I tend to wait towards before flipping to flower and I use the bottom shoots as clones because they get taken off the mom anyway. In some cases you could get a clone of the main stalk to top the plant if it was over grown. This would make a good way to keep the mom from the original plant with tap root, and use the first clone to flower. I never have enough space to try this stuff. i had a veg tent last yea and got overrun with moms, now i run two flower tents and makeshift veg areas which makes it hard to keep clones. I used to get wound up in keeping my phenos, but im pretty sure most of the seed im growing is pretty good and not much virety within each one. So if i need it again I can just start a new seed. I wouldnt get too hung up on it you may even find a better one.

Not easy in flower stage to clone, will take twice as long to grow roots and reveg. Can it be done, sure, with patience. You want to take a stem about 6”long during the vegetative cycle. Doesn’t matter if it’s the bottom or towards the top of the plant, just good strong new growth, not woody. Do a little more research in the different methods for cloning. Some are faster than others. I use the spray/bucket method where there is a constant spray on the stem, easy to control the reservoir mix, humidity, etc, it works best for me.

how the others said, if this dont work you could try to reveg her after you harvested

You can take clones in flower as well. just have to reveg the clone/cutting. best to take the cuts from lower on the plant but I have cloned out new growth before as well.
