Seeing as I see nothing to make me think male or female yet , apart from more leaves after leaves, should I presume this plant isn’t an auto flower as were at week 5? I know the bag the seed was found in was a good smoke lol , will the seed be a female or could it go either way?

Hi @U2malone there are certain automatic strains that only start to bloom at 6/7 weeks. wait a little longer, if it doesn't start to bloom you will have to change the light hours to 12/12. Some automatic phenotypes on the market have genetic flaws and are not automatic plants, but normal female plants. see in the nodes of the plant if it has female calyx or pollen bags. the structure seems to me to be a female plant, if it’s automatic I don’t know. good luck mate 👍

It's a bagseed and it's the only things we know , now we have to guess so the plant is still not flowering or showing sex after 5 weeks and we know that at that stage the autos are generally showing a pistils or 2 and are starting to stretch, it could happen later like week 6 but sometimes it is happening even later like after 8 weeks ( flash seeds have some strains they are calling super autos and thay are longer to get into flowering ) BUT it is very rare so we can présume that your plant is a photoperiodic. Knowing that photo can be either feminised or regular let's guess once again. So when you are growing regular seeds we can generally see tha male show thair sex earlier than the ladies , and the goal is to select the female to keep them and throw away the male because they are useless if you wanna harvest only buds but at that stage some pollen from a male could have been released and polenised a female , in that case tha seeds are regular so you can get either female , male or hermies plants So at that stage if the plant is regular then it is a female and at that stage of the guessing we can compare a feminised photo and a regular seeds that turned female , thay are similar and both female so they can't make seeds which makes me think about the only credible idea : the plant was an hermie or was in a room with an hermie and did get polenised by that hermie so your plant can be a female or an hermie . From my experience you have a great chance to have an hermie plant , maybe a mostly feminised hermie with only one or 2 pollen sacks but a photoperiodic hermie. That said , Chemdog and Ogkush was breed out of a bag seed !

Hey there, first, I have read Autos are all over the place in when they start to flower, even when in the same batch/order of seeds. Week 5 in flower, with no signs, means little if you suspect Auto. I've read where they have had to flip the lights to 12/12 to try and coax them to flower. Depending on whether that weed was from a feminized seed to start, or the weed was from a regular seed, will determine sex going forward. As I understand it, if the former was true, these seeds will produce female plants, most likely. If it is the latter seed type, you may get either sex.
