seeds here now can eat a dick.
30% germ rate on first 10-pack and 50% on 2nd 10-pack. Their "replacement gaurantee" costs you money to replace defective goods -- didn't even get the strain I wanted because they wrote up my 'buy-one-get-one half off' sale wrong on the receipt. Instead of one at full price, which was the strain i wanted, and one at half price, which i only got because of the sale, my 'replacement' reward points didn't cover the actual cost of replacement. I had to pay 40-50 more or pick a cheaper pack and still pay 10-15 for shipping and change. Obviously, they did that on purpose to hedge their 'replacement gaurantee' risk.
Name a place where you buy a defective product, then have to pay more for the replacement goods of lesser value and a bloated s/h price as a cherry on top. "Seeds Here Now" is one of those places.
A breeder may have a good reputation, but if the seller stores them in a sauna or something, reputation doesn't matter.
---------------
I couldn't tell you if the shitty germ rate was the breeder or a problem with SHN storage methods. But they are stamped 2024, so they aren't old. The seeds i bred 4-5 years ago all still germinate approaching 100% and all i do is store them in a drawer in a room that stays 70F or cooler year-round. Have never complained about germination rates every before. Never had a problem.* When all the other seeds pop just fine and 1 pack of seeds has an issue, it stands out like a sore thumb. These weren't the only seeds i planted. The medium was fine for 10 seeds of 2 other strains.
*My tap water pH shifted from 8.4 to 7.0 and i ph-balanced based on 8.4. This resulted in a low germ rate, but it was my mistake and nothing to do with the seller/breeder.
