Week 4 of Flower started but one plant still won‘t produce any trichomes ( the Small one on the left side, the other are fine) Is it a genetic issue or are there some phenos producing trichomes later in flower ?

I've wondered the same there has been times when trichomes feel like they are way early and some that leave it late, the most critical factors for maximum trichome development remain mostly genetics, a stable growing environment with adequate stress helps to illicit increased trichome development. (controlled drought). Genetics are not dictated but expressed, the level of expression is equally (50%) determined by the environment. No need to reinforce trichome development if there is no stress to illicit the increase in demand. What's good for trichomes is not necessarily what's optimal for terpenes. Trichomes being the physical structure but what's far more important imo is the oils that the trichomes contain, that's mostly sulfur.

It’s totally normal to see some variation here! At week 4 of flower, some phenotypes are just late bloomers and take a bit longer to start pumping out resin, especially if the plant is a bit smaller or running on a slightly different genetic timeline than its tent mates. Since it’s a different pheno, it might just be focusing its energy on building the bud structure first before covering itself in frost. Give it another week or two to catch up. As long as the plant looks healthy otherwise, there’s no need to worry just yet. Happy Growing Growmie🌱
