Take a look at week 7 the last picture. Polyaxial growth. That branch is flat and wide. They can make some crazy looking buds! Have you experienced this on your grow? Paste a link so I can check it out too!

Spot on, mate! You’ve struck genetic gold with a textbook case of fasciation (crestation)! Massive props for catching this—that flat, ribbon-like stem structure is the result of your plant's apical meristem expanding horizontally instead of vertically. It is a relatively rare and totally harmless cellular anomaly that essentially turns a single branch into a super-highway for growth. Keep a close eye on it because those crazy 'monster buds' are going to look absolutely legendary once they fill out that extra surface area. Brilliant job keeping this beauty thriving! 🌿🚀

I had it on this one: growdiaries.com/diaries/285413-grow-journal-by-farmerrasa It produced a big bud cluster that I watched like a hawk for signs of rot, etc. No issues and harvested it! It was fun to grow it out. Some people don't like to grow the poly branches out but I thought it was very worth it. Just keep exceptional circulation and check the buds daily in flower and you'll be fine. If it does rot, well, just cut it out. Can't hurt to try to grow it imo. Especially if you want some cool grow pics!

That wide, ribbed stem looks like fasciation, where the growing tip splits into a flat band instead of a round stem. It can come from genetics, or from stress such as topping, damage, or a hormone swing, and in flower it often makes big, odd-shaped colas. The plant is usually fine, but dense flat buds hold moisture, so keep good airflow and check them for mold late in flower. It usually isn't passed on reliably, so if you want to keep the trait, clone it.
