This week I switched up the lights. I had been using 6500k T5 bulbs that a friend gave me for free. I planned on changing two of the bulbs to 3500k when she went into flower but I could not find the right length in the 3500k. I decided to purchase a Parfactworks led. I installed the light on day 32 and transitioned her to the new spectrum. She is LOVING it! :D

I wish I had a clone of this plant it was a best of a grower also the buds just keep gettting fatter and fatter they buds have a crazy dank smell and the structure of the buds is nice very low leaf to calex just an all around winner for sure

06/15/2020 Harvesting a good amount of pollen, not sure if you can see but it is cloudy in here. Female will be fed Happy Frog fruit and flower 9-4-3. And that will be all she gets till harvest time (seeds popping out.) Next week male should be spent, putting out clouds of pollen every day very copious amounts! And diary will continue till I harvest her seed. Just topping off reservoir with plain water for the male I have got 1.3 grams of beautiful pollen to selectively pollinate only the finest of female specimens for at least 6 months. Cookie Cake will get dusted with this bad boy. As well as Red Sky #1

8/30/17 It's been an emotional week, sorry for the lack of updates. I finally had to admit that 4 of my plants, while fully pre-flowered, did not auto-flower under 20 hour lights. The decision was made to remove them from the tent. It was a tough decision made easier as Auto Speed Bud #3 reached over 130cm and was touching the light, blocking light from plants that WERE flowering. There was really no choice at that point. So I spent 2 days trying to find them a new home. Yes, I had grown attached. Yes I found them a home. They have been transferred to soil and will be going under 12/12. I don't really know the guy well who ended up with them (a friend of a friend), so I don't know if I will ever know how they did, but they were part of my first grow so I am glad they got adopted rather than me having to kill them. In other news, I have had to start adding stakes to keep buds from falling, notably on the Kush (my superstar and only LST plant) and the Mango Cream, which seems to have hollow stems. I was concerned about this until I read up on it and hollow stems are a sign of no lockout or deficiencies and good nute uptake. They certainly look beautiful, so this is good news. However, so far 3 stakes have been added to the Mango Cream, so I hope I didn't damage the roots too much. I am looking into an alternative to stakes for the next go round. I didn't expect buds that heavy, but I ain't complaining! Switching from Ful-Potential to Ful-Power when I soon finish the bottle. Nothing wrong with Ful-Potential, I just keep hearing about how good the chelation in the Ful-Power is, so I am game to try it since I need more Humics/Fulvics anyway. It is worth noting that I am now running ALL the GH nutes at full strength with no hint of burn. I am tempted to push them, but being my first grow, I don't think I will. However, this is a solid foundation for me to tinker with formulas for my next grows. The medium and my setup has performed wonderfully so far, and if the harvest is a success, I will certainly be more confident to experiment further. I may, however, use full strength Ful-Power which recommends reducing nutes by 10-20%. Instead of increasing nutes, full strength Ful-Power may give me the boost I am looking for while minimizing burn potential. I love that coco helps buffer and flush things, by nature, that the plant isn't using. I am so stoked that I ended up choosing coco for my 1st grow, but that is another topic for another day! I have edited the diary to reflect the loss of 2 strains and the title to reflect the current reality. Perhaps I should have left them unchanged. I am not sure. However, the diary title and strains are correct at this point. So there it is. I am now attempting to feed all 6 plants every day. There will be some days that I miss, but so far my 10 gallon bucket produces enough runoff on 6 plants if watered daily and most people who end up adopting this late stage strategy often would double/quadruple it if they could spare the time and/or afford the nutes. Once a day seems a good enough way to take advantage of the benefits of the medium without diminishing returns. I wish that I had the type of life that allowed me to set up proper control groups to test this stufff. I have also permanently started emptying the dehumidifier into the nute bucket as it has a PH of around 5.3 (my tap is around 8) and a ppm of around 8 (my ppm varies from 150-200 since i have been monitoring), 1-2 gallons a day to help out. I am loving it as much as PH down with white vinegar. I also obtained a water quality report and found that although my agency adds chlorine, they do not add chloramine so airing the bucket out for 14-16 hours after filling from the tap and cutting it with dehumidifier water should remove any threat to the beneficial living things that I have added to my girlies, so this is good news. 8/31/17 Man, I wish I used stakes from day 1. Every additional stake I put in makes me cringe and more stakes are becoming necessary. I am just lucky they are so healthy.

The flowers are starting to fill in. The bucket had a slight sent to it so I opted to run a two hour flush with florakleen ph'd. I then added fresh nutrients for the week. I also upped the hydroguard to 2.5 ml/gal. Thoughts on the 2hr flush? Add some calmag and adjusted the light. Did more LST to, it was getting bit to humid. Looks like its getting fatter and fatter.

11/12 start of week 3 of flower hoping she is done stretching cus I'm out of room when it comes to height. Gave all the goodies plus added Fulpower and molasses 11/14 stretching seems to have stopped. Dropped humidity and raised vpd to stay around 1.5 and raised light intensity so it's 1000 ppfd at top of plant

The plant continues to develop very evenly, with a strong main cola and many well-formed side branches carrying healthy bud sites. Bud stacking has clearly started, and the structure now looks set, with little to no additional stretch expected. Purple tones are becoming more pronounced in the calyxes while resin production is steadily increasing across the canopy. Overall the plant looks vigorous and balanced, showing great yield potential as it moves deeper into the flowering phase.

This week went well. No water or food for the girls because I have been busy. They seem happy . Glad to see Mantisis patrolling the greenhouse. Pretty good for now i did not have to train themthis week

Lemon cherry cookies,Cherry cola and Ztrawberriez are all getting closer to harvest.They are still drinking heavy and trichomes are almost all cloudy on the 3.I still have a lot more time left with Strawberry pie,Papaya cookies,and Pound cake which they are all starting to show some maturity.

Progress: starting to harvest. Update 10/9, we’re in the amber zone and will cut it all by 10/11. Marathon OG; 1 plant. Started harvesting earlier in the week, gradually taking down mature or at risk colas. The plant is probably going to be my best this year. Yield so far; I harvested 75%: fresh froze 2gal and cured 9oz. Theres another 4 oz still on the plant. 75% good to high quality dense and resin packed buds. This yield is for a 20 gallon plant. Lava cake: 4 plants (3-15 gallon 1-5 gallon). The main colas were mature with some amber. The sex pods were rotting on some so I took them down first to prevent any bud rot. Colas were mature (mostly mains) with hard dense buds. I took 30% and left about 70% still growing. I froze 4 gallons and harvested about a pound or so, hard to say yet as it’s just starting to dry. PPP is still waiting to be harvested. Funky looking purple bud stacks. Still some clear trichomes, mostly milky. Cant wait to try it. I ran some bubble hash: I ran some fresh frozen marathon OG as well as a pound from last years harvest. Bubble Hash Yield; < 2 0z 3g rosin quality A+quality (use a rig!) 10g high quality (dark rosin hash) A- quality 38g hash C quality (smoke in joints, like OG hash, but cleaner.) 10g low grade d/e quality (edibles or press for rosin) The fresh frozen produced the high quality rosin, but at a lower yield. The dried and cured pound from last years harvest produced so much ( an ounce and a half) it clogged up my micron bags. It’s good hash, but nothing like the fresh frozen rosin like hash. It’s gonna be a busy week of feeding, scoping, harvesting, drying, curing and trimming. The lava and the OG smoke great. The marathon og is so far my favorite to smoke. I have not tasted the purple push pops yet…..

The fun is starting! Lots of pistils popping on her and she’s stretching! At this phase when I see sites I foliar feed with liquid manganese, 1 ml per gallon, and do this one time, after week 3/4 when I really see trichomes I don’t foliar feed anymore I also am using a bunch of new nutrients for this run that I honestly did a lot of eye measuring once I got it down lol, so feel free to ask any questions and I’d be glad to fill you in! I used every ingredient from silica to microbes and enzymes, sulfur, molasses etc, I felt like a mad scientist this run lol

Finally veg week before flowering

Day 70 from seed Went on vacation for couple of weeks. Autopot saved me! Did alot of defoliation for it was necessary. Smelling like citrus. She is still stacking/bulking buds. SE 3000 71% 30 CM above canopy 700 PPFD Day 72 from seed These upcoming days is peak blast until step down. Upped PPFD to 750-800. SE3000 on 75% 30 cm above canopy. Gave her some compost tea. Made out of wormcastings, fishmix from biobizz, couple drops of supervit from rqs and cane sugar molasses. Bubbled it for 36 hours.Was about 3 liter. Diluted it with 6 liter water. Ph'd it @ 5.9. Gave her one liter of it. Fed from the top. Also upped nutes in res, now full dose of Canna Aqua flores + Big Bud Powder from Advanced Nutrients. After the 20L in the res is gone i will step down nutes until harvest.

The SCROG net was installed on the last day of Week 6, I included a couple pics from that night, to compare with how the plant looked the next day, which was the first day of Week 7. My nerve damaged fingers caused me to be a little rougher with her while the net was going on than I like, but as you can see, she bounced back very quickly and was reaching for the light less than 24 hours after being mangled lol. I will continue to systematically defoliate the upper canopy every night or two for the next several weeks, and will completely strip most everything below the net. Every night or two I'll tuck any branches that need tucking, and will remove any fan leaves covering bud sites. She spread out pretty well in the net, and truth be known i probably could have gotten away with a 6 week veg after, plants are a decent size in the net with the stretch left to go. Flip happens at the end of Week 7 The manganese issue seems to be getting much better by the end of the week. Will keep my pH levels at 5.8 for the remainder of this grow, and any subsequent grows. I also devised a fan mount to save on space in the net. Instead of standing the fan, i simply cut a piece of 1x3 to length, drilled 2 holes in each end, large enough for zip ties to pass through. then I simply zip tied it to the tent poles, took the legs off the fan, and screwed the base to the board. I placed a piece of foam on top, as the screws were a shade long and I was afraid the small protruding tip would eventually puncture the tent. Works much better than expected. No movement in the mount at all.

Medium: Yep - still gonna beat on the DWC drum. It just gets better and easier every run. Almost religiously changed out the res. every week and this was definitely overkill. Could’ve easily gotten away with every 10 days to 2 weeks. Stuck with peroxide this run again instead of going with bennies via hydroguard or hygrozyme. The results speak for themselves on a 6 week veg. That’s for sure. Still save’n them dolla bills on the nutes too. Minimal nute mixing (as well as simplistic regime) and for what we’re using in each res. - gotta be easily a 50-60% savings on nute consumption vs. more traditional methods. Honestly makes one wonder why organic soil grows are seemingly all the rage. I’ve found terp. Profiles, structure, plant health and of course yields to all be just that much better in straight water. What more can I say, we love our DWC. Method 🎚️🎚️🎚️ The dueling methods were the whole point of this grow. Our best attempt to illustrate the differences between LST vs. LST/Topping ie. just how significant is the difference in terms of overall production? The truth of this test is a bit of a double edged sword. On the one hand, topping does have a significant effect on overall yield. This fact is regardless of whether or not from seed or clone.That said and when it comes to clones, you still have to be mindful of the drawbacks of further dividing (and thus reducing nug size for) main branches. Our topped clone #2 is a perfect example of this. While the structure demonstrates significantly more branching, the nug sizes are also significantly smaller. As you’ll see in the yield details it does somewhat make up for this through a higher overall weight but it was also a much less manageable plant than #1. Root mass on the topped plant was heavier and bulkier, drinking much more water than its counterpart. And in late flower half the plant was pretty much falling over. While some of this is attributable to the extremely hollow stems (and thus a carbon deficiency), making the most of the grow light proved difficult with the topped plant as bushy as it was. Basic summary - if ur cloning for profit or efficiency, stick with straight LST and grow a whole bunch of em. If I had to do it again I don’t think i would’ve bothered with topping - just for the sake of greater ease🤔🤔🤔. Then again, I’m greedy as fuck when it comes to my yields so I Could totally see myself trying to max everything out and go for broke🤙🤙. 3/5 volume bars for the rating - we accomplished what we were trying to. Yield/Harvest🌴🌴🌴🌴 Awwwwwe yeah - down to where it counts and these girls were champs💪. While internodal spacing was longer than necessary and overall bud size was smaller than average; these plants pushed out some solid weight👍😎👍. Ran er through a 7 day dry and all jarred up on a slow cure. Final numbers: Total yield - clone #1: 5.14oz = 143.92g Total yield - clone #2: 6.01oz = 168.28g Approx. est. yield: 600g/m2 divides by 4.8, multiplied by 2 (approx. for 2/3 the cabinets sq/ft) = 250g per 0.41m2 Actual yield: 11.15oz. per 0.41m2 = 312.2g per 0.41m2. That is some seriously good production right there😎👍😎. The high end avg. for this strain is 650g/m2. When you crush that out to my space and the numbers above, it works to about 270g per 0.41m2. Our actual yield still destroys the high end avg. by almost a zip and a half👍👍👍. The cree cob does it again. Fuck’n jazz hands y’all🙌! With results like these you could really give the whole grow a 9/10. It’s only an 8 in my book because it’s not my preferred high. Otherwise, any time you’re north of 5+ oz. per plant, it’s a good day at the office👍👍. Props👊👊👊 No choice but to shoutout Humboldt genetics. These beans have treated me so well and I can’t say enough Good things about the strains this organization puts out👌👍👌. Other than that, thanks to everyone who dropped by for a look and a comment.
