30.12.24: So I finally became brave enough last night to use LST on my grow for the first time. Watermelon 🍉 is doing much better than the other plants were at this stage, and still better than one that's 7 weeks old already! I'm very pleased with this strain and phenotype so far. As I've implemented the LST much earlier for her, I'm very excited to see what happens in the next couple of weeks 😃 Thanks for checking out my diary 🙂🍃✌️

This week was a fun one they started to really push out their pistils. And showing me they are loving life. I backed off the nutrients because of the burning. I also changed the cal-mag to mendencino flowering cal-mag which has no nitrogen.

Final week!

Not going to lie, with everything going on in the world right now, taking pictures of the plants was not high on my priority list. I basically snapped a couple of pics and took a couple of videos today and decided that will be it. This is not the place to get political, but I truly hope that against all odds by the time of my next post peace will have returned to Ukraine. In terms of the grow, plants seem to be doing great. Over the past couple of days, the buds have started to fatten up to the point where I think my yield will at least be on par with the last run. I'm still giving her another 3-4 weeks before I think they'll be finished up, but it honestly could be anywhere from 2-6 weeks, just have to wait and see. On a side note the plants are becoming more and more different, to the point where they don't even look like the same pheno. One plant has airy, larfy buds but has made some progress over past 24 hours towards tightening up a bit. The other plant has these fat, dense, stocky nugs that look very much like an indica strain, we will see how this affects the harvest. I had to harvest the biggest plant, i forgot it went into flowering earlier so the trichomes were already dying, still found some spider mites on that plant i hope they don’t eat away my harvest.. haha. Got a nice 135g wet bud of that plant, since all the trouble i had i think it still came out great!

End of the 4th Week

Our Zamnesia Super Boof is a brand new strain, Zamnesia brought it out before anyone else in Europe and now it's the others who are chasing it. I'll show you that the Zamensia one is the best of all, of course also the American ones. Remember that we are growing a plant worked with the techniques indicated and another left to grow without pruning to preserve its speed; in the previous/next diary you will find the other plant of the same variety. In this diary we find it worked with the Main lining: we did topping on the third internode, we worked the very small brunches in growth trying to keep them low up to the third internode and then topped again. We are topping on the laterals but some have been eliminated, the plant is at a low internode distance and they are not the most suitable in my opinion for this technique but I do them anyway, it's really fun and the result is also very pleasing to the eye. A few more days and it will start flowering. Slow down the use of nitrogen during this technique, you may not need everything that is recommended by the manufacturers. So if the leaves become too dark or, worse, the tips of the leaves arch downwards and the leaf becomes "crunchy", it is time to lighten or stop the basic fertilizer. Comparison is the salt of experience, so the plant in the other diary will be treated very differently, go and see it to compare. We have started the Plagron fertilization program, we are in 100% organic configuration, the soil is recycled Promix + 1/3 fresh soil + 10% Perlite + RQS Mycorrhizae Mix (4 g in the mix, 1 g under the small fiber pot). So let me tell you, my Tropicana Cookies is doing amazing in week 2 of flowering. She's stopped the stretch and is now fully focused on fruit production. And let me tell you, even though the buds are still small, they are already packing a punch with those trichomes with i start to believe is the Fast Buds way for them all <3 <3 <3 crazy , much respect to them <3 <3 <3 . I've been using autopots for this grow and I have to say, I'm pretty smitten with them. It's such a breeze to keep her hydrated and fed without having to constantly check on her. And my Tropicana Cookies auto seems to be loving it too! I can't wait to see what kind of buds she'll produce in the next few weeks. But even if she stayed like this, I'd still be head over heels for her. There's just something about watching a plant grow and thrive that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. buds are starting to fatten up now, just wish the plants had grown a bit taller, got a wee bit nutrient burn I think but sure we will be ok, happy at my first attempt so far

Off and running with some flowers starting to show up and swell. Had some nutrient deficiencies I had to address but looks like all is dialed in now. Started using Fish Shit and some Grow Big to help with deficiencies and this seems to have helped, but I will continue to monitor and update. 🌱🤙
