i kinda like this black weed thing... everytime i look at it it makes me smile, the color of the bud doesn't look very appealing when you're used to normal green weed, but when you look closer, you see the shning trichomes, and the sweet smells overwhelmes you i will try another one in the near future

The Strawberry’s received 1.5 liters 3 times this week. A big week for defoliation and lollipop. It is evident that topping an asymmetrical plant does create 2 tops. SC1 has 2 tops but at this late week, I wont amount to much. If you have an asymmetrical plant just train and not top. The 6 Strawberry plants are huge for 7 weeks. Originally, I was planning to wait until January to transplant, however, the roots were showing out of the bottom of the pots, and every plant is over a foot tall and half are over 2 feet any larger they would be unmanageable.. I had to have my husband assist in the transplant to hold the plant as I held the fabric pot open. These are heavy feeders. All showed some nitrogen deficiency earlier on and I’ve increased feeding. I planned to use grow dots extended for photo period plants when I transplanted them to 5 gal. I asked Santa in early November, and he kept sending notice that the order had been delayed. So, I decided to use TPS1 for this grow. I flipped to 12/12 on 12/28 and will water only this week in hopes of reducing the stretch. I must admit; I took on more than I can handle. I started these in November expecting them to be much smaller at 6 weeks. But no, these gals have grown with vigor. I had these 6 huge plants and 4 autos in the 4X4 tent. They grew faster and bigger than the autoflowers am used to growing. Christmas week was hectic with 5 harvests, 6 transplants and defoliation. I had to have my husband assist in the transplant to hold the plant as I held the fabric pot open. I asked a question on a triple leaf set on one of the Cadillac’s. See Pic above. It is a gene mutation. It is not a true triploid as all the nodes are not triple. There is one other location that has one. It looks like there are bud nubs in the crease. A side note: I’m taking applications for Spring & Summer cabana boy 🧑‍🌾 positions I need when I go to the beach 😉. Last week for these girls, I'm so happy the way they turned out , started a 10 day flush in the middle of last week , amber tricomes has just started to come in so in a week come harvest it will be around 10-15 amber which is what I was aiming for. The color between all 4 of them is amazing and buds are so fat. Did some light defoliation of the lower fan leafs yesterday and the colors came out even more today. My co2 ran out but got it filled up within 2 days .

Day 63 Fiona handled the defoliation really well so I LSTd her one (last?) time. I think the intense stretching is over and from now on all that will grow are her many (!) flower sites 🌸 First pistels showing and you can already smell her. Day 66 Fed her 2l with half the recommended dose of nutes. She is so happy with life right now, she started praying 🙏😍 She is not growing in size anymore so the daily LST sessions are over. Day 67 Just when I thought Fiona couldn‘t make me any prouder, I found a calyx that seems to indicate she is going to develop the red/purple optics promised for 60% of the strain‘s plants 🤞

Moved to a bigger tent. My intention is since I have this tent for sawing aluminium, and not using it at the moment, that id see how a space would reduce my need to dehumidify (since i am using co2 - fans are on only at night). Its now at a stable 1.1 without a need to de-and humidify. going to finish off this week and then start to flower next week. I plan to have 32 total apical tips. 4x4x2 = 32. and letting those grow out to about 3 nodes b4 flipping to flower or maybe in a week. we'll see.

I have eight clones from my Korova grow. Built two DWC with four 4 inch net pots each. The totes are 5 gallon. Purchased the drill bit so if any of these take off I can move them to their own 5 gallon bucket.

Plants that are too far from an adequate light source will respond by accelerating stem growth in order to get closer to the lamp themselves. Especially when there are many other plants. A lack of lighting can easily cause overcrowding in a growing chamber, reducing the steady progression of your crop and the distance ratio between your bulbs and your plants. To address this problem, be sure to provide enough light to your plants to prevent stem growth. At the same time, you should not position your lights too close to your plants either since this would also result in an over-stretching of the stems and in some cases, the loss of your crop. In addition to the distance between the light source and the plant, the type of light you will use also affects the size of the stretching of your crop. The orange and red lights encourage stretching and result in thinner, larger stems. And conversely, blue light stimulates a growth of thicker stems and a smaller size. When a species is ready to enter the vegetative phase and undergo its most drastic stretching period, metal halide lamps can be used to deter far too long stems. THE HEAT Heat is another essential element that can determine the stretch size of your plants during vegetation. Temperatures above 27 degrees push the stems to lengthen more and more and will propel the potential of sativas to push as high as possible. Heat lamps that are positioned too close to plants create an intolerable environment that will grow large, soft plants that will potentially wobble until they fall and lose flowers in its fall. OTHER CAUSES OF STRETCHING There are multiple variables that can lead to the stretching of plants beyond what could normally be expected of the plant. Environmental stressors resulting from transplantation (when a plant passes from one pot to another) can cause the plant to return to shock. This will eventually trigger a reaction causing a stretch. Cannabis plants that are not grown in decent conditions or do not receive enough nutrients will respond in a variety of ways and this includes stretching. Crops that are not spaced far enough apart are likely to stretch to sting the light to other plants. Due to extreme proximity, the plants will fight among themselves to reach the light, forcing them to expand as much as possible throughout the crop. HOW TO CONTROL STRETCHING DURING FLOWERING Stretching during flowering, you guessed it, takes place when you move your plants from the vegetation stage to the flowering stage. This is a completely normal reaction, as your plants are preparing to bear the weight of their heads. Stretching of a plant at the beginning of flowering varies widely; some plants can double in height while others grow only a few centimetres. There are, however, two main variables that can give you at least an idea of how your plants are stretching during flowering, and how much. Here are these two variables: Variety: Genetics has the greatest impact on the size of your plant. In general, sativa varieties stretch more than indicas and tend to develop long, slender stems. Light: Some lights, such as HPS, are more likely to encourage stretching. In addition, great distances between your canopy and your lights will cause the plants to stretch as they try to get closer to the light source. Stretching during flowering usually lasts the first two weeks of the phase. To minimize stretching, keep your lights between 10 (for CFL) and 30 centimetres (for HID) of your canopy. Finally, choose indica varieties if you have a smaller growing space. HOW TO AVOID STRETCHING In many cases, you can expect your cannabis plants to stretch during the flowering phase. Keeping that in mind helps to make a plan in case your species ends up growing much more than you could have imagined. If the information is available, get information on the standard size of your species and compare it to the size of your growing space taking into account the necessary distances between the bulbs and the plants. TRAFFIC While outdoor crop operations benefit from natural air to naturally limit stretching, indoor crops must assume the maintenance of air circulation within a confined space. Basic ventilation is enough to help the cannabis stems strengthen and become thicker rather than too high. In this way, the plants continue to grow vigorously without reaching heights and at the same time, your tolerance ceiling. MANUAL INTERVENTION For growers who want to get their hands dirty, there are physical procedures that can be done to reduce stretching. Similar to the natural effect that the wind has on cannabis plants, manually bending the leaves and stems will cause tiny cracks in the plant's tissues that will cause the plant to focus on regenerating its wounds instead of its vertical growth. THE TOPPING Topping is a form of manual intervention on cannabis to influence its performance, shape or size. In essence, topping is a process in which a new node is cut, growing from the plant to reduce its size and create a "v"-shaped notch that will eventually form two heads. Topping may be an effective measure to combat stretching, but it is important not to do so when the flowering phase begins. In most cases, an abnormal stretch of cannabis plants will not completely destroy your crop. In fact, stretching can indeed help increase your performance. For growers with a growing operation large enough to contain tall plants, stretching can increase the total yield of a species with more vertical space for head formation. In both cases, stretching can easily be planned in advance and there are multiple solutions to help you with this problem which is all too common. May the force be with you 💪

Week 4 and buds are beginning to fatten up nicely, I’ve changed the position of the gelato and one of the Zkittles to improve light penetration into the canopy as the leaves have began to defoliate themselves from the plants. This being said all plants are looking green and healthy and show minimum environment stress. Hopefully this change in the canopy will allow each of the strains to grow to their full potential with the limited space that I have.

Flowering Week 26: Storm Battles & Resilience Update: 10.09.2025 | Day 187 Hey Growmies, Week 26 decided to throw some serious weather at us – rain almost every day mixed with strong winds. It was enough to blow my African lady right off her socks! Durban Poison took a full tumble under the weight of those wet, dense buds. Lesson learned: never underestimate a sativa in a storm. I reinforced the whole support setup – added more stakes and wired everything firmly to the fence in the back. Blueberry, on the other hand, stood strong like the queen she is – not even a lean. Strain Check · Durban Poison: Took that fall like an absolute champion. Didn’t skip a beat – just kept bulking up like nothing happened. The smell is now coming in strong, and the colors are getting wilder every day. Respect. · Blueberry: Her buds are swelling nicely and the colors keep intensifying. She handled the monsoon rains and wind like it was a gentle breeze. Starting to give off a faint smell – still subtle, but it’s there. we transplanted the little ones in a bigger pot and a little bit more light also , the little freak is still alive and growing alittle bit slower than the rest but i will keep it as long it grows and who knows
