WEEK #10 - FLIP IT Light: Flipped to 12/12 on friday 24.04., so exactly 10 weeks after germination, with plants ca. 25cm in diameter and 18-20cm in height. Huge step personally, looking forward to witnessing the upcoming transformation. But before: Last time fed with HESI Grow, watered generously with a little bit of drain. Defoiled very heavily mid of week again (thanks for the advice, @jen_zee - that's where this community really shines 😍) to prepare for stretch (results not for the easy mind, be warned 😉). Skywalker plant is super bushy and recovered within very few days. Slush Mint Cake also doing well, impression (because of my earlier mistake) is rather sparse, but still very potent. Think i like the Slush Mint Cake even more (although stems of leaves are VERY long), because the Skywalker one is just very dense. Outdoor temperatures are getting higher here during the day, which benefits the indoor temperatures also. Humidity is still rather high though, will need to have an eye for that. Lamp was adjusted to 35cm accoring to growth and upped to 50% intensity. Also installed a SCROG net already, unluckily MarsHydro has shipped a 80x80cm version for a 70x70cm tent. That's why it looks a bit ridicolous. Will do its deed though, i think (do you was well?). Used a few landscape staples to bend a few branches into position, where space was available.

She responded very well to the toping and now we are going strong into week 4, been a smooth ride so far. Even through the cold days 16.01.26 Smooth week so far

Hello to all , Do-si-do's are going well #1 is 21 days old , the others around 15 days old. #2 was a bit mutated (leaves) but is coming back. Upgraded to a Mars Hydro Fce 4800, a very nice light ,good build quality, great coverage . Start Lst this week, increased nutes & feeding, every 2 hours for 15 minutes. Week 5 The weather for the last few weeks has been spectacular with no change in sight. I've had to dramatically increase the amount of water, PE1's happily chugging 2 Ltrs now. I've also dialed down the nutes as the very tips started to show possible nute burn. I've purposely not used techniques such as LST. I don't see the point as these are for personal use; i'm not looking for a particularly large yield, just hopefully some good end product. So far the Pineapple's have been a dream to grow especially for a beginner. PE1 continues to explode upwards and outwards and PE2 is catching up fast. I did catch a couple of small aphid colonies on PE 1 & 2, I wiped the leafs and introduced a mantis that I found in the garden; she seems very happy in her new home. So far all seems clear 😀 The Lemonades however are proving a little trickier to read for a beginner grower like me. I've increased water and nutes and will monitor. PL1 looks happy & healthy however, hasn't quite had the growth I've been expecting but again, that's probably my experience or lack thereof; it's very early days so she could stretch in the next couple of weeks. PL2 remains very stunted though. I gave her as much love as her sisters but, it doesn't appear to be enough... kids?! Still, I'm sure it's been my lack of experience so if I get them across the line my overall mark will reflect that.

9/7 Day 7 Things are ok watching Jen closely and dropping PH slowly from 6.8 to 6.0 by the gauge (no more dye... yea) to see if its a lockout. Lowered lights to 24 inches as I am seeing a bit of stretch. She grew 24cm this week! Really starting flowering too! She's doing well. Nothing else to the report as I'm just letting her do her own thing. I notice her leaves are VERY thin and Sativa-like!! 😍 For nutrients I'm using 15g of 20-20-20 mixed with 10L of water. Also added 4ml/L of both Cannazym and Terpinator. Day 61 nothing new. Day 62 raised light again 2 more inches. Day 63 lowered light power down to 75% now she's getting 1100umols. Day 64 all is good. Day 65 nothing new she is big. Day 66 can't raise light anymore so I dimmed down to 80% light. 1100umols on main cola. Day 67 all is good refilled refill tank 1400ppm.

On day 1 I changed out my reservoir. I lowered my nutes to 650 ppm(25% reduction). I adjusted the PH down to 6.1. My left plant has some burnt tips from either PH shift or over fertilization. My hope is that the lower ppm will help to resolve the issue before it spreads. On day 2 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 6.3 to 5.9. On day 3 the reservoirs PH is 6.0. I installed my new 200 watt HLG Rspec. I adjusted PPFD readings to 700-1300 PPFD on all tops. On day 4 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 5.8 to 6.2. On day 5 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 6.4 to 6.0. I diluted my nutrients in my reservoir by removing one gallon of nutrients from the rez and and adding 2 gallons of straight tap water to the rez. This brought the nute concentration from 770 ppm to 540 ppm as the plants will be entering the ripening stage in a few days and they have too much nitrogen judging by the extremely dark green leaves and burnt leaf tips on some branches of the left side plant. The buds seem slightly smaller then my last run which may be due to an excess of nitrogen and maybe not enough light as some of my tops are taller then the others making proper PPFD challenging. All in all the girls are coming along nice and I look forward to the final weeks of flowering 😀 On day 6 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 5.9 to 6.2. I think I have halted the nute burn as I haven't seen it progressing any more on the leaves. I will continue to monitor closely during these final weeks. The trichome production is increasing with some trichs on top of colas starting to go cloudy. The pistils are turning brown with roughly 40-50% are turning brown all signs I'm getting closer to the harvest window 😆. I dimmed my light to give 600-1000 PPFD to tops. On day 7 I reduced my temps to 75 during the day and 68 at night. I adjusted the PH of the reservoir from 6.6 to 6.1. My reservoirs ppm was too high so I diluted the rez with 2 gal of tap water. This brought it down to 480ppm. The average ppfd to all 14 tops is 604 with no top receiving more than 1000 ppfd

Well it's safe to say the foop will work with legit strong good bacteria! But the focus has to be on the root health when it comes to how much food you can add and still maintain healthy roots. But the game changer for me has been switching to a air stone, 1st and for most. The recirculation pump suggested by foop when running foop in dwc ran the solution temps into the high 70's around 77°F and anything over 75°F has been where root rot sets in for me. Even switched to way smaller recirculation pump with same results. So switching to running a air stone was big! But also found that running one Vivosun 317GPH Air Pump 15W split to 4 plants was not enough air for the roots to be happy in the foop plants. So I moved to a 2nd air pump, same size per tent. So now it's only split to 2 plants on the foop plants. And that made a big difference! But found after a few weeks that I had to bleed a slight amount of air off because there soo much extra air the humidity was sky rocketing in the tent to high 80%. So there's a sweet spot where they get extra air but not soo much that the humidity is affected. But the 2nd most beneficial thing I've done is start running Orca. It has made such a huge difference. I think I need to go up with how much I'm using or find something that works even better if possible. But the sweet spot now is 8 to 9ml total of each foop veg/bloom 1,2 and sweener. When I go to 12ml with foop 1,2 the roots take a noticeable hit. So idk how I would go to the recommended 20 to 50ml per gallon as suggested on the foop grow chart. I tried going to 10ml foop 1,2 on this one but the roots didn't like it and it shows they have never turned back to a blonde or white color again Currently running around 6 to 10ml orca total per feeding. And adding 2 to 4ml when I add foop 1,2 mid week and got happy roots! Also the Seaweed extract has made a difference in the smell the plant puts off. Last few grows have been really muted with smells and this grow I actually get hit in the face when entering grow room. So has made a difference forsure!! I'm soo excited!! Currently has issues getting the humidity below 55% in the grow room. I was running 6 damprids 1 on intake(outside tent) to tent, one on inside of tent(at inlet) and 1 on exhaust(outside tent) for 2x4 tent and 2 hanging at 4x4 tent exhaust and one hanging by ac unit. That brought it down like 5% over all but now I'm running 12 damprids to try and get the room down humidity in the mid 40's. We will see. The house runs a swamp cooler and that basically makes the whole house pressurized. So even tho I sealed the grooe room door and the window with ac the best i can. it's a uphill battle! Once swamp cooler comes on the humidity in grow room climbs like 10%. Was a good learning experience. I'm not going to get near the weight I expected from these, and though the bud turned out really tasty, I don't think I'll grow it again. I'm not sure I would recommend to a newbie. It was in some awesome living soil, but some deficiencies crept up in flower, and I wasn't impressed with the roots upon post mortem exam. On second look, even the photo on msnl's site shows some spots that looks like deficiencies. Definitely some grower errors here, but all of my ongoing grows faced the same challenges and these just seemed less adaptable. Anyhow, I've been graced with some clean meds for now, and I'm a happy growin hooman. 👽 I also probably won't do any more autoflowers moving forward. Just not my style. There are some great peeps doing outstanding work with autos though. Best to them and all! :) D82 - 12.12 - cut the second auto cheese yesterday. Let her go as long as I was comfortable. Think her run in with the gnats resulted in the the deficiencies. Awfully covered in trichs, so it should make for tasty smoke after dried, trimmed and cured.. Shall update
