🌿 Week 14 Update: Khalifa Kush - Preventative Strikes & Airflow! 🛡️✂️ Let's go! Welcome to the new week for the Khalifa Kush. She is absolutely loving the balcony life, but after the recent battles indoors, I had to make some tactical moves this week to keep her safe and thriving. 📈 The Details / Progress Report: Preventative Warfare: After dealing with that brutal thrips infestation inside the tent, I am taking absolutely zero chances out here! I had to bring out the neem oil and give her a thorough foliar spray just in case. I definitely don't want what happened to the indoor girls to happen to this massive bush. You can actually see the fresh oil and water droplets resting on the lush green foliage in the close-up shots! 💦🌿 Opening Her Up: To go hand-in-hand with the pest prevention, I got in there and did some much-needed defoliation. She was getting incredibly dense, so taking off some of those larger, light-blocking fan leaves really helped open her up a bit. It drastically improves the airflow through the center of the plant and makes sure the neem spray can actually penetrate the whole canopy. ✂️🌬️ Vibrant Health: She took the pruning and the spray perfectly. As you can see from the overhead shots, the leaves are rocking that deep, rich, leathery green, and the structure is looking incredibly strong. She is looking super lush and happy! 💧 Next Steps: With her canopy opened up and a protective layer of neem oil applied, we are in a fantastic spot. The main goal now is to just keep her well-fed, monitor the leaves to ensure no pests try to bypass our defenses, and let her keep building that massive frame in the sun. Let's keep it growing! 🌱💨

Week 9 of flowering! Franky is faaaading....faaading....faaading.(Shoutouts to Toro y Moi) Uhm....I think we at the end now. I've only been giving water and picking yellow dead leafs. Most strains look really really ripe, and I don't like overripe stuff. So even if a few might look like they could go longer, Imma end this with the next upload in a few days. I’m going to leave the seedlings in the small brown pots until their 1st node and then I’ll transfer them into bigger plastic 3.5gal pots with 80/20 soil to perlite potting mix. One Dosidos is looking a bit behind and the one with the weird leaves ended up catching up to the Northern Lights, maybe even growing faster than it. All Dosidos’ ended up dying but one and I’m sure it’s on the way out. Northern Lights has had no issues and growing perfect.

Ladies are very stink and very swell I don't think I will hit my dry weight of 2 pounds but I might be very close I will be harvesting next weekend

The plants are looking really healthy. I’m still getting used to my new lights. I think I didn’t push enough light in week 2 of flower I’m ramping up the light intensity now. I had to whip out my par meter I was keeping the light to far off the plants. This light has to be closer to the plants than my mini sun. I’m lurking this light a lot I just need to get used to it

Welcome to week 7 / week 4 of flowering! Starting the week with a decent amount of fade. Some pistils have turned orange, but most are still going strong. 💪 Some amber trichomes on the sugar leaves, but still almost all cloudy trichomes on her buds. ✅Day 43: No water. Smelling as strong as ever. Buds are slowly fattening up. ✅Day 44: 128oz of water. No runoff. ✅Day 45: No water. ✅Day 46: 80oz of water. No runoff. ✅Day 47: No water. ✅Day 48: 100oz of water. No runoff. ✅Day 49: No water. Another week closer to harvest. Her buds fattened up nicely this week. Hopefully that continues!

I did not top this girl, yet. Her top lowers started catching up to the top so I didn’t want to stop her yet lol. But all in all she’s looking healthy.

So... welcome back! Last week was rather uneventfull. Just the way I like it. They are all getting more substance though. The middle one is more leafy, the two outer ones are more developed and although the biggest buds are maybe only the size of a lighter. Most buds have filled out with calixes and only little leaves. They are dense and compact. The smell is getting heavier. When close to the buds it reminds of expensive herbal perfumes like Rabane. I distinctly have a 'hug from your poppa' kind of association with it and memories start flowing.... It is citrussy but in the ethereal way, it is spicy in the 'spicetrader' way, a mixture of ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, with a huge funky basetone. This combined, its as if a master perfumer had composed an exquisite fragrance. The funk of an attick full of weed to serve as the musky base undertones upon which, a layer of earthy spices, upon which a floral and citrussy fresh layer. It is bloody amazing and I wished ya'll were with me to smell it and taste it when the time has come. I want to exersize patience but my god this smells better than any weed I recently acquired and we have some excellent dispensaries here. So I've started giving them up to 4 ltrs ( a gallon) of water each, every two days or so. They seem to need it, no drooping but also bonedry earth till deep in the pot. SInce two days ago with less feed and today only the Biobizz Topmax and PH correction. Although not really convinced of flushing, Im trying it to see if I get a more pure taste and experience. So trichomewise I find it hard to see, my magnifier is not strong enough to see the individual trichomes. I do see area's on leafedges etc that seem more amber, trichomes look milky from this distance but have get a better magnifier to get better view. On the images I see that there are many clear ones and not many ambers so we have some weeks to go which is correct according to Advanced Seeds, this Gelato #33 Fast has to flower 45 to 55 days, We are on day 39... The plant itself seems utterly healthy. Some white points and very little heatstress from checking absolute minimum for these lights. You don't know until you find out. For anyone else looking for reviews on Rubol V3 100 watt QB's in a three in a row setup, with 10 cm spacing between each board, the minimal distance is 28 cm or one foot, when flowering, gradually lowering to this point btw. These lights are excellent, good value for money and with the two years of waranty a good investment. Also great service from Justin at www.rubol.nl. They are helpfull, considerate and very knowledgable. So far so good, the grand finale is coming in just one or two weeks and I want to thank you for taking time and read all this, everybody who had advice and answered my growquestions, wish you were here for the harvestparty and may your harvest be bountifull!! Drying conditions are about 17°C and 52% rh. drying for about 8 days. after that directly into jars for curing with humidity packs.

This week I didn’t make any structural changes to the plant. Unfortunately, I noticed the presence of some thrips. As soon as I detected them, I treated the plant with SPRUZIT to stop the infestation early. Now I need to stay very alert and act quickly to fully eliminate the pests before the flowers start developing. Early control is key at this stage 🌿⚠️

Somehow I miscalculated the days and started week 6 prematurely. I will just continue here thru to week 7 Day 32 From Seed NYD#2 Started LST. Pot was light, watered at 6.3 including Fish Sh!t. NYD#3 The pony tail backfired. The main is mangled. Despite small nodes, I started LST and watered at 6.3 including Fish Sh!t. Day 33 From Seed Did some research and found out the ponytail should only be used during the light cycle and removed for the dark period. I left it on, which caused the ugly. Lesson learned! Day34 Adjusted and added LST. Watered #2 at 6.5. #3 was still heavy, no water needed. Day 37 Watered, adjusted LST Day 39 From Seed Watered, adjusted LST. Found a bug that isn't a fungus gnats (NYD#3). Inspected both plants for more. Did a neem oil top drench and added Vicks Vapor Rub to the pot rims (bug deterrent). So raised light roughly 4 inches. Day 41 Light watering, adjusted LST ties, top drenched with Neem Oil. Added a few ounces of peroxide to the humidifier. They'll both need a top dress soon.
