👑 Godfather OG – Pheno B Week 5 | A Gentle Giant Finds Her Rhythm Welcome back to another update from the 8×8 Adventure! One of my favourite aspects of this project is documenting every phenotype individually. Although every plant is receiving the same care, the same environment, and the same attention, each one responds in her own unique way. Godfather OG Pheno B is a perfect example of that. Standing proudly among the tallest plants in the room, she’s developing into a vigorous, elegant lady with excellent structure, healthy growth, and an increasingly impressive canopy. She may share the same name as her sister… But she’s writing a completely different story. ⸻ 🌱 The Journey So Far If you’re joining this diary for the first time, welcome! This entire project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed technique. Instead of allowing a long vegetative period before switching to flower, every plant has remained under a constant cycle of 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness from the very beginning. This allows every phenotype to express its own natural rhythm. No forcing. No extended veg. Just letting genetics decide when they’re ready to bloom. That has become one of the most educational parts of this entire grow. Watching siblings respond differently under identical conditions never gets old. ⸻ 🌸 Flowering Has Officially Begun For me, this marks Week One of Flower. She’s now fully entering that exciting transition where vegetative growth slowly gives way to reproductive growth. Fresh white pistils are appearing across the tops and developing branches. Those tiny white hairs are the first signs of the flowers to come. During the next several weeks they’ll multiply rapidly as each growth tip transforms into a future cola. Every morning brings another little surprise. It’s one of those stages where you can almost watch the plant changing before your eyes. ⸻ 🌿 A Beautiful Structure Already reaching approximately 70 cm, Godfather OG Pheno B is another one of the largest ladies inside the grow room. She has developed a wonderfully open structure with strong vertical growth and healthy lateral branching. Throughout vegetative growth I’ve relied mainly on gentle Low Stress Training, carefully bending leaves and branches to improve light penetration while allowing the plant to maintain her natural architecture. Rather than forcing the plant into shape… I’ve simply guided her. Now those early adjustments are beginning to pay off as multiple flowering sites receive excellent light exposure. Every branch is beginning to compete for the spotlight. ⸻ 💧 Hand Watering — Precision Through Observation Unlike her sister, this phenotype is being hand-watered, allowing me to monitor her individually at every irrigation. Hand watering offers a different type of control. Each watering becomes an opportunity to inspect the plant closely, evaluate her response, monitor runoff, and make small adjustments whenever needed. It’s a slower approach than automated irrigation, but it creates a very personal connection with each plant. As flowering begins, the feeding program has also transitioned to support this new phase of growth. Bloom nutrients are gradually taking the lead while maintaining enough nitrogen to fuel the final stretch before the plant fully commits her energy to flower production. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Continues to Deliver The grow room continues providing an exceptionally stable environment. Current conditions include: • Day temperature: 31.1°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 72% • Nutrient solution: 24.2°C • Root zone: 21°C • CO₂ concentration: 639 ppm Everything remains remarkably consistent, allowing the plants to focus entirely on healthy growth. As flowering progresses and the buds begin to develop greater density, humidity will gradually be reduced to create the ideal environment for the weeks ahead. Consistency remains one of the most important nutrients we can provide. ⸻ 📷 This Week’s Gallery This week’s photographs capture her from every angle. Studio portraits showcase her elegant structure and increasing height. Close-up images reveal the first pistils emerging across multiple flowering sites. Bird’s-eye views highlight how evenly the canopy is developing after weeks of gentle training. I’ve also included updates from inside the room together with environmental controller readings so everyone following this project can continue seeing not only the plants themselves, but also the conditions helping them thrive. Documenting the entire journey has become almost as rewarding as growing the plants themselves. ⸻ 🔮 Looking Ahead The coming week should bring another noticeable burst of development. I expect the flowering sites to expand quickly as more pistils appear and the early bud clusters begin taking shape. Stretch may continue for a little longer before gradually slowing down, allowing the plant to redirect more energy into flower production. Training will remain minimal from this point onward, with only gentle adjustments where needed to maintain airflow and light penetration. She’s healthy. She’s vigorous. 🌱 8×8 Adventure – Chem Brûlée (Plant A) | Week 4 Building Strength Before the Fireworks Begin Welcome back to another chapter of my 8×8 Adventure, a project where twelve unique cultivars are sharing the exact same environment while every phenotype is documented individually throughout its entire life cycle. Growing every plant under identical conditions allows each genetic to tell its own story, revealing the subtle differences in growth habits, structure, vigor, and personality that make phenotype hunting such an exciting experience. This week we’re shining the spotlight on Chem Brûlée – Plant A, a lady that has quietly been building an impressive foundation while showing signs that she’s ready to become one of the standout plants in the room. Every update she becomes a little bigger, a little stronger… and a little more interesting. ⸻ 🌿 Life Inside the 8×8 Jungle The environment continues to provide ideal conditions for healthy development across the entire garden. This week the room has been running at approximately: • 🌡️ Temperature: 33.3°C • 💧 Relative Humidity: 63% • ⚡ Nutrient Solution EC: 1.36 mS/cm • pH: 6.12 • 💦 Reservoir Temperature: 25.7°C Despite the warmer temperatures, vigorous airflow keeps fresh air moving throughout the canopy while maintaining healthy transpiration. Every cultivar continues receiving exactly the same care, making the differences between genetics even more fascinating to observe. ⸻ 💧 Feeding Program Chem Brûlée continues receiving the same balanced feeding schedule as the rest of the garden. Nutrition this week: • Plagron Terra Grow • Plagron Power Roots • Plagron Pure Zym • Plagron Vita Race (foliar application) The response has been excellent. Healthy color, sturdy stems, and vigorous new growth suggest she’s making great use of everything available to her. ⸻ 🌱 Growth & Development This lady has really started to find her rhythm. Over the past week she has put on noticeable vertical growth while maintaining a beautifully symmetrical structure. Every new node appears clean, evenly spaced, and packed with healthy growth. One characteristic immediately catches my attention… Those fan leaves. They’re becoming absolutely enormous. Each new set seems broader than the last, creating an impressive solar panel capable of capturing every bit of available light. The leaf color remains beautifully uniform, with rich green tones extending from the oldest foliage right into the newest growth. Structurally she’s also beginning to separate herself from some of the other cultivars in the room. Where others are stretching aggressively or branching heavily, Chem Brûlée seems determined to build a thick, balanced framework first. She feels composed. Confident. Like she’s quietly preparing for something special later in flower. Although she’s beginning to show increasing activity around the upper nodes, I’m still considering her firmly in vegetative growth as she continues investing her energy into building size and strength. ⸻ ✂️ Training & Canopy Management This week has been all about allowing the plant to develop naturally while making only small adjustments where necessary. A little leaf tucking has helped expose developing side branches, allowing more light to penetrate deeper into the canopy without removing valuable foliage. At this stage those massive fan leaves are working in her favor, fueling rapid growth while protecting the young shoots beneath. Sometimes the best training is simply knowing when to leave a healthy plant alone. Right now she’s rewarding that patience. ⸻ 🚀 Looking Ahead I’m genuinely excited to see where this phenotype decides to go. Every week she’s revealing a little more character, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that she won’t simply blend into the rest of the room. With her broad leaves, strong central stem, and balanced branching, I wouldn’t be surprised if she develops into one of the dominant plants inside the tent once flowering is fully underway. For now, the plan remains simple: Continue providing a stable environment. Allow her natural vigor to lead the way. Keep encouraging healthy structure without rushing her development. Sometimes the strongest performers are the ones that spend a little more time building the foundation. ⸻ 💚 Final Thoughts One of the greatest joys of this project is watching every cultivar write its own story. Chem Brûlée isn’t trying to imitate anyone else in the room. She’s growing at her own pace, building her own architecture, and showing characteristics that already make her stand apart from the crowd. Those beautiful oversized fan leaves… The vigorous vertical growth… The healthy, vibrant canopy… Everything points toward a plant with enormous potential. I’m incredibly curious to see how this unique phenotype expresses herself once flowering begins. A bit frustrated that I don’t see flowers yet :( I defoliated quite a bunch of leaves that were taking all the space (see pictures). I hope flowers will appear soon after it!

The 2 Orange sherbet clones are powering on! #1 is going to really fill out the space In the flowering tent 🤩 she is going to go nuts in flowering stretch! #2 going great as well. Unfortunately I should have have replanted the clones earlier last week when photos were taken as they were very healthy. But after checking on them 1 night, came in next night to find I hadn't turned the pump back on! & Yeah the heat had gotten to them a bit, have been replanted into final homes, put into veg tent, the 2&3 stem clones have suffered & dying off. Obviously couldn't support all the growth of 2& 3 stems being a bit unhealthy. The single stem clones are all coming back to health. Had planned to grow 3 Afghan kush, which didn't germinate ( seeds mafia) , & thankfully I've got these 2 girls to put into flower in the next few weeks once the flowering run is done. Was supposed to have 4 plants ready to go in & replace the ones that get harvested , going to start some new FF strains.👍

Every day it is a pleasure when I open the tent. The scent flows through the whole tent and the buds swell more and more. This week I added PK 13/14 and increased the Ec value to 1.6. The whole thing now stays for 7 days before I use completely fresh water with an Ec of 1.2 - 1.4. Otherwise everything was cleaned and checked like every day. So this week after I gave it under nutrients I apparently gave it too much nitrogen while having a potassium deficiency. Shiney dark leaves, So i fixed that, but some didn't bounce back, and I tried nitrogen. I think they are doing pretty good considering everything I've put them through SO FAR. lol. Nutrients are NPK Raw's total lineup, follow their instructions at first, Fastbuds adjustments as of this week.

Nice strain to grow overall especially for the terps it produced, yield was more on the low side as expected from one for these "hype" strains or whatever you want to call them.

Super frosty in here, wow. Sour Diesel is all I smell but it's much sweeter. Started winding down on N today. We'll see how they do!

These Ethos Seeds are showing an amazing burst of energy. Really impressed, it's intriguing me.

3/19 230pm I just got the three new ones and I’m really excited to start them. I’ll be using Cannakan for germination 3pm That was easy all done. 3/20 12am almost ready. 2am poured out the water put in new distilled water below the notch and we are good to go. Set at 88 for 78 target. 130 pm I got the dirt work finished. It’s the part that I hate the most. I try to keep it as clean as I can. They are ready to go. I’ll be putting them in the dirt in a little bit.👍👍👍 3/21 1am..... going to see if they woke up.. I put the dirt in without much mess. The dirt is clean and easy to work with. I poured CAREFULLY in lines in both directions of a red party cup of Rapid Start and pH 6.5 each💦. nothing yet, but gnats... 3/22 Surgery was a success times 3!!!! All delivered happy and healthy!!!!! 3/23 12 am looking great!!!

In der fünften Woche habe ich es gewagt. Nachdem ich die Weiße Witwe schon etwas trainiert habe, wurde sie jetzt auch oberhalb des fünften Sprossknotens abgeschnitten. Dazu habe ich meine Nagelschere benutzt (siehe Video), mit der ich mir auch die Fußnägel schneide. 😅 Dann wurde die unterste Nodi noch entfernt. Jetzt hat sie noch vier Nodien übrig, die zu acht Blütenstände wachsen sollen. Es war das erste Mal, dass ich eine Pflanze getoppt habe. Um sie besser runter binden zu können, habe ich einen Haselnusszweig quer über den Topf befestigt. Das macht das Festbinden um einiges leichter. Die Cherry-Lady lasse ich ohne Training etc. wachsen. Sie ist aktuell ca. 40 Zentimeter hoch. Hier werde ich in den nächsten Tagen nur etwas entlauben. Die untersten Blätter können abgemacht werden. Sie sehen nicht sehr gut aus. Die Kirschen-Lady kann auch einen größeren Topf vertragen. Sie wird bald umgetopft. Der PH-Wert der Supermarkt-Blumenerde ist mit etwa 8 zu hoch. Der Idealwert liegt zwischen 6 und 7. Ich werde dafür Rhododendron- und Hortensienerde besorgen. Damit wird ein eigener Mix hergestellt. Solange bleibt sie aber noch in ihrem kleinen Topf, dem ich einen Mantel verpasst habe. Der Jutebeutel soll die Pflanze vor den Trauermücken schützen. Das abgeschnittene Teil der White Widow wird versuchsweise in einen kleinen Anzuchtbehälter gesteckt und ordentlich nass gehalten. Ich bin gespannt, ob es mir gelingt, die Pflanze zu klonen. peace & love

She is definitely looking nice and purple.I did slam her with light as I had the intensity set at 80 percent power so little bit of light burn but she’s fine.Ill start some blooming nutrients this week and get those buds stacking up :)
