Week 18

πWeather changed a lot during this 2 week, alternating sun and rain with medium temperature: low in the morning 8Β°C and 22/24Β°C the afternoon. Cold wind: Autumn is coming soon! π
This is the middle of the flowering cycle for 2 plants and the beginning for the others; and itβs harder than I imagined. Interminable war against pests: caterpillars and leafminer flies (+ guest :aphids). However the environment is clean, there is some sticky traps, ventilation and preventives treatments (Neem Oil, Garlic/Laurel) but infestation are a recurring problem π©.
Majors reasons of the proliferation are the hot temperatures in greenhouse, the quasi inexistants natural predators, humidity, plants proximity.
September is the reproduction period of the cabbage looper: a butterfly which lays eggs on plants giving some hungry caterpillars.
Some others pests are attracted by the nitrogen added in soil (batguano)
I did a serious defoliation, continue to check the plants morning and night to catch intruders, sprayed regularly with Neem oil.
For the moment the flowering continues.
-Brake Pad Breath: plant has definitely changed of physiognomy, branches are covered by a lots of resinous flowers with a pretty good smell. Indica dominance. Around 3 or 4 weeks till the harvest. It will be long: the plant is a victim of pests and caterpillars and lots of leaves are damaged.
-Flash Back#2: elegant plant, pretty good flowering since 3 weeks. Globally healthy despite of the pests aggression. Sativa dominance with long internodes distance and a vigorous stretch.
-GMO x Zombie Kush: same difficulties against predators, late flowering, just initiated the flowering process but in a good way.
-Royal Moby: the tallest one; around 170cm, not really adapted to dimensions of the growing space and not discrete. Plants was really shocked during the first wave of pests and after the sunburn. Late flowering, Sativa.

Hi, the plants are all fine in the photos, they're a little down because the photos are taken after four hours of lights off. The plants all showed the sex, a male tangie emerged and isolated it in order to limit the shedding of pollen, it seems like a lot of bullshit but I can assure you that the method already used works, the plants have almost all been defoliated in such a way heavy yesterday and today were already better. He was given only water once in the middle of the week and today instead 3 liters of nutrient solution 12ml of plagron alga blomm and 3 of power bud and 3 of sugar royal

Flowering day 15

This week the ladies developed beautifully π.
The stretch has started very strongly :-) .
Watering was done twice this week with 1.2 l (see table above for nutrients).
The heating mat does exactly what it is supposed to do, you can see that the ladies are doing perfectly again π.
Fresh osmosis water was mixed with tap water in a 100 liter tank so that I would have enough stale water for the coming week π.
Otherwise everything was cleaned and checked.
During the check, I noticed that after spraying neem oil 3 times, there were still a few damn trips to see.
I have ordered nematodes for leaf and substrate against tripse.
Then they should finally be gone again ππ»

The second week of flowering. Buds started to form. Again I am not at home and I can not control the growth .. the bushes are already very close to the lamp, and this is just the beginning.

Day 28:
- Did some LST, not that spectacular since the branches are small and not growing fast enough.
- Did some defoliation to make sure that my nodes get the light they need instead of getting shadowed from fan leafs.
- It was time to add some Suger Royal into my feedings.
They will probily preflower anytime soon and make their final stretch. Lets hope those branches will increase alot in size, but
I don't expect them to be large since there is barely sun nor heat.
Lets hope for the best, stick arround to find out!

The harvest wasn't the biggest. But high quality. I will increase the light density by adding CFL to the grow room. And test the nest grow how much I can push the yeild.

Day 63
What a turn around! Got my watering issues manageable.
Last watering for Candace I added Mykos and Azos to my water. Switched from SimPro to Terp Tea. #GIRTH # FROST #AROMA
Sheryl got that same recipe tonight. Candace didn't need water, but I splashed about 8oz in her dish for the bottom roots.
Take Away? It's a weed so it's resilient. Have patience, don't panic, let the plants tell you what they need.
Came back from out of town and the girls were looking famished. I put 1Tbl of Terp Tea Bloom in a gallon of rain water with Mykos, Azos, and Fish Sh!t. Fed both plants half gallon each.

Love the way she grow
super easy too look after and produce good yield
She drank every other day 3 litre nuts without run off
Day 47 I relize she have deficiency so I decide to flush her with 10 l ph water coz bud won't rippen now she is in week 4 flowering and looks how small the bud are I'm so sad π’ hope she will be OK next week

Weβre in the second week of flowering, and the plants are really starting to stretch! πΏ
Theyβve gained good height, especially the one without LST, which has grown tall very quickly.
Itβs been exciting to watch them reach upward as they prepare for the bud development phase.
Everything is looking good overall, and Iβm happy with the progress so far. Iβm really looking forward to seeing how the buds will start forming in the next few weeks! πβ¨

Still not a drop of rain for the last 3 weeks, 26C daily, full sun, really exploding in growth these days. Gave her another soak of some local Kelp / Fish mix, also been spraying with Aloe / Neem / Kelp mix twice weekly. Responding well to very little nutes / water.
Catepillers seem to have peaced out, this warm weather caused their population to explode, lettuce and other veg was also hurt, not normal.
FIM recovery was very quick, I'll be fimming 3 top nodes this weekend, need to keep this height under control at this rate of growth.

This girl was a high effort high reward type of girl for sure. She was struggling with nutrients which is why towards the end all of the leaves were just yellow and crispy. I didn't manage to find the right balance of nutrients for her BUT the yield and end product definitely did not suffer. This strain's smell alone is 100% worth growing!

Damn this thing smells like skunky gas I cannot wait to try this gg4 out man!! She's stacking very nicely and the buds are fattening up daily it seems! Top fed her with some roots organic last week and I hit her a small amount of lotus boost (1/4tsp) so hoping she really takes off the next couple weeks π βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβ½οΈπ°π€π₯π

She's got really tall so far. She got some wind burn probably because the cold weather and the fan hitting the top fan leaves directly for a while since I lifted the lights a bit. She is growing several buds now and the nuts are doing a great work so far.

Flower day 21
Today I returned from vacation after 7 days. My first look was in the water tank, and it was indeed empty. Hopefully, I looked into the tent, and luckily, the ladies all looked healthy. The 40 liters had probably only recently been emptied.
The ladies have grown more than I expected. Some even grew a few centimeters up to the lamp, and so I was forced to supercrop the longest shoots.
I also lolipopt the plants properly.
