******** Week 10 - Feb 10 to 16/20 (Days 64 - 70 from seed popping out) It’s flush week so not much to update really. This week you anticipate the outcome with great hopes and also think about missed opportunities......no different here 😂 😂 😂 Last feed given last week. First good flush this week. I did not use any flushing agent with this girl. Want to get her natural taste and see what she can do on her own. The medium is pretty good with going into the week with a run of 900ppm. She is more dark on the bottom than I would prefer but it will be what it will be. Found an issue my pH pen this week and it will have contributed to some of the stresses this girl went through in recent two weeks. She picked back up this week and is taking roughly 2 days to work through 4L of water. Her run off by the end of the week was in mid 300ppm so we should be good with her feeding from her leaves. The top leaves are fading and giving a yellow with a slight purple on the edges. Combined with he red hairs and different shades in the bud and she is getting pretty🤩🤩 She is fading and looking more beautiful everyday! Will be pushing this girl and don’t anticipate chopping her down before next weekend.....want least day 75 to 77 idea.......see what the week brings. She has beautiful buds but they need more squishing and I want to ensure she can feed on herself as much as possible. I personally prefer the smoke from a plant flushed for two weeks, so that is the goal......only concern is what will happen to tricombs over the next four days or so???? She squished out bud very well over the weekend and has swelled quite a bit. She is getting fat and happy.......putting on the weight and frost this week girl!! Dropped the night temps to 60 degrees and the humidity to roughly 40% at night. Stripped more of her leaves this week. Some are still left where I don’t want to remove the leaves for fear of bruising the bud trying to get it off. 😧 She is such a dense bushy little girl!!! When you shake her and you feel how much she moves the pot you instantly smile👍😆👍 Again, trimming more lower growth on the main stems would have given her little extra to fill in the tops of colas even more.......next time👍 Crazy good genetics is what keeps going through my mind this grow.....impressed......I have to get more FastBuds in my seed collection!!! Little more detail......to come Feb 10/20 - Day 64 - her first flush after feed two days ago. - 6L water with Rezin & Liquid Weight @ 2ml/l = 100ppm and 5.8pH - runoff: 895ppm and 6.1pH. - Good looking numbers for two weeks flush. - no flushing agent used and she is not crazy for ppm in medium and she is not showing signs of toxicity. Feb 11/20 - Day 65 - Nothing today. Feb 12/20 - Day 66 - 2L water with Rezin @ 2ml/l and LW8 @ 1.5ml/L = 75ppm and 5.95pH - her tops appear to be mainly bud now. Not many sugar leaves pointing out anymore. Feb 13/20 - Day 67 - 2L water with Rezin & LW8 @ 2ml/l = 80ppm and 6.15pH - been cool in tent last couple of days......slowed down a bit. Feb 14/20 - Day 68 - Nothing today. Feb 15/20 - Day 69 - 3L water with Rezin & LW8 @ 2ml/l = 100ppm and 6.1pH - Her claw is coming out more. Could she be root bound? - Light is at 18', pH is inline, same when medium is dry and wet, nitrogen hasn't been too excessive?? Feb 16/20 - Day 70 - 3L water with Rezin & LW8 @ 2ml/l = 100ppm and 6.0pH - Pulled a few more lower leaves......she is thick!......she is also getting sticky moving around her buds😀😀 - closer to the end so will keep dropping temps and humidity in tent. - Have a great week all and may your gardens be full of colour and shine!!🙏

Medium: Yep - still gonna beat on the DWC drum. It just gets better and easier every run. Almost religiously changed out the res. every week and this was definitely overkill. Could’ve easily gotten away with every 10 days to 2 weeks. Stuck with peroxide this run again instead of going with bennies via hydroguard or hygrozyme. The results speak for themselves on a 6 week veg. That’s for sure. Still save’n them dolla bills on the nutes too. Minimal nute mixing (as well as simplistic regime) and for what we’re using in each res. - gotta be easily a 50-60% savings on nute consumption vs. more traditional methods. Honestly makes one wonder why organic soil grows are seemingly all the rage. I’ve found terp. Profiles, structure, plant health and of course yields to all be just that much better in straight water. What more can I say, we love our DWC. Method 🎚️🎚️🎚️ The dueling methods were the whole point of this grow. Our best attempt to illustrate the differences between LST vs. LST/Topping ie. just how significant is the difference in terms of overall production? The truth of this test is a bit of a double edged sword. On the one hand, topping does have a significant effect on overall yield. This fact is regardless of whether or not from seed or clone.That said and when it comes to clones, you still have to be mindful of the drawbacks of further dividing (and thus reducing nug size for) main branches. Our topped clone #2 is a perfect example of this. While the structure demonstrates significantly more branching, the nug sizes are also significantly smaller. As you’ll see in the yield details it does somewhat make up for this through a higher overall weight but it was also a much less manageable plant than #1. Root mass on the topped plant was heavier and bulkier, drinking much more water than its counterpart. And in late flower half the plant was pretty much falling over. While some of this is attributable to the extremely hollow stems (and thus a carbon deficiency), making the most of the grow light proved difficult with the topped plant as bushy as it was. Basic summary - if ur cloning for profit or efficiency, stick with straight LST and grow a whole bunch of em. If I had to do it again I don’t think i would’ve bothered with topping - just for the sake of greater ease🤔🤔🤔. Then again, I’m greedy as fuck when it comes to my yields so I Could totally see myself trying to max everything out and go for broke🤙🤙. 3/5 volume bars for the rating - we accomplished what we were trying to. Yield/Harvest🌴🌴🌴🌴 Awwwwwe yeah - down to where it counts and these girls were champs💪. While internodal spacing was longer than necessary and overall bud size was smaller than average; these plants pushed out some solid weight👍😎👍. Ran er through a 7 day dry and all jarred up on a slow cure. Final numbers: Total yield - clone #1: 5.14oz = 143.92g Total yield - clone #2: 6.01oz = 168.28g Approx. est. yield: 600g/m2 divides by 4.8, multiplied by 2 (approx. for 2/3 the cabinets sq/ft) = 250g per 0.41m2 Actual yield: 11.15oz. per 0.41m2 = 312.2g per 0.41m2. That is some seriously good production right there😎👍😎. The high end avg. for this strain is 650g/m2. When you crush that out to my space and the numbers above, it works to about 270g per 0.41m2. Our actual yield still destroys the high end avg. by almost a zip and a half👍👍👍. The cree cob does it again. Fuck’n jazz hands y’all🙌! With results like these you could really give the whole grow a 9/10. It’s only an 8 in my book because it’s not my preferred high. Otherwise, any time you’re north of 5+ oz. per plant, it’s a good day at the office👍👍. Props👊👊👊 No choice but to shoutout Humboldt genetics. These beans have treated me so well and I can’t say enough Good things about the strains this organization puts out👌👍👌. Other than that, thanks to everyone who dropped by for a look and a comment. Plant is doin ok I noticed she's a little bit smaller than other phenotypes, but soon she will grow like a monster as she prepares for flowering stage, so I decided to start LST. As you can imagin guys, is my first LST and you may guess what happened 😢 Yes I broke a branch (with little sprouds) , Will I have serious consequences at harvesting? ****I confess i smoked the broken branch and the leaves (haven't smoke in months!) Man, now I can see this will be some trippy sh^t****

Week 1 Day 1 - 8/12/2023 1st Water change Day! Such a special time it is when you remove the little bit of Nutes that you gave them as an appetizer and you give them their first real meal. Week 1 Day 3- 8/14/2023 Everything is right on track, they are looking beautiful and in the praying postition all leaves happily lifting towards the light. Week 1 Day 4- 8/15/2023 Looking beautiful today and looked like she could use her first haircut.. gave her a TOP off. Roots are laying in the water everything is looking right on track.. Week 1 Day 5- 8/16/2023 walked in and the humidity was under 60.... ohh noooooo.. So I added 2 humidifiers to the tent and attached them to my InkBird controller which is set to 62. She had roots nicely in the water.. this grow is on!!! Week 1 Day 6- 8/17/2023 Humidity was a little low this morning, so I refilled the humidifiers. Other than that, the temp looks great, the PH looks great, the PPM looks good the plant is in the praying position and all damage from the little drowning seems to have been fixed. Happy Happy. Week 1 Day 7- 8/18/2023 Yay.. week 1 in the books, roots in the water growth has started first hair cut given and both side nodes are growing. Everything is looking good and on track.. A lot better than week one of the last grow when I had them drowning week 1. Really excited on how this grow is going to come out.

Increased Buddy to 1mm p/l. Will be adding PK14 in the next 2 weeks as they're peak flower and will need the Potassium etc. These plants are at the front and to the right in the timelapses.

Day 35 Flower Hey Growers. Things are going well here, other than the delicious funk that is emanating from my house. The carbon filter is not able to keep up with these beauties and the FastBuds flowering at the same time. It’s also about 5 years old so…..time for a new one. It also doesn’t help that the 4 ft of snow around the house is melting and I have to have the grow room door open for the sump line, but whatever. These girls are just cruising along. I watered with 950 ppm and 1650 was the runoff. I’m noticing a bit of tip burn but I hear that normalish for full spectrum leds. They make the plants draw extra mag, seems like the Epsom is helping with that. I’m getting to a point where I may need to water twice a day to achieve denser quality buds, the next couple weeks will dictate that. Hand watering hydro is a terrible idea!!!!!!!!!! Too late to turn back. I am running the Vipar Spectra XS2000 at the recommended 16” at 100%. I’m also alternating from the right to left side of the tent each day like a poor man’s light mover. I’m noticing leaf edge curl (tacoing) but it’s nothing major and they pointing upwards. They seem happy. All in all I’m happy with how it’s going, just gonna keep it on cruise control and tuck or remove leaves causing problems. Happy Growing 🌱

07/04/2023 Last week on her, trichomes are looking cloudy. She got neglected a bit during veg and a bunch of stress from electricity outages, where I had to move the plant outside resulting in heat burn (it was around 38 celsius outside) thrips and ruining my scrog, thrips are kinda controlled, and lost a bit of leaves from heatburn, but no biggie. Moreover I diverted my attention to the clones and the other seed that is now a mother plant (see Perpetual KeroseneKrash diary). 14/04/2023 No more light for the next 48 hs and then I'll chopp her

Continued steady growth. Slight aroma appeared

So this week has really absolutely crawled by from my perspective, I imagine it is common with growing that the closer you get to harvest the further away it seems. Anyway I am a bit worried about the middle sized plant - she has a lot more yellowing of fan leaves from the inside out. My reaction to this was to flush her with clean water, my thinking is that everything was fine before I started feeding, and perhaps I didn't mix properly and the soluble stuff was unevenly distributed. That was yesterday (week 6 day 4) It's too soon to tell if this has helped, fingers crossed it doesn't begin to affect other leaves. Despite this being only 5 days into week 6, there have already been fairly drastic changes. Some of the buds are starting to fatten more, and I'd say we're at about 15% pistils amber now, the smell has noticeably increased day by day. It's really beautiful to look the plants in the dark with a flashlight or phone light, the way the light bounces off the frosting of trichomes, as if someone had sneaked in the middle of the night and misted my plants with a million tiny diamonds. I think I will stop feeding the middle plant now and water only (unless it gets worse). The other two I will continue to feed until the end of this week. At the rate of accelerated change I suspect harvest time may not be too long past the end of next week. It's a shame they don't have much more time to grow but at least what small quantity does come from them, I am determined it is harvested at the right time. At the end of week six I have watered only as I now think these plants are maybe 7-12 days away from harvest.

8 weeks in & Buds are growing in size, lovely purple colour and the fruity/berry smell is lovely 👌🏽
