All right so here we are and again I am shocked by how much abuse this girl has taken not only by me but by the medium it originated in which killed another plant so this girl at a young age had to be tough and that willingness to live and resilience has gotten us to where we are today.. WEEDSEEDSEXPRESS big thank you to you as this grow has been 24 years in the making.. since an amateur grower in Bridgeport Connecticut very close to where I was born handed this clone over to someone who has kept it alive for all these years and not only am I able to smoke it but I'm able to grow it how awesome is that... Back in 2000 I was 14 at the time and I had a subscription to high times that my mom got me and my room walls were covered with bud shots and posters one of them being a centerfold of strawberry cough and it has been something since that day I have yearn for.. as you guys can see she's coming along great and I couldn't be happier... I think in the future I'm not going to train so much because it just takes so much time for the plant to recoup and I'd much rather have a 3-month grow than a 5 month.. but because of what it is I will make an exception this time I don't care if it took 7 months this has been like I said a long time coming... P. Punch is probably the one is going to be harvest first and it’s frosty. Gorilla punch is a really nice looking plant. Mimosa cake is the largest but the buds are thin. Hopefully they get fat 🙏🏼💥 Happy grow folks

I struggled with this plant the whole grow cycle. She still came out alright in my opinion. She did foxtail due to heat. For a first photoperiod grow in DWC I did good in my opinion. Learned a lot more, and been applying those techniques now. She grew under a Spider Farmer SE5000 light in a New Level Hydro bucket. I used hygrozyme during grow. Plants with more direct UV showed much more purple across all 3 plants. The data shows that the number of terpenes in dried Cannabis flowers increases with a “No Red” light treatment for the final three days of production. Based upon these findings, we feel confident in recommending a spectrum control program that eliminates red light output from fixtures for the final 72 hours of the Cannabis flowering cycle. Terpenes are aromatic compounds that give cannabis some of its most distinct aromas from citrus and berry, to more earthy tones. Many species of plants produce and emit terpenes in a diurnal, or daily cycle that is regulated by a complex web of signaling. There are also many plants that emit terpenes at night to attract nocturnal pollinators (Marinho et al., 2014346). Regardless of when the terpenes are produced or emitted, these processes are often dependent upon cues derived from natural light/dark cycles via a native circadian clock (Dudareva et al., 2004). Several light-sensitive pigments are involved in these processes of production and emission, and the different photoreceptors are dependent upon different wavelengths of light to be activated or deactivated. Emission of terpenes is a process that is entirely dependent upon phytochromes and red/far-red light cues in most plant species (Flores and Doskey, 2015). For example, repeated light/dark phytochrome signaling is necessary for the emission of terpenes in tobacco plants (Roeder et al., 2007). Based on previous findings, we hypothesized that a lack of red light and phytochrome-mediated light/dark signaling on the part of the plant is responsible for an increase in terpene content in cannabis. The plant continues to synthesize terpenes, but a lack of red light to trigger the Pr-Pfr shift results in a lack of terpene emission by the plant, thus causing the terpenes to accumulate in the maturing flowers. It has been found that sound waves were at different frequencies, sound pressure levels (SPLs), exposure periods, and distances from the source of sound influence plant growth. Experiments have been conducted in the open field and under greenhouse growing conditions with different levels of audible sound frequencies and sound pressure levels. Sound waves at 1 kHz and 100 dB for 1 h within a distance of 0.20 m could significantly promote the division and cell wall fluidity of callus cells and also significantly enhance the activity of protective enzymes and endogenous hormones. Sound waves stimulation could increase the plant plasma-membrane H+-ATPase activity, the contents of soluble sugar, soluble protein, and amylase activity of callus. Moreover, sound waves could increase the content of RNA and the level of transcription. Stress-induced genes could switch on under sound stimulation. Sound waves at 0.1–1 kHz and SPL of (70±5) dB for 3 h from plant acoustic frequency technology (PAFT) generator within a distance ranged from 30 to 60 m every other day significantly increased the yield of sweet pepper, cucumber and tomato by 30.05, 37.1 and 13.2%, respectively. Furthermore, the yield of lettuce, spinach, cotton, rice, and wheat were increased by 19.6, 22.7, 11.4, 5.7, and 17.0%, respectively. Sound waves may also strengthen plant immune systems. It has been proved that spider mite, aphids, gray mold, late blight and virus disease of tomatoes in the greenhouses decreased by 6.0, 8.0, 9.0, 11.0, and 8.0%, respectively, and the sheath blight of rice was reduced by 50%. i accidently bought some unbuffered coco and mixed it with my ussual earth, had major calmag problems in mid-flower but i´m still pleased with the results...also had a little trouble with mold at the end due to bad weather and high humidity in the final weeks of the grow, had to remove a few buds and harvest early @ day 55 of flower....but there's still alot of great looking buds left for me to enjoy and all look mostly done... Just harvested and hung them upside down, currently drying them at constant 19.5-20.5°C and 50-60% RH..will update as soon as they are dry

Weekly update for these girls. They got a defoliated and lollipopped this week. Also went full on into preflower showing pistols and flower sites everywhere. Over all they're growing like champs. Happy Growing

Grape soda, tropical punch, and gasoline. These rock hard flowers were some of the prettiest to watch grow I've ever seen.

📆 Week 1, 6-12 May 2024 6 May - 3rd sprout appeared. Waiting for main root to appear before transferring. 8 May - Main root appeared on the 1st sprout, transferred to its permanent home (see pictures). 9-12 May - Observed and watched the seedling grow. 📑 Transferred seedling into permanent Deep Water Culture, 2 gallon system. I’ve always had the best response when the main tap root appears prior to this process, it helps to ensure success. This plant seems to be getting off to a slower start, but steady. All seeds germinated, sprouted and became seedlings. I’ll be finding homes for the other 2 as my grows are limited by space and number. Another reason I like to only germinate a single seed at a time and primarily why it needs be viable. “One good seed is all you need”. 🍶 8 May initial nutrient solution started 🍽️ 8 May initial feeding schedule started 💧 Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 🐉 Nutrient solution EC 1.0 at 72 degrees F 🔆 Light power at 50%, DLI 12-15 canopy coverage at 18hrs 😤 Using PYPABL, Air Pump, 400GPH That is it for this week. I shouldn't have started the lst training on her because she started flower very fast and early so she ended uo being very small, which I hate because It has a very skunk citric aroma very powerful, I had a little harvest of 10g counting the little flowers which I used to make cannabutter to make some edibles.I wish I could have a huge harvest of this amazing strain, looking forward to grow her again. 🤞💚🌱💎

Familia, estoy convencido de que esta variedad va a predominar del resto 🙈. No ahora en serio una gran variedad para cultivadores novatos, puedes plantarlas directamente a maceta y no se espigarán 3/3 comprobado. Parece muy sencilla de cultivar, controlamos ph , temperatura y humedad que estén en sus respectivos valores. Se ven bastante sanas, pronto tocará hacer algún trasplante iremos viendo próximamente

Bud wet weight : 168,1g of trimmed medium to big sized buds 25,4g of tiny tiny buds/larfs = 193.5 grams of trimmed wet buds. Details on genetics and smoke report above. This, as my first grow, is way more than I ever expected it to be. I haven´t had that much fun and enthusiasm in a very very long time. I can´t even explain the feeling it is to harvest your own cannabis, but I know most of you know what I´m talking about haha. It was really nice to practice LST, even tho it was SO HARD, ´cause I didn´t had barely any space to work since I used a hard pot and did not fill nearly half the size of it and the walls of the pot were really high. It was even difficult to water without dropping water on the lower buds. I haven´t learnt much about defoliation tho, I feel I need to study a little more about the phases you should or should not do it. Also, I discovered thrips are a pain in the ass. I had 2 tough weeks dealing with thrips, but in the end it was alright. I don´t have any humidity control device, which I intend to buy for the next grows. Growdiaries was really helpful for me, it kept me motivated everyday (not that I wouldn´t have had it anyways), the Grow Questions are REALLY useful and all the community is awesome. Thanks to all people that helped me here on GD during this first grow! To conclude it: I am really happy and satisfied with how the grow turned out. They look incredible, it almost feels like I can´t believe it still. Peace. UPDATES: 07/10 : The buds are now dry and already in curing jars, one of them with a Boveda 58% humidity pack. The total grams of the dry buds are: 41.4g (medium to big sized buds) 4.1g (tiny buds) = 45.5 grams! I´m really happy with the results, I thought it would be around 30g so yeah, that´s a really good surprise! In 2 weeks I´ll be back to update the smoke report. Thanks so much for reading! Peace. 09/10 : I managed to fit everything in the same container with some space between them, so now every bud is with the Boveda pack. 14/10: It´s been a week and the smell improved, it still smells a little like hay/plant ( even tho it´s not too dry neither too wet ). 21/10: Now it´s been two weeks and even tho the smell isn´t anymore hay, it´s a lot herbal. I really think the aroma can get better, but the taste is already good enough for me. The smoke report has been done and in case I have something to add, I´ll report here. So i decided to experiment with the smart protein in a foliar spray recently and unlike other nutrients (this is not a nutrient or an additive!!!) well saturation is not desirable, in other words for other foliar sprays you want a saturated solution more or less, but with the smart protein you want to lighter... i think the leafs are really good at absorbing it, but it's so rare they end up "stained" and end up 'burnt', if you look closely it looks similar to Mg deficiency... but it's not and it's interesting lol. Nothing else to report, not feeding anything this week, i'll try to update as regularly as i can from now on aswell. Hope you enjoy these testers as much as I do ! 🚀
