We are at the beginning of the 9th week of flowering. The trichomes are slowly beginning to change color. I'm now going on vacation for 9 days, I couldn't have planned it any shittier. But anyway, I've decided to keep them growing and then probably harvest them straight after my vacation.

I'm 90% sure this one is in her finishing week here. More amber trichromes are coming in daily. I don't wanna push her too far like last time because this strain turned pure amber and kinda lost some crystaly luster during the curing process. My light timer, grow tent, and light upgrades really made a big difference in bud development compared to my last run with Runtz basically leading to bigger more frostier buds. I'm dropping temps lower at night. I give it a couple liters a day to keep the top soil moist. Flushed water comes out 6.8 ish. My CO2 exhale bag was the biggest flop as it was expired and did not activate. I plan on 48 hours darkness before harvest starting today: the day of the eclipse. With the new moon we have a high pressure system that is peaking at night around 1028 dB. Water should be pushed up into the plant from roots. Coupled with lights out....all theoretical witch craft. I have a small 2x2 dark tent pictured which needs to have AC bring in cold fresh air from outside. If no fresh air added the tent gets humid and stagnant after a while. The darkness period is bringing out that strong and sweet 'medicinal' smell. If you ever tried weed labeled medicinal youd have an idea of what I mean. I guess thats the orange bud/chemo lineage traits. Before lights off the smell was more towards yeast fermentation smell and not soo sweet.

A week with lots of activity from my side, from the Gorilla's side, not so much. She stays behind and I can't find any other reason than genetics/seed quality. She is in exactly the same conditions as the other girls. I'm letting her do her thing. She will give some weed, well see how much. Maybe she is a late-bloomer. She does look lush and healthy so we do not understand but are learning. I put in the scrog net since her roommates need it and lowered the lights and started giving more flowering feed. The light is still awesome, the amount it puts out. Isn't it time someone said that? Cause lets keep it real, we are talking seeds that in any other case would have a cost of production of fractions of cents per seed. We pay what? 3 to 5 to maybe even 20 dollars a seed for an exceptional strain? Is it then too much too ask to put a friggin expiry date on the package? Or store them cooled? The breeder that does that and arranges a deal with third-parties that overstock can be sent back, packaging recycled, in exchange for fresh stock. Like any other fresh trade. For an industry making what, a billion worldwide, it is remarkable how many are still in the stoner with a garage / 80's trailer park, backwater funfair warranty, kinda customer service. Really hot. Using more water. About 2 gallons a day each pot. Watering daily. Summer peak hits in the next month, then comes the wind down to the season...from September to Croptober. I don't see as much stretching as I see buds coming in right now, which is really exciting. Wind: I usually experience strong winds for the end of August and start of September. This means that I am taking the canopy down and letting the sun hit the plants with all its force for the remainder of the season. More water means fatter nugs. Nutrients: Day 105 - 21 August 2024 - Added 1 cup Bud Candy and 1/2 cup Overdrive from AN, then added 2 gallons of water in a large watering can. I let that sit for 2-3 hours, then I add it equally to the four pots. I'm alternating this and kelp meal biweekly from Down to Earth (every 2 weeks). This recipe is gentle and it works for me. Thank you to all following the grow. Straight up... each plant looks a little different - my guess it's because of all the crosses behind the genetics. Basically looks a little Malawi, a little tropicanny, a little cookie, and sour orangey for sure. I don't care for a stable line where all the plants look homogenous (basically the same, I may have messed up the description) - I just want something that will have a good end product and these plants all look fine to me. Now I just have to be vigilant so that the caterpillars don't destroy all the flowers. It's a bit nerve wrecking, but I'm committed to not using pesticides or insecticides - organic or not. I'm also considering washing the herb at harvest--that's got me a little nervous also because it gets really humid around harvest time, but all the testimonials and videos I've researched all seem to agree that it does not affect the end quality in terms of effect since THC is basically water resistant, not water soluble or something--i'm thinking water hash in my head to comprehend the science a little better. 06/02/2020 Gonna feed them today 1tbls of blood meal. I snapped a branch on #2 (see video) her stems, I don't like break to easy so I will give some micro nutrients to help stems from breaking. Unless she is the HOLY GRAIL. I will cull her clone. All others handed super cropping well. 🙏 #4 in hydro is in it's own diary called Small Batch Seed making some F1 #1 showed her sex today, clones well took cut on 05/20/2020 is rooting well outside in coco coir, in humidity dome just cut and scrape the stem,once rooted I cut off yellowing leaves i hope her smoke is as good as she looks. 5 days into week 10 and #2, and #4 are male so indoors they go for pollen collection. Will dust one bud of each female with each male and hunt for what I want. Also see what each passes on in the cross.
