For a first time grower, the SCROG is definitely a bitch and a half... But worth it once you see 75-80% of your tent filled with buds, praying upwards to the light. Thankfully, they have slowed down vertically. So no more twice a day SCROG adjustments for a while --- hopefully anyway. I'm having a hard time with lowering RH. Although a fellow grower has suggested not to worry with RH as long as you apply BT bacteria... True? Any advice on RH management on late flower stage for a noob? I'm always willing to learn! Hey guys! TheIceCreamParlour has been on a little break while we made some major refurbishments. The first 5 plants are now hooked up to the system and we are ready to go. These girls were transplanted yesterday into 6" Cultilene blocks with floraflex feeding blocks on a 12 hour feeding system. Fertigation takes place every half hour for 20 seconds meaning fresh oxygenated solution is being replenished frequently. I'll keep this diary as simple as possible considering it's the first test of my home made feed system.

Noticed some slight Nitrogen deficiency so I removed 20l of the tank and added 20l with Yara Kristalon Blue 19-6-20 + Calcinit A+B and it seemed to do the trick. Went low on ORP this week. Saw slight tip burn so I'll lower EC next week seems that ~2000 is the sweet spot. Did some defoliation as usual whenever needed, never noticed any stunting in any timelapse, also did a little lolipoping. This one is going to be a big one for sure, really happy. Day 28 skipped watering. I don't know what she has. Are those spotes calcium deficiency? Day 29 1L water. 550ppfd 70% Day 30 skipped water, but tomorrow will water 1.5 topped the middle node to keep up with the rest. vpd ~0.8-1.1 kpa 580ppfd Day 31 0.5L water + 20 ml orgatrex + 1g bactrex vpd ~0.0-1.2 kpa 580 ppfd Day 32 1.2L water. Almost no drainage Day 33 skipped watering. snapped the first 2 trying to LST. But I kept them on I hope she will be healed Day 34 2L water.

This plant is thriving in its 3rd week of vegetation—it’s growing very healthy and strong!🌱 I’ve applied some Light Stress Training (LST) to ensure all parts of the plant are receiving equal light exposure, and it’s responding beautifully. Midway through the week, I noticed the first signs of flowering! This plant is transitioning into bloom faster than expected, which is really exciting. It seems eager to show what it’s capable of. Now, I’m looking forward to seeing how it handles the stretch phase—I can’t wait to watch it shoot up and develop further.😊

it has now clearly gone into bloom. really nice pistols and if it continues like this, it will become really thick buds. it has got a few yellow leaves but that's not bad. it has also grown a few centimetres

Week 11 - both ladies look amazing can't wait for the smoke. 9L Pot she is almost ready to harvest so I on next watering she will receive the final part for 7 days then flush and water for 3 days. 12L Pot she look amazing a lot of buds and she have 2 weeks left till harvest

Day 29 Flower. The plant colors look real good. The heater has caused the plants to respond well. And the hydration of water is also a big factor. With the Gaia Green added a few days ago and the light now pushing 820ppfd from center we are in full bloom on the 1st plant and the other 2 are right behind by a week only. Day 33 on Plant 1 and the others appear 5-7 days behind each other. With plant 3 about 11-14 days behind Plant 1. So I am watering more this 2nd grow being aware when the plant is pulling the most water. Today it was about 1600ml. The patient 1 flower is bringing in a organge color. It’s a bummer I haven’t seen much of any purpling. Day 34 Flower, ph 6.5, 1000ml, the sugar leaves might be turning purple outside in. The other plant has a few yellowing leaves towards the lower section of the plant. Plant 3 is following right behind.

Not much to say apart from the Auto Wedding Cake is budding along really nicely, by the smell I can see why this strain is called Wedding Cake. Definitely can't wait to have a smoke of this. Happy Growing guys

🎅 So, as for the smoke after 30 days of harvest day. Biscotti Mints have a high concentration of THC, definitely above 25%, you can feel it. Beginners should exercise caution. -The taste, I wouldn't exactly call it mint. It's similar to peppermint, but it doesn't taste like mint, it tastes like flowers. Bottom line, the taste is similar to pepper flowers. -The effect is only evening, not daytime. It will be good for an evening relaxation or in the company of friends. -The appearance is something beautiful. Everyone who saw him liked him. Dense, stone buds, green-violet color.

🇺🇸 Grow Journal – Week 13 Week thirteen. The plant seems in good shape overall, even though it’s starting to show some light discoloration on a few leaves. I don’t really know what’s causing it. Maybe it’s because the plant is growing and needs more nutrients now. Or maybe there’s some kind of nutrient blockage starting to appear. The substrate has been running for thirteen weeks, so it could be getting a bit loaded. I’m thinking a flush might help — just to give the root system a reset before moving forward. This week I also worked on defoliation and topping. We’re now at sixteen apexes, and I think that’s enough. It’s probably the last topping, because if I wait much longer, the plant is going to get too big and it’ll be harder to manage once she stretches. Aside from that, everything looks fine. However, I did notice a big drop in pH in the reservoir, which is strange. I added Athena Balance, just like always, but the pH keeps going down. I don’t really understand why it’s dropping so much. Other than that, everything’s okay — nothing special to report. The plant looks stable, and we’re getting close to the flowering stage.

* ********* Week 11 - June 20 to 26, 2020 - Days 71 to 77 from germination *********** * It is the end of flush week and she went into darkness on Wednesday night, day 75, for two days. Saturday will be harvest day and start and the dry process👍 This week she continued to fill in and she also pushed out more frosty tricombs!! The fade happened this week more and she fed off of more of the nutrients within the plant.....perfect😃......would like a little more even but she was ready based on tricombs. Would like to have seen the lower leaves a little more yellow but its good. I am feeling very strongly that the big part of the pH issues this run was a change in feed water. I have always used bottled RO water for all my grows, except outdoors, but this grow I switched to tap water. Dechlorinated the water with air stone and gave it 24 hours min before using. Wanted to save some money and tired of lugging bottles downstairs a couple of times a week☹️ This is worked out nicely and a lot more convenient. However, the city must be putting some crap in the water that is causing issues in my media and raises the pH after the watering. Out of the tap it is 8.4pH and 275ppm. Since ppm were not too bad in my opinion I moved forward without filtering the water.......oops🤬🤬🤬 Out of options on what is causing the issue, I switched back to RO water late last week........all the girls are happier!!!! F......missed the cause for weeks. Always learning from this plant and my own mistakes to get better every run😉👍 Also wanted to add a little more stress to girl to help push out some increased resin. I drilled a 5/16” hole into the main stem to cause her stress. I did this rather than trying to break a branch and will see it goes this run. Sterilized a new bit in Alcohol and went for it. They went into darkness about a couple of hours later. Excited to see what happens when she comes out to get chopped😃😃 Not really a lot more to add this week as it was mainly looking at the tricombs and her buds. The pH will impact the harvest but she has been fun to grow and very resilient to pest and bug issues as well as grower curve balls. As always.......nice job Sweet Seeds....... SWS56 is very solid and I look forward to running her again one day. Beautiful little girl and makes me smile😃😃😃 Little more detail...... June 20/20 - Day 71 - Rezin and Liquid Weight @ 2ml/L = 285ppm and 4.0pH - 8L given to get a good flush....pH still running around 7.4 - Runoff in pots already were 7.9pH and 685ppm. - after 8L water runoff was 7.4pH and 360ppm. - she is 20” tall and 24” wide. - a number of clear tricombs but more becoming cloudy. June 21/20 - Day 72 - dry out day. - buds are firming up......squeezed a couple🧐 June 22/20 - Day 73 - Rezin @ 1ml/L = 120ppm and pH the water to 2.7!!!!!!!!! - Given 2L watering. - No runoff water and I am good with that as I want the low pH water to stay in the medium. - her frost levels are really coming out now.....was able to lower tent temps to 75 degrees and 51% humidity......its been raining a bit so damn humidity has been high. June 23/20 - Day 74 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 2.4!!!!!! - not excited about these crazy low pH numbers but doing what we can - her tops are getting more pointy now and ripening nicely - leaves continue to fade......she is close - checking tricombs, I think we are done and tomorrow will be her last day so that I can take down on Saturday. June 24/20 - Day 75 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 3.0 - Going into darkness tonight so this was her last bit of moisture. - drilled a hole into the stem.....was going to do a couple of holes but not trying this method before I decided to leave it with one hole. - into darkness tonight So we finish up the week with her in the dark. With a good Flushing out my little chunks are now ready for the chop. I think a combination of Anxious and Excitement begin to overtake, whilst all the time a nagging voice in the back of my head whispering 'are you sure its the right time'. This little voice i must admit has been a preoccupying factor and by far the most difficult decision so far. Despite this and the little voice screaming away i have decided that i am to stick by my guns and Harvest these Chunky delights as planned! Wish me luck the time is nigh.

Week 9 was a tough week for the plants, but they pulled through! First, we are experiencing a heatwave where I live which has caused me some headaches for figuring out how to make the environment plant-friendly. Growing indoors is much tougher than I thought it would be 😅. So the room where the plants are has reached the max temperature of 38 degrees celsius. I decided to take the plants out of the tent and into my bedroom facing the west side window for ultimate sun exposure. Unfortunately, I cannot have the plants in my bedroom overnight since my husband has allergies. So, I placed them back in the tent at night. Throughout the week, I took some timelapse videos of the plants in front of the sun, and it is truly fascinating how plants understand the power of the sun, soil, water, and air. I think that plants would rather be grown by sunlight than LED lights, they get to move to the rhythm and speeds of solar and ecosystem, and it's amazing to witness in timelapse! Anyways, by the end of week 8, the plant looked hungry and big enough to be repotted. So, I gave it some Gaia Gree all-purpose nutrients and repotted her in a larger container with some fresh soil. The first few days of repotting, the plant seemed to have experience stressed. Its leaves were floppy, and there was not much growth. By the end of week 9 the plant looked much happier, fuller, and greener!
