Week 4: Growth Spurts and New Challenges Continued Growth and Health As we move into the fourth week, the plants are showing impressive growth. Their leaves are a lush, vibrant green, and the stems are becoming stronger. The transition to the larger 11-liter fabric pots has clearly paid off, providing the roots with ample space and better aeration. Adjusting Nutrient Levels Given their positive response to the nutrients, I decided to continue with 2/3 of Terra Aquatica Tripart feeding schedule, adjusting slightly to meet their increasing demands. Here's the updated feeding plan for this week: CalMag: 2.5 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.50 mS/cm) Grow: 1.5 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 0.5 ml/l EC: 1.2 mS/cm (600 ppm PPM-500/TDS) pH: 6.0 Each plant is watered with approximately 20% runoff to ensure there's no nutrient buildup in the coco mix. I will maintain this nutrient level until the pre-flowering stage to avoid the risk of nutrient burn due to over-fertilization. Weather Improvements and Adjustments The weather has been steadily improving, with temperatures expected to rise to around 25°C starting Wednesday, accompanied by abundant sunshine. This upcoming forecast is excellent news for my plants, as I anticipate a final growth spurt before flowering begins. Every centimeter of growth counts at this stage, and I'm optimistic about maximizing their potential under these favorable conditions. Strengthening with Wind Exposure On days with good weather, I move the plants out of the greenhouse to expose them to natural wind. This practice helps strengthen their stems, improving overall stability. Additionally, the wind creates a more challenging environment for pests, helping to keep them at bay. Smart Watering Strategy I only water the plants when the pots feel noticeably lighter. This encourages the roots to search for water, promoting the development of a stronger and more extensive root system. This method helps ensure the plants remain healthy and resilient. Pest Management: Observations and Actions At the beginning of the third week, I noticed dark discolorations on the undersides of some leaves. A few days later, these spots turned into yellow patches. I am still unsure about the cause of these spots. To prevent a potential insect infestation, I sprayed all the leaf surfaces, both top and bottom, with a mildly dosed neem oil mixture. Since then, the spots have not spread further. Because these discolorations are only affecting the lower leaves, they are not causing me significant concern at the moment. Regular inspections and preventive measures are crucial to maintaining the health of the plants and ensuring that any issues are caught early. Decision Against LST At first I have decided against using LST. But some of your comments made me try some LST on two of my plants. I choose Tangie and Gorilla cookies to try out and learn some stuff. Blue dream and Banana purple punch stay without any training. Some light defoliation and leaf tucking. Installed the Tray2Grow today and I’m excited. It’s looking great. The silica gave it a really beefy center stem. I dig it. I love this plant so much.

Everything is going well still. Slight bit of nutrient burn starting as some of the tips I noticed were turning pale almost yellow or brown. So I backed off this week. Feeding just PH balanced water and some SLF100 with Herculean Harvest and Olympus up from Oregon’s Only. We’ll see what happens this next week to come. Hoping to stop the small issue in its tracks and continue to be super healthy to finish. I’ve been able to really dial in temps and humidities in the tent. The air flow is perfect. Light is just right. Another week and I’ll add my 2nd light to really get her going when she’s ready to start stretching. All in all everything’s great minus the nute burn.

So she grew another 26cm this week!!!!!!! But that means the flowering stretch is coming to an end. Her flowers are starting to form nicely. They look really dense at this early stage. Can't wait to see what she's like in a few weeks.

in the flowering time i dont give them any nuts i let them flower in a natural way and i wanna see if they give good buds with no nuts and if the taste is different

What's up fellow growmies! I hope all is well with your grows! This week progressed like usual, they actually are starting to pre-flower and growing stigmas. Its like clock work with these autos July 1st marked a complete year in growing and each time I've grown autos they always start to transition to flower in week 5/6. Its hard to believe it has been a complete year for me💪🏾 I have gained so much knowledge and received so much help from this community and I really appreciate it. It seems like yesterday I was frantically worrying about everything. Although I have much to learn I think I pretty much have it down to a science. This last year I have grown 4 different strains 2 times each. On my current grow I have stopped obsessing over watering, one thing I am learning is that watering until run off is not really needed, unless you want to test the ppm/ph of said run-off, otherwise you are just wasting water. I start off with 1 liter of water per plant, and as they grow I make my way up to 2 liters. It appears to be the sweet spot especially for the 5 gallon pots, after about 2 liters I start to see run-off in the 3gallon pots I see it after about 1.5 liters of water. I am still using the General Hydroponics Flora Series trio, it has worked well for me. I always mix what the manufacturer recommends per gallon into a 3 gallon sprayer, so I am giving 1/3rd of the recommended dosage out of fear of nute burn or lockout. I performed LST on both Big Bud Auto plants, and one of my White Widows, the other 2 White Widows I am letting grow naturally. Stay tuned and Happy Growing!!!! 🤘🏾🤙🏾💪🏾

This is because the leaves gets hotter as i increase the light's power output. The Gorilla Kush #2 and the Chemdog #2 are showing some heat stress. Before i watered them i weigh the pots. All but the cpie auto has germed. I didn't like using the rockwool. I realized I like to see Taproot. Before just putting it in medium. So I put all of the seeds out of the rockwool and put em in their forever home. But the cpie had not even begun to open and it still hasn't and I can't find it. So I'm putting another one of my bx2 skunks in called temporarily called skunk v3. I got seeds from five different back crossed with Mexican and afghan phenos I created from breeding the original seeds my gpaw got in the late 80# after my gpaw came back from war he started growing So yes I have og genetics. But I'm creating my own line of f1s -f4s and bxs. Skunk v3 grew really short. 2 foot gallon fabric pots and after 14 weeks at chop ( I know it's early for a photo but I did this grow natural to see had the best natural traits I'm looking for. And it only grew to maybe MAYBE a foot. And yielded the most densest and biggest colas out of all of them despite being more than a foot shorter than the rest of the phenos I had going. So now I will have two bx F1 skunks growing instead of just one. MY GOAL IS TO IDENTIFY THE SKUNKIEST OF THEM ALL. AND ENHANCE IT WITH SOMETHING GASSY ANNNNND SOMETHING LEMONY. HENCE GROWING THE CRITICAL THUNDER. AND THE SPECIAL QUEEN AND THE Royal GORILLA I HAVE HORROBLE MEMORY SO I APOLOGIZE IF IM LATE ON WEEKLY UPDATES. Everythings gone nicely this week. Had a big burst of growth, had to raise the lights higher than what would normally be their maximum! Probably do a little defoliation over the next week.

Skunk apple runtz I'm probably only going to keep 1 of these guys seeing the 2nd just has really bad growth so far. I'm sad about this I made this cross out my last grow and was hoping for the better end of things. The other plants is decent but we will see I hope it has the growth pattern of the lit farms Rick bobby and the bud structure of the obama runtz I grew It's looking like a good start to a week the plants are strong they are getting to the point I can let the dried dry out completely. I'm thinking by the end of this week the plants will be starting to be sold. Last week I put all the plants into my bigger 2x4 tent with my medicgrow mini sun 2 the 500w version. Only a few of the plants were ready for that light. Seems like the only plants that really have good resistance and have a strong start are the weedseedsexpress.com seeds. Shout out to weedseedsexpress.com for the strong plants. I ended up putting all the plants back into my 2x2 tent with the 55w amazon light it has alot more blue light in its spectrum. It's kinda weird b4 I switched the plants to the 2x4 tent they were getting 220umol under my amazon 55w led then when I put them under the 500w light 25% strength about 50in from plants and they were getting only about 195umol in that tent but it was stressing most the plants. I assume a larger light has more side lighting hitting the plants. I think when useing larger lights it's good to measure umols from the top but also coming from the sides. I think durring seedling stage they only need about 50% the umols coming from the side the plants as the top is receiving. When I put the plants back in the small tent about the same umols as they were getting b4 the switch and they were still a little stressed. So for a few days I put the small light at the top the tent giving them 100umols for a few hrs then 130umols the rest the day.
