I began the second week with 1/4 soil feed of NITRO that is added to the top layer of soil. I'm using Bigbudjuice throughout with a wet feed, and soil application. Day 9 is when the growth really started to happen as the seedlings seem to have good roots. Day 11 the girls were then given a 1/4 of budjuice watering which has resulted in some awesome growth over 3 days. During this week I've slowly increased the intensity while watching how the react and have shown no issues. Currently sitting at 350 Par and will being to.lower slowly to increase par to 450 PAR as the start into Veg. Also lowering RH slowly as well. I am a new grower, and I'm going slowly and steady while learning not to try to much or be crazy ambitious as a beginner. I also began a pre pest control spray on foliage with neem oil/Dr Bronners dish soap/water mix applying every 10-12 days. Thanks for stopping by and if you have any tips or advice it is all welcomed. Super stoked to keep learning as I go, and read the leaves as they are the first warning sign of what is happening. This girl is stacking so nicely for someone who got very little grow time outdoors before the onset of flower. 2nd generation of shogun I have grown but never smoked, so I still don't know if its any good. LoL Something tells me this one is going to be something special. Lets see.

Just fed water for the last week, had to dry in a drying rack due to lack of space. Nice flowers. Both plants look very similar but both smell different to each other. Both smell nice. Will update.

not sure where the dry weight thing went but i dont fill in wet weight. who even weighs there whole plant? dry yield is 269gram of pure bud. Grown in a 22liter pot with biobizz lightmix soil and greenhousefeeding bio line this smells so hard that my neigbor called the cops. she even smelled it in her apartment so its game over for me because off this plant. never came across such a weed smelling strain in the 8 years that im growing. hope to be back in 6 months or so.

5/25 Some pics may be repeated because I forgot to add a new week. Waited until about 11 to bring the girls outside. They were definately dry on top so I used the rest of the gallon to water them. When going outside I noticed a specific kush plant that's lighter than the rest. I really need to up my water volume on these big plants. They are also getting close to not liking it in the 1 gal. and are ready for a transplant. I cleaned the cage so as soon as the weather permits these girls will be outside in the direct sunlight. Basking in the sun in the cage to finish hardening before going into their final homes which will be 20-30 gal smart pots and a 50 gal grow pot. Well SOME of them are ready for transplant. The link kush seems to take its time but it looks extremely indica-E. Weather looks like it will be amazing this week so I'm obviously stoked. Wouldn't suprise me if these girls were outdoors be the end of the week! EDIT: THE GIRLS STAYED OUT FOR 3.5 HOURS AND LOOKED FANTASTIC. TUEY GOT SOME INTENSE SUN, EXPOSIRE TO THE HIGH RH AND A LITTLE EXPISURE TO THE HIGH WINDS. SPECIAL KUSH SEEMS TO BE THRIVING. I THINK IT WILL DO WELL IN THIS CLIMATE. THAT ONE MK ULTRA IS GROWING AT A RIDICULOUS RATE. I WATERED THE PIBK KUSH THAT WAS LIGHT. I CANT WAIT FOR THE UPCOMING WEATHER. I CAN EXPOSE THE PLANTS TO SOME DIRECT SUNLIGHT AND SEE HOW THEY HANDLE IT. I also added another half hour of darkness so the plants will be closer to actual daylight times. They're down to 16.5. I'd like to have them lower by now but it is what it is. If some reveg I'll deal with it. 5/26 Plants seem to grow an inch I'm a day. MOST are getting to the point where they want to stretch their feet out. Good thing they'll be going in their final homes as soon as they are hardened off completely. I brought them out around 8 this morning. I have to be back at noon but I'm uncertain if leaving them out that long is a good idea. I'll probably have to check them in an hour or so. They're in the lean-to but THAT gets direct sun until the sun rises high enough in the sky to block it. I put them in here rather than the cage so they can build a tolerance to these harsh winds. Topsoil was dry as fuck. I watered everything. I focused on those that SEEMED the lightest and the largest plants. That MK Ultra plant I fimmed is going to be MASSIVE. I'll update what I do as I do it. Oh I also cleaned the bags twice and they are hanging inside the cage with the direct uv rays hitting any part that's discolored. I MIGHT do one more cleaning but I doubt it. Twice is enough. Technically three times but still. I want things to go right. It looks like I've got some pretty good phenos. EDIT: I PULLED IN (BLOCKING VIEW FROM PART OF THE DRIVEWAY OFF) BECAUSE THAT WAS CLOSER TO MY PLANTS. I GET OUT AND START ADMIRING MY PLANTS AND LOOK ACROSS THE STREET TO SEE TWO STATE TROOPERS AND SOME DETECTIVE ACROSS THE STREET. DAD SAID AN AMBULANCE CAME BUT LEFT WITH NO LIGHTS ON. THEY WERE TALKIMG TO THE COUPLE SEPERATELY. I ATE LUNCH AND THEY WERE STILL THERE. MY HOT WIFE WENT OUT AND THE ALL STARTED FUCKING RUBBER NECKING. MEANWHILE I BROUGHT THE PLANTS INSIDE WITH THE SMALL COVER MY S.U.V PROVIDES LOL. PLANTS WERE LEFT IN DIRECT LIGHT UNTIL IT ROSE HIGH ENOUGH TO CUT IT OFF TO THE LEAN TO. PLANTS SEEM LIGHT. WELL SOME DO. I NEED TO GET A GOOD WATERING SCHEDULE DOWN. JUDGING BY HOW THESE PLANTS TOOK IT TODAY I THINK THEYLL BE OUTSIDE IN FOREVER HOMES WITHIN A WEEK. 5/27 Just poked my head in and checked on them real quick. NO damage whatsoever from all that time in the sun. I left them inside this morning so I can bring them out later in the day to see what happens. I'll add pics later and update what I do. EDIT: BROUGHT THE PLANTS OUT TO THE CAGE AT A LITTLE BEFORE 10AM AND LET THEM BASK IN THE 85° SUN. THE WIND WAS A LITTLE ROUGH ON THEM. IT WAS ACTUALLY THRASHING THEM BUT MY INTUITION SAID 'LEAVE THEM BE' SO I DID. I DID MORE CLEANING AND FIGURED OUT SPACING IN THE CAGE AND I MIXED A 30GAL GROW BAG AND 2 20GAL GROW BAGS WITH A 50/50 MIX OF FOX FARM OCEAN FOREST AND HAPPY FROG. SOUL WAS MIXED WITH A GRADE STAKE AFTER BEING PUT IN A GALLON AT A TIME (TO ENSURE EQUAL PARTS) AND FINALLY MISED BY HAND. TAKES A LOT OF WORK. IM NOT GOING TO BE AS PICKING WITH THE OTHER ONES. I STILL HAVE MY 50 WITH SOIL IN IT. MAINLY DUE TO LAZINESS AND THE PAIN IN THE ASS IT IS TO MOCE THE FUCKER. PLUS IF IM LOW ON SOIL (WHICH IM NOT) THAT WAS GOOD SOIL AND THE PLANT HAD NO PROBLEMS SO I GUESS IF NEEDED IT FOULD BE REUSED. I NORMALLY JUST EMPTY THAT FIRST AND MIX A SHIT TON OF SOIL IN THERE AND SHOVEL IT IN THE BAGS. THIS WAS MUCH HARDER. PLANTS GOT CLOSER TO 2 HOURS OF DIRECT SUNLIGHT BEFORE I MOVED THEM TO THE LEAN TO. I WILL UPDATE WHEN I HRING THEN IN BUT DESPITE THE HARSH SUN AND WIND THEY SEEM FINE. EDIT: BROUGHT THE GIRLS IN AT TWO BECAUSE MY WIFE HAD AN APPOINTMENT. NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER. I PICKED THE PIT UP AND DESPITE A LITTLE BIT OF MOUSTURE ON THE TOP THE PIY WAS LIGHT AS A FEATHER. PLUS SETTING ON THE THEM ON THE TAR WASN'T THE BEST IDEA EITHER. I MISED UP SOME WATER AND WATERED THE PLANTS THAT SEEMED LIGHT. I NEED TO PICK UP LIKE ONE MORE BAG OF OCEAN FOREST FOR MY 50 GAL. I RAN OUT OF SOIL AFTER THE LAST 10GAL GROW BAG. ITS NOT FILLED "ALL" THE WAY AND I GAVENT FILLED MY 50 GAL. I'LL GET THE REST OF THE SOIL I NEED FOR THAT 50 TOMORROW.

Diese Woche alle Ladies (jedoch besonders die orange Sherbert) entlaubt. Die Indicas neigen schnell zur Überdüngung mit nur der Hälfte der Menge des Düngeplans mit Regenwasser EC=0,0…..also Düngemenge etwas reduziert! Die Orange Sherbert liegen ca. 2 Wochen zurück und bilden nun Blüten ohne Ende. Ich muss die 2 Pflanzen leider unterschiedlich zu den Indicas düngen da die Ladies das Futter anders verwerten und einen anderen Entwicklungsstand haben. Nächste Woche gibt es mal bessere Bilder ohne Beleuchtung der NDL Lampe. Klima keine Probleme, läuft sehr gut. Bewässerung alle 2 Tage mit 2 l pro Pflanze. Aktive Zuluft und aktive Abluft mit Unterdruck im Raum für die Dauer der 18 Std Beleuchtung….

First day of week 6! Looks like what transplant shock I was afraid of never materialized so that's a plus. I did however discover 2 things that have been bothering me. The first was random discoloration and spotting on some leaves, I had no idea that it was due to me spilling watering nutrients on the leaves, so I dug a small canal around the main stem of the plant. Now I just pour water evenly around the canal. The second was, why is my plant so small. Most other Blue Dreams I've seen seem to get really tall and stretch upwards. Mines just seems to get bushier. After more and more research, and probably one of the most obvious things to more experienced growers, is that it's not stretching so much because it doesn't need to. So at least my light is on point. I watered regularly today for the first time since transplant, but only used a quarter of a gallon.

The plant seemed recovered but still dwarfy, because she only got around 6 hours of sunlight, or maybe even less, on my balcony.

Final week before chop. She is looking and smelling incredible at this point.

At the end of week 7 the top of the colas are mature but the lowers still need some more time I'm thinking 1-2 more weeks before harvest. The buds are showing more purple tones and some trichs are going amber.

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way.
