Decided to start dark period(24-48hrs) day 85 mostly milky not much amber maybe some amber on the sugar leaves. I wanted to go 90+days with this auto but I needed the space in the tent for my photos and she looks almost ready, would’ve liked to see a little more amber but nevertheless I haven’t grown much at all so don’t have too much preference yet on trichomes. I’ll chop in a day or two and dry in my smaller tent and hopefully it goes well, my first harvest I dried too fast in low humidity and wasn’t that pleased with the end result. This time I’m planning on lowering exhaust speed and to not be so scared of 50+humidity in drying area and raise it to around 60humidity after a few days. Can’t think of anything else to write, but I’ll update after the chop and dry and 🙏 hopefully all goes well.

Extra few more days then these girls will be coming down , happy with how everything has gone . Blue gelato and inhouse genetics are my favourite . Will update soon

Can see the clear difference between plant types. Hulkberry going that typical dark purple green colour which is hard to specifically identify but comes through with a great hue! Smells EXACTLY like berries. Skunks infamous smell is really coming out. Nice!

Man, that plant is really taking off. It's finally starting to look just like the good old Gas House Parent. I can almost smell it already. Can't wait to see how much bigger it gets! Well, another year has come and gone. Yesterday was New Year's Eve, and I want to wish all of you a happy and healthy 2025. May this year bring you all the things you've been wishing for. My good friend convinced me that trimming and training are paramount, so I've started with slowly defoliating the Creme de la Chems to try and get to lollipop status. They're just starting to flower, so I figured I could get away with a more aggressive approach. Because I failed to train these girls early, I'm stuck dealing with a little rain forest. What I've tried to do is trace each flower topped stalk up from the base, and trim away from the bottom up. 1/3 of the way up per day. I've now got a thick canopy, and I've been trying to just use leaf tucking and manual manipulation every few hours in order to keep the different height flowering sites in direct light. These ladies have really been thriving, and it's been such a joy to watch them grow! I like having two plants in one net pot letting them grow wild, but I think in my next grow I'll keep it to one per pot and train better from the start. As for the Super Orange Haze ... not as good. I attempted to pull the main branch over to train her to some empty space, but I was too aggressive and ended up popping her head off :(. First grow, first disaster. I took the head and stripped her/coated in clonex and pushed her into some potting soil just to see what would happen. There hasn't been enough foliage to really make me want to do any trimming, I've just tried to tie the stalks off to train them apart. I'm really sad about my mistake decapitation, but she seems to be doing well still. She's probably week 2 of flower based on others' journals. I changed the water midway through the week (which is when the videos were taken). I drained most of the water out, but roots prevented me from getting the last few gallons. When I refilled the res with RO, I measured the PPM at around 200. I have to assume that remaining nutrient was completely unbalanced leftovers, so feeding will have to just have to be experimental. My approach has been to give around 1:1 Gro vs Bloom and Micro every 2-3 days when I refill with RO. I want to build my PPM up to 1000, but slowly so that I can detect if I hit a ceiling first. It's hard to measure how much food is in the water based on PPM. CalMag is what drives it mostly, so I've been using CalMag as a sort of measuring stick. I keep the CalMag pegged to the Bloom food, but I know it's only good for initial dosing. I can't assume the plants are eating CalMag in the same proportion as anything else :(. If anyone has a line on cheap lab testing ... hit me up. I'd love to be able to test a few hundred samples at a time for NPK and trace so that I can tell (even if post facto) what was going on.

Glookies turned out surprisingly well! It yielded the least amount, at only 50g, but it was by far the most resin-coated plant in the tent. I would highly recommend this strain to beginners. It handled a lot of abuse throughout it's life cycle: multiple deficiencies, nitrogen toxicity, tip burn, etc. and still turned out beautiful and effective. The nuggets turned out nice and dense after drying/curing as well. I'm highly interested in coming back to this strain again in the future. What a great introduction to Barney's Farm.

She is still alive and kicking. It smells amazing and looks awesome! She won’t be getting much of anything except for water for the rest of the time, not that she’s gotten much anyways. I’m just waiting for her to tell me she’s done. It’s almost harvest time!!!

Day 85 - Starting week 13 and this is by far going to be one of the longest grows I’ve had to date. Going to give her some straight pH’d water tomorrow but still not sure when she’ll finish up. Thinking about 2-3 weeks left but could be longer. Day 86 - Looking really bad today, waited a day longer than I should of for water but gave her 2 gallons of 6.6 pH water today. The buds are getting pretty heavy and causing her to lean quite a bit so will be hooking some of the stem yo-yo’s to help keep her up. Day 87 - Looking a lot better today, leaves are perked back up for the most part. She’s definitely starting to fade and hopefully she’ll make it another two weeks cause the buds are for sure not ready yet. She’s to big now to really pull out every day for pictures so just leaving her in the tent unless she needs water. Day 88 - No really update today, just letting her go to try and use up all the nutes in the soil and leaves and by the looks of her, she’s using them up quickly. Looking forward to her bulking up her remaining couple weeks. Day 89 - She’s still dying off and buds are swelling massively. Can’t really explain the smell coming from her right now but it smells good. Checking trichs all the time but still a few clear in there and pistils are still popping like crazy. Day 90 - Almost the end of week 13 and thinking she’s gonna be chopped sometime during week 15. Gave her 2 gallons of plain 6.5 pH’d water today so she wouldn’t completely wither up on me. Other than that, not much else happening. Day 91 - The end of week 13 and she’s still plumping up. She’s definitely starting to fade out on all the fan leaves so I’m hoping she’ll make it another week and a half or so. If she’s gotta go longer, I’ll let her go as long as she needs to. I’m hoping I didn’t start flushing her to early.

Hi all. Welcome to this run withbthe Viparspectra XS1500 which i was kindly sent to try by their helpful rep Valerie. As I have a fairly good space to use for my main grow , it seemed an ideal time to explore a few options while I wait for space to appear following upcoming harvests. The opportunity hit at a good time and has now driven the future play time. lol The light is a full spectrum 150W( at the socket) , Dimmable and very well made unit. As summer is here now , my concerns of more heat being an issue have stopped me from adding my other light so the smaller 2ftx2ft area covered by the XS1500 is a good option , The heatsink is built into the case design with a finned top to dissipate the heat so no noisy fans. Switching it on to full power was a nice surprise as the footprint was way wider than I had expected and the actual coverage is even better for my Nursery to harvest plan.... I am growing autos perpetually at present and have been able to throughput the plants with just 2 lights and using the overlaps at the edges to bring seedlings along to veg/flowering, as harvesting is finishing. The timing had been working well but the plants were getting smaller towards the last runs . I gave it some thought and Rh % came to mind. With the perpetual runs not having a higher rh in their veg periods due to other plants needing a lower Rh% in flower , the vapour pressure deficit (vpd) was not within veg periods healthier range. This current run has exploded and filled my normal space very quickly which in turn means I cannot use the same principle as the last perpetual run of bringing the next ones along ready for the exchanges. The XS1500 takes care of this issue with it being perfect for an initial nursery light that is easily covering all the new seedlings but is also able to cover my experimental "5 plant 1 Pot" attempt. I have placed 5 of my own autob seeds from a previous seeding in a single 60 L pot and intend to strip them to their 4th nodes and only allow 2 mains per plant to develop and flower. Inam hoping to have 10 mains growing in it that will be under the xs1500 solely as the other plants outgrow the lights footprint and space they are in. They will go into the main grow space once able so i can really see how well this new light can flower with the 10 mains to fill the space. Until that point , I will diary as we go and see what we can achieve.

2 out of 4 plants are a week maybe less from harvest, which will be day 100. the other 2 plants are a week or more behind. I reckon the delay(as Chunga pointed out)is from the cold temps first month or so. Next year I’ll wait till mid may to plant. But overall I’m very pleased with how they are growing, they be small but looks like I’ll have a successful harvest. 🤘😶‍🌫️🤘

The Afghani x Mac1 auto from DNA recovered well from the training and is in full bloom. Bud sites are looking great. Had an issue with humidity this week and the leaves started looking rough. She got a dose of Recharge this week and drinks about 8-12oz of water throughout each day. All in all she's trucking right along. Very happy with how smooth this solo cup grow is going.
