~ Day 71 Update ~ Hello everyone! Hola! I’m Meus and this is my 10th weekly update for “First Mainline Attempt!”. I’d like to welcome new & veteran growers, Thanks for taking the time to stop by :) ~ Progress ~ You know, I’m astounded by the level of growth in this past week, my mind is blown! 5" of growth compared to the avg of 1" for the past few weeks (9,8,7, etc), just wow 😱. The smell is pungent, dank, and slightly sweet. I can only dream of what these girls will skunk out, soon, very soon... I’d like to flower now but I have a few small issues. First: I wanted to stop at 8 toppings but I need clones of the others so everyone gets topped to keep an even canopy. Of course I’m not taking 8 clones each 😏, just 2-3 of each strain (5 strains, 6 plants; 2 phenotypes) to put in my 2nd tent till these girls (mainlined beasts) are harvested. This is ambitious though I’m optimistic that this will work out 🙏 Second: Related to the first issue I’m going to need a trellis net to support these girls with their 16 tops. Thing is, all my plant have varying flowering schedules (55 to 70+ days). I’ll need to make a net set up that I can cut out each plant individually as they’re ready to harvest. Third: MOLD! Though it’s not a lot I do have a bit of mold developing at the bottom of the fabric pots (which are known to mold). I’m going to switch to Superoots Air-Pot so I can avoid the mold. They’re $10+ a pop so I might have to wait till my next grow to afford the amount I need to make a full switch. Depending on how things go I’ll start flowering at week 13. Now concerning the mold I found a few ways to deal with my problem without harming or altering taste of these young ladies. This will be a tough 11 - 14 weeks, I’ll keep ya updated fam! ~ Individual progress notes ~ (will post full information soon, update delayed for personal reasons) [Purple Urkle #1] Height: 14" Tops: 8 Notes: 14 inches... That's quite a climb :) Though she's stretchy like her sister I'm excited, can't wait to see the development in the next few weeks of veg 😊 [Purple Urkle #2] Height: 13.2" Tops: 8 Notes: I'm surprised at the uniformity of these two sisters, I'm going to veg a bit longer and get me some clones just in case ;) [CBD Blueberry] Height: 9.8" Tops: 8 Notes: I thought this girl was a goner, definitely didn't respond to the mainline well like the others, wonder why? 😶 Still I'm impressed that my smallest plant is filling in, though she looks weird I still love her and her minions <3 [White Widow] Height: 11.2 Tops: 8 Notes: Well... This was one of my smallest girls, she's by far the bushiest and most filled in. For an example look at her root mass, one word, insane! Roots are spreading everywhere, so aggressive and the trunk is huge, perfect for transporting all those nutes. Tanya here recovered from a split too, awesome :) [Mazar] Height: 13.8 Tops: 8 Notes: Taller but just as dense as the white widow, the Mazar has potential! A beautiful, healthy canopy, one of my best girls. It's a good feeling knowing that my hard work is paying off 😭 I'm afraid of topping this one because she is so dense that 16 tops will be off the hook, better make a plan soon 🙏 [Super Silver Haze] Height: 11.2 Tops: 8 Notes: I’m starting to get impatient, I love this strain! Well, most strains developed by Arjan are great <3 I will need to feed soon with diluted nutes, she looks hungry a bit. Other than that she’s a healthy young lady that’s ready to flower :) ~ Final Thoughts ~ Where to start... I’m excited! Getting my clones are my top priority right now, then I'll focus on canopy support. I’ve come a long way from my first grow, even though I failed I learned a lot. It's happening! It's going to be a high of 32C/90F and so very sunny, so why not train them today? They're both 22 days from seed as of training start. #2 got FIMmed: So I was planning on topping one but ended up choosing to FIM it instead because it's lower stress. I have no idea what will happen now. I've never done either before. I chose #2 because it seems to be having an easier time producing leaves so far. I have a video of the cut. I used a pair of bonsai shears. I was really second guessing that I actually had to cut the leaves? I missed one, and it just felt weird to go back in and cut healthy growth, even though I'd already took off most of the newest leaves. I am not convinced I did this correctly because I don't understand what happens with the tiny new node I didn't cut. We will see. #1 got LST'd: With LST, I maybe should have done it sooner. The issue is the leaves are wide enough that they would be touching the soil if I really bent it like I was planning. I even undid it and tried the other direction just to see that it was even wider across. I propped a leaf on the tie and will have to adjust it again tomorrow once the crown has righted itself. I also read that it's not good to keep them in ties once they've gone into flower for autos because it stresses them, but with two plants I had LST'd, removing the ties just resulted in them eventually straightening the stems back out. So I'll not do that again for this one. I'm also a bit obsessive about measuring my plants, and that's harder with LSTing. I have a ribbon tape measure I use to measure the main stem length instead of the actual height of the plant.

So Friday will be day 70. I messed up a lot, did lst and used big pots so I'm thinking these might go 3-5 more weeks. They smelled so amazing a few times today though. First the purple punch, then the sour diesel, then the girl scout cookies, each gave off aromas one after the other a few times today. The purple punch smalls so sweet and delicious.

Second run with these genetics, I ran her last time in a 5.4 gallon container, I got the grape pheno, higher yield with the first run, but much tighter nugs with this run. This one smells much more earthy/gassey and less grapey. I ended up with just under 26 zips of nugs, 2 zips of Larf which I will turn into canna sugar, and my buddy made a 35 gram brick of bubble from the trim. It should be dry in the next few days and I'll post a video of the squeeze, hoping to get around a zip of rosin which I will split with him since he turned the bubble...Super excited to squeeze some nugs once the cure is done, Ill post vids of them as wel. Next run I'm planning to try and cram 2 plants inside a 5X5, build mainlines, and flip by week 6 or 7....Switching to two 315 W CMH bulbs up top, and LED's on 2 of the sidewalls for supplemental lighting. Plants have developed the first pair of leaves and second one is already developing. I am waiting for true leaves or at least 10cm height, so I can start with nutrients. One of my plants is recovering from overwatering. She's about 2 days behind others. 3.10.2023 - 9.10.2023

Beginning of the 8th week, Not pretty to see but it holds up. Reminder :week 7 it seems that the drainage was not optimal on this session resulting in accumulation of salts, several necrosis appeared over the days on 4 plants. Only 1 remains in full health and swells visibly.

Dry ice is staring to turn slightly purple might be cause of night temp drops but i havnt dropped them that far yet so will come back to that subject later!! End of week 6 of flower so day 42 flower starting to fatten up everyone is for the winter chop! Just been running molases letting the soil do its job of finishing these girls out. I want to push them as long as they can go hopefully past day 56 into the hugh 60s range. I just do what the plants tell me to do. Smells amazing like a sweet kushy skunky! Way strong smell just barley move a bud and u get smacked with a aroma that is very nice. Stay tuned 💚💚

10 weeks total for the first phenos and a bit more than 11 for the last one! I could have easily gotten double the projected yield on these had I not neglected them but whatever I pulled is rock hard, dusted in sugar and smells absolutely stupendous! You did it again FastBuds!

They're all very healthy looking, one has some slight yellowing which should disappear soon with our change but all plants are extremely small for their size.. we've been letting these dry out completely between watering so I'm convinced there's a genetic component to this. We've had a few other strains start extra slow for us in the past and one in particular that started slow and then took off like wildfire around week 5 so I'm not too concerned ..they're each using 3gal square (plastic) pots willed with fresh Promix-HP..they're getting a little bit of Big Bloom with smaller amounts of Grow Big with every other watering now and this has corrected the odd hue we noticed around wk3.. This is a mix I made of Sour dieseland Northern lights. It is a tiny Potter for the contest. It grew great till it got infected late with dudding disease. I have stepped up my sanitation now. Still was a hard, and neat grow. Estuvimos un poco desaparecido por andar un poco desmotivado pero aquí vamos nuevamente, las nenas van bastante bien en la semana 8 la cambiamos a maceta de 3.5L y aprovechamos de darle GREAT WHITE SHARK, la técnica que usamos es de amarrar el central ya que le hicimos supper cropping y apical a nuestro central, amarramos el apical que le hicimos super cropping y le dimos fuerza a varios brazos. Para ir controlando la altura de los brazos le hicimos poda a pical a los que estaban tomando más altura y así poder ir equiparando los brazos. La verdad que no se cuantos brazos tengo que sacar y aun me quedan unas 4 semanas para poder desocupar mi armario de floración y poder pasarlas a flora, así que intentaremos hacer una muy buena estructura antes de pasarlas a floración. La defoliación la aplico cada vez que saco foto ósea semanal y trato de ir manteniendo de a 4 nudos o 6 nudos La alimentación se mantiene igual lo que si no se si lo dije pero: Rhizotonic: Lo estoy usando solo en trasplantes y cuando hago alguna poda. Cannazym: Lo estoy usando 1 vez por semana. Orca y Myco Chum: Lo estoy usando 1 vez cada 1-2 semanas Alimentación diaria: Calmag, silicia, supervit y canna coco a+b Alimento a cada una con 250-350 cc de solución, 2 horas que encienden las luces y 2 horas antes de que se apaguen. Gracias a esta receta no eh tenido tanta variedad en mi runoff y las nenas se mantienen muy sanas. Saludos

Seems i managed to get the three Ladies quite in different stages oxf growth. But looking OK eventhough one plant stretched too much. Smth. I need to control better somehow next time. Beside that it Looks good. Checked the trichomes and the very left plant IS showing Milky while the other two are still clear. So far No Amber to See, so assume i have still two weeks ahead aß i also plan to flush
