I am going to let her get a little more established for another week at least before I increase the nutrient cycling with an active bacteria culture like Recharge again. - I water about every 2-3 days a little bit to always keep the soil a little damp. As I understand it in organics, you don't want the soil to ever really dry out completely like with salt based nutrients. - Showed sex around 20 or so (F) - Still the biggest plant in the garden. Extremely vigorous growth! - Inter-nodal spacing is medium, what I would say is perfect. Worm Feeding: - This week I fed my worms about a pound or so total of: Banana, mango, dill, tomatoes, carrots, strawberries, aloe filet, green beans, covered in a dash of oyster shell and alfalfa meal. - I layer down some canna leaves, layer diced up worm food, sprinkle dry amendments (kelp, oyster shell, neem, etc.), layer canna leaves, then replace bedding and they are happy! - Creating the food layer protected by the green manure gives the worms a nice buffer zone to move freely through eating as much as they want. - This method is inspired by Herbin Farmer on Youtube. 2/20/22 I think I have everything dialed in for the most part. Trying to make sure this living soil is staying wet without water the plants too much. Think I need to up it a little, soil in certain areas is drying out much faster than others due to the light mostly. Lowered my light to 18" I felt deep down, maybe 5-6inches, the soil was dusty dusty dry. I am now actually watering half a gallon to each container around the outside with my garden sprayer. I make sure to get the top inch wet with a mist and then glob some water in there w/o sprayer nozzle 💦💦💦 2/21/22 noticed curling on bottom leaves. Did not change anything 2/22/22 noticing more curling, the beginnings of curling maybe on the second set of leaves 😕? I dropped the fan from speed 5 to speed 2 to hopefully raise the humidity. It's working and is now at a comfortable 57%. Not ideal but much better than 42% for veg 😅 2/23/22 noticing curling on all 4 plants on both the first true leaf sets and second (1 leaf and 3 leaves ea). I moved the light to 24", which is 33% further away and according to my $40 lumen meter, about a 28% reduction in visible light FWIW. Finally put up a little oscillating fan setup on a rudimentary iPad music-stand mount. It's loud as hell, need to look into a quieter fan lol 😆

I received the clones from An out of province breeder. It reached me after three days of driving on the road with no light. Their future was not certain. I didn’t think I would need that many fans for the clones because they are so tiny, I figured they didn’t need that much maintenance. I was 100% wrong when I’m working with this many plants. I ended up getting mild mildew on top of the soil on the first week because there was barely any air circulation. At this point I didn’t have any Ventilation put up yet. And one fan on the floor. I ended up installing three fans in one room. No issues

~ FastBuds PAPAYA SHERBET Photoperiod~ Well here we go on another journey together through 'Canna-land' and this one's kinda special... forget that, it's VERY special because this is FastBuds newest surprise for the community, a FEMINIZED PHOTOPERIOD STRAIN!🤯 I was fortunate enough to score these seeds, of which only 1000 were available and can't wait to see what this strain can do! Sounds like an epic strain and I personally cannot wait for this lady to strut her stuff!😍 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Setup: This is going to be an outdoor grow, but I have started the Papaya Sherbet photoperiod indoors as our weather is still a bit too chilly to put a newly sprouted seedling outside (nighttime temp's dipping regularly into the 40's℉). The plan is simple... let her grow inside under a 19/5 light schedule until the nighttime temperatures are in the mid 50's℉, which shouldn't be long. After which, she'll be moved outside and transplanted into the soil which I have already setup and inoculated with beneficial microbes from BioTabs and slow release dry amendments from Gaia Green. Once she's established herself outside she'll be given periodic top dressings of Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 along with worm castings and Compost Tea's. Her grow area is approx. 5'x5' and I have posts and a trellis net set up already for when she gets bigger to aid in training her. The leaf chewing has mostly subsided now since I have been spraying Neem Oil on her every 2-3 days. She's also beginning to increase in height about an inch per day now and has great color and vigor. 6/2- Yesterday I top dressed the Papaya Sherbet with 2 cups of Gaia Green 4-4-4, 1 cup of Down to Earth Bio Fish along with 1/2 gallon of worm castings. After top dressing and working the amendments into the soil by hand, I watered it in via garden hose with straight well water. 6/4- It rained hard yesterday, so I skipped watering the FastBuds Papaya Sherbet photo today as the ground was still pretty wet. 6/6- The last two days have been sunny and warm so I watered the Papaya Sherbet photo with straight well water from the garden hose today. Another week gone by for the FastBuds Papaya Sherbet photoperiod and I'm looking forward to next week, as well as the weeks that will follow to see how this lady progresses! Growing up in a 2.3x2.3. Peat light mix. LED: 3000K Citizen CLU048-1212 3000K powered by Meanwell ELG-200-36 Strange plant. No matter what, the branches grow totally vertically! Every branch required training since day 1. Also, before maturity when the plant made symmetrical nodes, only one of each set of shoots would develop into a proper branch. The other one would stay very small, no exceptions. But it smells absolutely amazing when the stem is rubbed! So I'm giving this one to the 2x2. Let's see it flower. Soon. No fuss veg - will update weekly in flower. There's a bit of burnage due to the lights being to close for a shorter companion plant. That plant has been thrown out... it might make a return some day 😏 Not many diaries of this one around. So give a shoutout if bubba kush saved your life or got you back with your ex wife. Week 6 (Day 42) - This week was a lot more manageable with temps as it has cooled off. I also was able to pick up a portable AC unit that has dehumidifier built in. I Macgyver’d a bunch of ductwork so I can run a hose to my tent, Amazing 🤩. I have been able to run consistent at 74 degrees with lights on, and 68-69 degrees with lights off, and humidity between 43-50 % Lots of new growth this week at the bottom canopy, both bud and leaf. Kinda gives me a better idea of timeline with this strain, I think it’s going to go 10-11 weeks from what I see online. Trichomes are still clear, but the hairs are turning nice colours, and I think I se me a touch of pink starting…👀 Buds continued to thicken, again, not huge by any means, but the ones that were small are fattening up, and there are so many of them 🤗 I think I’m going to feed nutrients this week, Monday is the start of week 7, and assess the situation then to determine when to start straight water feeds to begin the flush…

4th week of bloom green sensation is now added into the nutrs water mix. The flowers are nicely growing and smell is clearly changing. 22/03 New video

I learned a lot this grow. The plant survived which lends to its resilience. It smells mostly skunky with some hints of rubber. Mistakes: 1. Overwatered seedlings 2. Ran unfamiliar nutes 3. Ran an unfamiliar feed method (fertigated instead of top dressed) 4. Gardened based on web description instead of what the plants were communicating to me. 5. Got a seed Successes: 1. They didn't die! 2. Got climate dialed in well 3. No fungus gnats or other pests! 4. Got 2oz total of good dry bud!

9/16 - Did some light defoliation today and adjusted the LST. With the Nature's Living Soil Autoflower mix, I don't have to feed them. So these have been SO easy to grow. I just water with RO water and organic blackstrap molasses (unsulphered). 9/20 - Watered and adjusted LST. All 3 GSCs have begun to flower! They are now on their way.

Week 4 update - through the first week of the stretch and all is developing well. It’s really only the one strong male that’s started showing significantly. Most of the females have trace pistils and are still rapid vegging as expected. Every plant continues showing excellent hybrid vigour and there are literally zero noticeable deficiencies. Currently, the count is at about 2/3 males + about 2/3 indica dominant fem phenos. We took clones of everything female this week so that we can bud em out proper in the dutchy cabinet once the pollen subsides. That’s where we’ll get a real look at the bid quality👌. They’re all quite young at only 3/4 weeks from seed but still look hardy and strong. Rigged up a new drip ring delivery system so that we could take off for a couple days and make watering easier for my mother in-law. Anyone wants the skinny on those, just throw me a dm - super easy design and save a ton of cash and time. All told - were well on our way to the final finish of this generation and the punnet squaring should be interesting once we’re done. End of the day, the grower in me is just giddy for the next cycle. Finally gonna have the option to grow a bunch of different fems for a shit ton o bud👍👌💪. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. Hello Diary, It's the end of the first week of vegetation on my little farm. I'm a little late in updating the diary, but I'll try to change that in the future. After the plants got 4 leaves, including Purple Lemonade, the vegetation phase officially begins. For Purple Lemonade, it's 9 days since I planted the seed in the ground, or 5 days since the plant sprouted. As you can see from the photos, Purple Lemonade has been making great progress since day one. You can see a drastic difference every day, I put photos on the 1st day of vegetation and the 7th day of vegetation and the difference is obvious in those seven days. Purple Lemonade - Day 1. - 3 cm Purple Lemonade - Day 7. - 6 cm Conditions on the farm are not ideal. The summer heat is still unbearable, affecting the temperature in the apartment. When I add Migro Aray 4 to that, the temperature sometimes reaches 32 degrees. I don't see for now that it has a bad effect on the plants, but I would like it if the temperature were lower. The lights are now set at 35 cm from the plants and are dimmed at 40% of their power. Watering is every three days. I prepare about 4 liters of water, add 1 ml/L Calcium and Magnesium supplement and this week I started adding Bio Grow Fertilizer, a new product from RQS. After all, I lower the pH to 6.0. and with that amount I water all three plants on the farm. Here's a quick recap of the week. 25/07/2024 - Day 1. The official start of the vegetation. After photographing the plants, I watered them. I still put the seed booster in there, also a new product from the RQS organic fertilizer collection. 28/07/2024 - Day 4. Watering. I prepared 4 liters of water again, added Calcium and magnesium supplement, Bio Grow Fertilizer and finally lowered the pH. with Lemon Kick. 31/07/2024 - Day 7. End of the first week of vegetation.
