Northern Lights - Day 54 Harvest Report! 🌿✂️ First harvest complete! Trimmed all top colas fresh, removing parts without trichomes and selecting only useful trim. Main stem removed. The untrimmed apex alone weighs over 90g! 😍 So massive I had to split it into smaller pieces to prevent mold. Harvest stats: • Trimmed weight: 150g from this first harvest • Trim sealed in freezer bags (air removed with straw) and frozen • Now drying at perfect conditions! Second harvest coming at day 60! Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. My first time making alcohol tintcure Using the c1 , Hold on tight gonna be a trip

Nutrients are the same as the week before, as they seem to be happy and healthy, changing out the res didn’t seem like an efficient use of nutrients. I have added 15ml of tea and 10ml of CaMg+ into the 55l res over this past week. As I could see the slightest touch of chlorosis on the biggest girl of the bunch. This has naturally raised my EC from 0.72 to 0.89. Both plants either side of centre were topped on D25. They were both working on their sixth node at the time and I cut them both down to their third node, but just below the forth (so it has a stump). Middle will probs be topped in a couple of days time, it still has some catching to do. I will be changing the res out on D27, but I will post that nutrient mix on next weeks journal.

One of the dark devils is extremely stunted.... it's almost comical how small it is.... but she went through a lot .......it's a wonder she still alive .....some other people might have just thrown her away and started with some other seeds...... but it's kind of an experiment .....to see the extreme they're able to go through

This week she was a warrior... a few days with wind gusts up to 70 km/h 🙌👏💪

Welcome to my Sour Strawberry scrog diary sponsored by Spider-Farmer & Barneysfarm. Veg Days 29-42 Days 35-38 Days 35-37 49-52 Weeks since sprouted 7.5-8 Plant is pushing along. As with the others she had ph issues. Pushed through. Last week I pult Alga Grow as Plagron suggest it be a week r 2 apart from alga bloom But, she was lacking N. So, I added Raw N in just 150ppm. And the N issue was curved. Kept them both going on everything. Probably could of been flipped last wk. But, I'll do so this week. And weave the nodes and attach them to the net. I'm sure I'll figure it out during the stretch before pre flower. Then once that's over. I just let it grow. And tops that will grow beyond the canopy I'll pull them down. Hoping for a 5-8cm difference in the canopy. I'm gonna to have to cut a lot out that doesn't reach the net. But, I've made sure there's more than enough growth to sustain a full 50cm2 tent full of buds/colas with my limit of a canopy where all colas/bud tops are within 5-8cm. Pref 5 would be ideal. Let's see how the stretch goes. Its been harder than I thought. I defo wouldn't do this again with 2 different phenos. Clones really is a must id of been able to flip 2 weeks had they been the same. There's so much growth that isn't gonna make it, the stems are thick I've been stripping a defol the past 2 weeks and 70% off the nodes are up at the net. So, maybe I'm a bit ahead. You'll see where I'm at in 2 weeks. Diet Pult Alga Grow about 10 days ago. And she was threw into shortage of N. So, I gave 150ppm added to tap. And, seems to be doing a great job. Will start of Alga Bloom this week. And maybe I'll add 50 ppm of Raw N into it. I'll see. Thanks for stopping by, look forward to seen your grows. Either way, good growing.

Hey, just wanted to show my little experiment. A selfmade grow bucket. Lemon Cherry Cookies Auto by Fastbuds. Plant is 4 Weeks old now, was in soil before in a 1L Pot. Changed to Hydro because other plants having trouble with my ph or magnesium problems. I dont know. Because my last grow in this bucket went pretty well i tried to give it another chance before i buy myself a better dwc system with more buckets. 👉Update Day 32 Removed 2 large leaves to give the shoots underneath more access to light. Also added an AC Infinity 60x60 SCROG net and set it up in a way that the lower shoots give the upper ones more space, allowing them to get better light exposure. ------------German---------- Hey, wollte nur mein kleines Experiment zeigen. Ein selbstgebauter DWC-Kübel, bestehend aus nem Airpot, nem Eimer und ner Aquariumpumpe mit Luftstein. Dazu noch n günstiger Füllstandsanzeiger von Amazon. Lemon Cherry Cookies Auto von Fastbuds. Die Pflanze ist jetzt 4 Wochen alt, war vorher in Erde in einem 1L Topf. Bin auf Hydro umgestiegen, weil andere Pflanzen Probleme mit meinem ph-Wert oder Magnesiumprobleme hatten. Ich weiß es nicht. Da meine letzter Grow in diesem Bucket gut lief wollte ich DWC eine weitere Chance geben, bevor ich mir ein besseres System kaufe. 👉Update Tag 32 2 große Blätter mehr entfernt um den Trieben darunter mehr Licht zur Verfügung zu stellen. Zudem noch ein AC Infinity 60x60 Scrognetz bekommen und so gespannt dass die unteren Triebe die oberen etwas freier stehen lassen und diese sich besser mit Licht versorgen können.
