Aug 3: still going strong starting the third week of flowering. I’m putting her in the garage at 9 pm, doing the 730 nm far red light to put plant into dark mode 2 h faster, and then out of garage at 7 am. So 10+ 2 h is 12 h dark and 14 h daylight or a 26 h day. The far red light definitely works as a bloom booster and helps the plants finish faster when the sun is stronger. Did morning foliar spray of Extreme Blend and potassium silicate. Aug 4: always some defoliation to be done and I took out all the small stuff that was growing into the centre. If I had a longer season I could have left some of these small branches but I want the energy directed toward the prime bud sites. Also removing leaves makes it more stable in the wind. Yet another growing trade-off. Aug 5: she looks great coming out of the dark garage this morning. Lots of colas with lots of buds 👍👍 Aug 6: added UV lights from AC Infinity. This far north we run out of strong sunlight before it gets too cold in the fall. By adding UV lights, this will make Edmonton in September seem like California in July. Along with genetics, UV light is the main factor controlling trichome and THC production. Adding UV light for a couple of hours per day centred at peak sun (currently 1:39 pm) should help a lot this far north. At the other end of the light spectrum, I use Forever Green Indoor (FGI) 730 nm far red light. This is the third season using the far red light as a bloom booster and it definitely works. A few seconds at dusk is all it takes to put the plant into dark mode two hours faster, and is like getting a 26 h day. Bud ripen earlier and therefore under stronger sun. Both of these lights are low power LED used for a few hours (UV) or just a few seconds (far red). Gotta love science and technology when it allows us to figure this kind of out.

So this week after I gave it under nutrients I apparently gave it too much nitrogen while having a potassium deficiency. Shiney dark leaves, So i fixed that, but some didn't bounce back, and I tried nitrogen. I think they are doing pretty good considering everything I've put them through SO FAR. lol. Nutrients are NPK Raw's total lineup, follow their instructions at first, Fastbuds adjustments as of this week.

Sorry for the late update so for that I included a video of my grow room. This week is the last for the horizontal growth and is is now going vertical. Can’t wait for that tall growth going forward.

Day 8 Shes a little deformed, but im sure she will grow out of that. Going to water tomorrow so ill give an update on that. do people give daily updates? is it better like that or do i give one weekly update? Day 9 My stubbornness has led me to water her today. but lets see how she takes it. The Amnesia haze 2 is turning light green yellowish some told me it could be deficiency or it could be just flowering taking energy from the leaves but I’m not sure I used Gaia green bloom recently thinking it would help I’m going to too water that haze from here out the other have and sour I’m going to continue to bottom feed I took some trichome pics I don’t think there ready yet but I think I’m getting close to the date I feel the the amnesia haze 2 is going to hit 90+ days tho kind of hope not cause the other haze and sour are probably going be done sooner I want to fry them all at the same time March 7th I think the haze #2 and Sour d is ready but the other Haze is not I’m pretty sure I have another week pre maybe even two for it to be near ready I need the tent to harvest and dry what’s ready I’m going try leave the ready ones in for another week in hope it doesn’t mess them up

Jack Herer x Ruderalis Day 1 Sprout on Sept 16, 2019 @ about 8-9 pm- Canuk Seeds - Jack Herer Fem Autoflower September 13th at 6:30 pm: Planted in a 5 Gallon pot that was previously flushed, loaded with Gaia Green slow release nutrients and soaked down with a PH of 6.51. The pot has many fine roots remaining in it from my Amnesia XXL grow. I filtered through and took out a lot of the larger roots, while I tilled the soils with a fork and my hands until the coco medium was fluffy again. Lighting is a Phlizon 1000w LED/245 watt power draw, including 2 cob lights. It sits at about 25" from soil. During my "First Grow" of Amnesia XXL I had kept my lighting really low from the start. I wanted a shorter plant that allowed light access across the canopy tops and less popcorn bud. With this grow, I am going to keep the lights higher up until I see how she's taking off in height. I would rather she does not reach more than 20" ...for a few reasons. Another thing I'm going to do differently this grow.... In my Amnesia XXL grow, I played with her watering PH values during her first two weeks of germination and vegetation. I watered her at values of PH 5.8X-6.1, trying to bring the PH of the medium down. In my reading, plants are able to uptake nutrients at different PH levels. With this grow - I will be watering her in a PH range of 6.6 to 6.1 from start to finish.

EN The first Last Dance phenotype shows strong stretch in the first week of flowering and is growing very bushy. The leaf color is lush green and very healthy, indicating good nutrient uptake and root activity. Even at this early stage, subtle fragrance notes are detectable, hinting at an aromatic start to flowering. The second phenotype remains slightly more compact but also shows vigorous stretch and a dense leaf structure. Its leaves are healthy, and the plant is developing steadily and vitally. Overall, a very promising start to flowering – both plants look dynamic, healthy, and are developing as expected.

Flowering day 2: For a new strain i am so impressed with her growth. She has performed great to this stage. Her flowers are forming amazingly quickly and she is taking the quadlining very seriously. All her shoots are looking able.to bear good sized buds and her secondary ones are fighting to get to the canopy top. This early on and needing a clearout of the small pointless growth , i feel she will be a great yielder of some dense nugs. Have green days folks.

-I moved the tent next to my heater because temps were dropping and humidity went above 65% at night -removed the scrog net for convenience -besides that not much happened sorry for the few photos. Next week will be more detailed

Sticky and loud is all I can say! Hopefully whatever damage and burn I have doesn’t hurt my buds too much l! But otherwise they’re stacking up well! Couple more weeks to go!

Water Day (half strength) - [ ] Kangaroots, Microbe Brew, Grow Big, Distilled Water, Ph-6.8, PPM-890). - [ ] Lessons Learned - Ph Up/Down from fox farms is super strong, huge upswing in 500ml distilled water with only 0.25ml of pH Up. - [ ] I think I need to pH water before adding nutrients. Can anyone verify this please? - [ ] Will transplant to recirculating dwc soon, until then probably watering every 3-5 days with current nutrient mix. Can’t wait to get it under better lights! - [ ] Most likely going to mainline if it all works out ok. 6/10/19, DAY 26, UPDATE: Water day due to transplant Decided to change plans a bit. Transferred to big fabric pot and fox farms ocean forest soil. Will grow plant out and cut clones. Will then put clones immediately into DWC setup. This mother plant will then be moved outdoors to flower. Hopefully it all pays off! Day 29 6/14/19 Decided to clear all fan leaves that had less than five fingers then top at the 4th node and LST the remaining fan leaves. The goal is to eventually cut two clones off of the the 3rd node and mainline everything else starting at the 4th node. At least 8 colas is the goal, ideally 16. We’ll see tho, Very surprised at how quickly the leaves pointed back up toward the light and recovered from the lollipopping/topping/LST. Any and all suggestions are welcome! Lofty goals for my first grow ever, hopefully it all works out.

This is my biggest and healthiest plant I've ever had! I'm so incredibly amazed by Deepwater Culture that I'm thinking about not growing in the ground anymore and instead setting up 6 DWC systems in the tent. Tody i defoliate the plant :)
