I am excited to try out this new gorilla cookies from fastbuds. I originally started this setup to compete in the solo cup challenge, but I needed something that will be minimal maintainence and doesn't require hand watering. So this is what I ended up with. I will not be entering since I know it will bring controversy, but I am going to follow the rules and treat this grow as if I am competing. I didn't want to use regular solo cups because last time I had a lot of algae growing in the root zone when I harvested. I opted to use a black light proof cup. These cups were 27 oz originally so I filled them with 16 oz of water, marked the level, then cut them down to 16 oz. I set the drain pipes about an inch from the bottom so they have a little reserve if I have pump or power issues. I know people will see the drains as a way for roots to grow out of the cup but in reality I have to keep the entire pipe free of roots or it will clog and overflow. So I am actually losing a little volume due to this. I filled the bottom inch or so of the cups with river gravel to stop the perlite from washing into the reservoir. I am running a 5 gallon reservoir with a small air pump and the plants will be getting irritated 24 hours a day from an aquarium power head pump. I set the system up to be totally self contained and easily portable. It was all built from things I had laying around other than 97¢ for the cups. I will be keeping the feed simple as always feeding maxigro and maxibloom with a couple flower boosters.

Decent strain to grow. Finished mid October. Did pretty good against mold and pests. Earthy lemoney smell. Fed 6 part GH nutes through a drip feed system.

Week 2 went fast with zero issues from this strain it has become my favorite of current grows as of now based on structure, growth rate and it's overall healthiness. I have a feeling this is going to be a really nice plant by flower. I gave her her first worm tea this week and a foliar spray as well. Other then that I'm gradually pushing the light intensity daily hoping to reach my veg lights max output shortly without stressing it. Also rigged my light to move for me check out the video of it moving that mover cost me about 4 feet of tie down wire and that's it keep that in mind if your on a budget! You don't have to buy one if you get creative! Anyway I'm having a good time with this can't what to start training on the coming weeks. Everything is ok Growing faster than i wish. I should defoliation again and put some clips tomorrow. Need some topping after almost a week. Its health and fine.

She's coming along nicely considering the weather. She seems happy enough on the greenhouse. Added monkey nutrients boost this week to help her on her way. Didn't realise I had a pit inside a pot. Now I have long ass roots to deal with lol

Both seedlings in peat tablets were put in an own fabric pot (15l each) on 20 Sept 2023. The soil was mixed with Top Crop Micro Vita powder (5g to15l) and put in each pot onto the layer of expanded clay balls. One leave of one of two plants was damaged, thanks to my dog. The grow-tent is IKEA tent, it is open. The temperature is a bit high, so I'm going to add a fan to make it cooler. Also reflecting coverage inside is planned.

🦍 Monkey Grease — Harvest Report! 🦍 The first strain harvested from the grow was Monkey Grease, with one pheno coming down at 63 days. Flavor & Aroma: The first pheno gives dry nutty notes with a really unique chocolate milk vibe 🍫🥛 — such a distinctive taste! The other pheno leans more toward a chamomile-like aroma, though I’m still not entirely sure 🌼. Very interesting! Effect: I’d classify it as indica-dominant vibes. Very clean, pleasant relaxation! The aroma is super strong and fills the room.!

Always the happiest period we starting to switch the lights to flowering stage, Also we incrase the ventilation and starting to manipulate huminidy also. The plants now needs every day around a 2 x 9 l osmo water and i boos it with 2 x 0,9 ml / l TA NovaMax Grow and Bloom.

Will update further after cure complete. Harvested at beginning of 14th week from seed. Of the three plants that finished in this run, this one probably got the best flush even though it wasn't the longest. Started to see yellow and blue by the time it was cut. Mild trimming at harvest. Went 10 days drying at around 60-70RH. Dried on string in boxes, dry trimmed some, moved to paper bag for a few days where RH ended up at 58. May have over dried slightly. Sealed paper bag inside a plastic bag for a few days before continuing to jarring. My drying process was experimental, but wanted better smell from buds than what I'd achieved with other plants grown with this one. The smaller stunted cheese smelled amazing, but the smell faded during dry/cure and it didn't taste the best. That one got the least days flush, but its potential was still evident. This cheese had more dense buds (still not as dense as Early Miss). Some of the buds turned out bluish, most likely because night temps were 57-60F and it was colder during 48 hours dark. It smells just like the other cheese--both Canuk freebies from separate orders. The smoking experience is mild to moderate with a heavy indica lean. Mild-to-moderate head. No anxiety. Heavy body. Too much and it can cause drowsiness. Good night cap cultivar for me. At first, I thought this one didn't smell as strong as the first cheese, but I must be getting desensitized because others say it reeks. I would definitely grow this again, but I doubt mine got up to the advertised 22% THC. More like 15. Yes, this plant was stressed in early grow, but rebounded nicely. Relative to the Early Miss from CKS also in this grow, this cheese is maybe a little less potent even though the Cheese is supposed to be more potent according to the respective company's information. It would make sense that Canuk's cheese is similar to other/original cheese strains which seem to be listed around 15% THC, but who knows, maybe it could become killer with a better grow/grower.

I started getting new growth from the tops of my colas. I thought this might of been down to raising the light up 10cm but it might of been down to high light intensity so I also moved one abit further away from the other to try and help. The pictures in the dark and videos was around 4minutes before the lights came on as all my photos are over exposed. Next to this plant I have an experiment with pink kush and zombie kush using the light given of from this grow.

Today is day 16 since coming out of the ground. I have to say I am surprised by the tempo of the growth. In my previous grow of these strains it took much longer. I attribute this to the Bilberry Lamp. It is going on 50% of its power but you can see just how well they are growing. If they continue to go in this tempo I might shorten the veg period by a week or so. I have fed them for the first time this week. I gave them 1ml of BAC Organic Grow and minimal doses of Root Stimulator and CalMag. Normally I would not do this, I would just give them the root stimulator but I know these strains like to “eat” a lot when they develop so I prefer to give them something to avoid a deficit in the future. Pheno one is going great, looks perfect and just like the previous Gelato I did from Humboldt Sherbinskis line. Pheno two has show another small mutation. You can see that one blade on the second fan leaf is a little deformed. However the development rate of the plant is fantastic, it is slightly better than Pheno one but Pheno one shows no mutations. I STILL have NOT decided wich one of the two I will leave for flowering. As I wrote before I don't like leaving things up to chance and I always do at least a small selection. Great thanks to Bilberry for providing a HIGH QUALITY lamp! Hope they continue to grow great. Fingers Crossed.

Bud looks good not a lot due to contaminated Coco media

Flowering day 59 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The lady is slowly coming to an end 😍. The buds start to swell extremely . The trichomes mature day by day. This week she was given a very light flush with Clean Fruits so that she can use up her remaining nutrients in the coming days 👍. It will be harvested in the next 6-10 days 😍. Going to update with more pictures, going to take a couple days to dry and get a good weight and hopefully get somewhere close to the 64 grams of the ONLY sized Boveda packs I have right now 😇 -- UPDATE - Dec 20 2020 - Cure Day 😵😭 i once again got my hopes up by pulling the classic male "over-exaggerating" and all the wet weight came from the main stems. After 3 days or so of drying both plants together came in just under an ounce. The smell is great and I have no doubt it's quality bud but I need to up my density game somehow for sure. New nutrients or better set up, still very low-end with all my equipment as I've just slowly been finding affordable pieces to add as I go. Maybe more light? Feel free to hit me up below with ideas short of switching to a Hydro set up 😹 I can hardly afford my bags of soil so I definitely couldnt keep up with the financial costs of a Hydro set up yet 😓 Have had a few bowls of the dried/uncured bud and it's very nice, clean, and crazy good for being uncured at this point.
