Which means airflow and internal light penetration become critical early. And that’s exactly why this week mattered. ⸻ 🍃 The Defoliation — Not Aesthetic. Architectural. This was not cosmetic trimming. It was: • Removing large fan leaves blocking interior bud sites • Cleaning inner congestion • Opening airflow channels • Resetting light distribution across the canopy • Helping the entire room environment (not just this plant) The room needed air — this plant was advanced enough to handle stress. That’s key. Week 3 of flower is the transition window: • Stretch is slowing • Bud sites are set • Energy shifts toward stacking At this stage, a strategic defoliation: • Improves transpiration efficiency • Reduces microclimate humidity pockets • Prevents internal leaf-to-leaf condensation • Encourages bud site activation below the top canopy This was structural architecture. Not haircut vanity. ⸻ 🌡️ 28°C in Flower — “Too Hot?” Let’s Go Deep. People panic when they hear 28°C in flower. But here’s where most growers confuse: 🔥 HPS vs LED Heat Behavior Under HPS: • Radiant heat warms leaf surfaces directly • Leaf temperature often equals or exceeds room temp • 28°C air under HPS can mean 30–32°C leaf temp • That pushes VPD dangerously high Under LED: • Less infrared radiation • Leaf surface temp is typically 1–3°C LOWER than room temp • So at 28°C room temp, leaf temp might be 25–26°C And VPD calculations depend on leaf temperature, not air temperature. ⸻ 🌿 What Is Leaf VPD? VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) measures the difference between: • Moisture inside the leaf • Moisture in the surrounding air But if you calculate VPD using only room temp, you’re missing the real transpiration dynamics. With: • 28°C air • ~25–26°C leaf surface (LED) • 65% RH Leaf VPD sits in a very workable mid-flower zone. Not extreme. Not stress-inducing. Not shutdown territory. We’re driving metabolism, not cooking terpenes. ⸻ 💧 Why 65% RH Isn’t Dangerous Here Context matters: • Good airflow • Opened canopy • Compact but cleaned structure • Early-mid flower (Week 3, not Week 7) At this stage: • Pistils are forming • Bud density is still moderate • Transpiration is active High humidity becomes dangerous when: • Bud mass is dense • Internal airflow is poor • Late flower resin traps moisture We’re not there yet. And we just improved airflow with defoliation. ⸻ ⚡ EC 2.9 — Aggressive but Intentional That EC is strong. But: • Plant is compact, not oversized • Sour Diesel can eat • pH 6.5 keeps availability wide (Ca, Mg, P balance) The key will be: • Watching leaf tips • Monitoring runoff behavior • Watching for clawing or salt stress Right now, if she’s praying and stacking, she’s handling it. ⸻ 🔍 What To Expect Next Week (Flower Week 4) After defoliation: You may see: • Slight pause (24–72 hours) • Increased vertical bud push • Better lower-site activation • More defined pistil clustering • Stronger apical dominance response If recovery is clean: • Buds begin early stacking phase • Internodes tighten • Resin production initiates at bract level If stress appears: • Slight leaf droop • Tip burn acceleration • Reduced upward leaf angle But based on structure and timing — this looks calculated, not reactive. ⸻ 🧠 Why This Week Matters Long-Term This week determines: • Airflow pattern for late flower • Mold resistance later • Bud density uniformity • Final trim efficiency • Light-to-bud conversion efficiency This wasn’t about now. 10 November 2020 SunSet-Sherbet Well this week is just another week by now, this lady has been threading through the scrog throughout the week and I believe this lady has finished here stretching and is in full on flowering mode now. Normally a plant stretches the first few weeks into flower to stop the growth and use the nutrients it’s getting now is used to store in the nugs and not the growth anymore. Each cola of each branch has reached the scrog net and has a decent amount of light exposure due to the fact that I only has one light for 2 plants and the spread of the light isn’t the best. Started making actual looking hairy heads with the on them 😁 the leaf spread is just getting a lot. Do-Si-Wine This plant is doing splendid due to fact that the long and stretchy-ness of these branches has reached the scrog net above and beyond which makes it a lot easier to thread through the scrog and to get as much light exposure as possible for more thicker nugs 🤓 The heads on this lady has started making THC 😁 the nugs are starting slowly to turn white which is very cool, because the plant is a dark green with WHITE nugs. One branched has snapped which is quiet delicate and grows above the rest if the canopy and causes shadow from on the bottom branches.

I harvested the 2 last gorilla Zkittlez and 1 blue sherbet x purple punch. One gorilla Zkittlez was more one the sativa "shape". I let the buds dry on a net during 3/4 days after that few days in a wood box. After few days pit the buds on a jar with an hygrometer.

Nice to watch growing OS. Kind of slow at first but then really picks up some pace nearing the end. 2 of the plants, the buds I will definitely keep. Really nice fat juicy buds. Smell great and taste great. The high is quite heavy✌️🏻😎✌️🏻And has a rapid onset. Good night-time smoke, if I smoked this during the daytime I’d probably just smoke all day and not move. I’ll press for Rosin in the next few days too , I’ll upload info onto here at a later date. Again thanks to Barney’s Farm for supply the seeds, you are super generous guys and the rewards of growing are generous too. Thank you thank you thank you. What a great little string of genes you have to add to your catalog. I’ll also update a smoke report later when the bud has cured and is ready for real consumption 😍😍😍 Update. The bud really is looking feeling and smelling better every day of the cure, these little nugs gonna be insanely strong. It’s already a knockout smoke, in a month she’ll be rocking 100% About 25% of the dry bud is awesome quality the rest is still very good

Week 10 total life Week 5 flowering The stretching stopped and the energy is spent on bud formation. Fertilizer. Plagron Boom 5 ml, power bud 1 ml and green sensation 1 ml Stopped the vita race this week. Happy with the way it's building up it's bud density. leafs and flowers are turning purple and the resin production is great......4 weeks to go...can't wait 😶‍🌫️

Literally she’s beautiful. I can’t even tell you how happy I am with how she turned out. The Rosin is crystal clear amber goodness. She tastes so creamy and sweet. The profile is just pure bliss. One of my all time favorite plants. Yields great. Dense as ever nugs. Tastes fabulous. Sweet seeds keep it up 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

alarm!! something went wrong the leaves hang down a lot on the vroder plant. it hardly smells like grass but only like wet hay. the tubers look a little shriveled up in the front ones. I have the feeling that she is already overripe but can't really say because it's my first grow. I urgently need good advice

02/26/2022 Just enoying the smell, pollination was successful! On #6 seeds forming nicely 🙏🏻 Also some weird stretching I'm top buds from accidentally leaving light's on a couple days. But should be good. looks like my efforts to pollinate one branch didn't do so well plenty of seeds to grow out now lower buds look clean of pollen no sign of pollination. Should start adding weight in next two weeks.

Trimmed a little more & started LST on day 67 with clips, first time using these, I'm pretty happy with them, even bent one stem to HST breaking & the clips supported the break. Runoff PPM is 2828 average, it will only go to 2000 on here.

📆 Semana 2 El tiempo no está siendo favorable, con días nublados y humedad que ralentizan un poco el crecimiento. Aun así, la pequeña sigue adelante con garra 🌱, manteniendo su estructura compacta y sin espigamiento. Continúa en la maceta de 2L, con riegos suaves y pH controlado en 6.5 💧. A pesar del clima, sigue sacando nuevas hojitas y mostrando un verde saludable. ¡Seguimos creciendo fuerte! 💪

Day 3 of life for this little lady. Really excited to run the new fast buds tester Russian autoflower. She is a happy life living lady so far. Let’s see what she has to show us.

Both pheno’s are doing incredibly well. Pheno #1 is almost ready and looks absolutely beautiful. Extremely frosty, with a beautiful dark purple-ish fade and chunky rock solid buds. She smells like sweet artificial cherry with cream and gas. Pheno #2 is taking a bit longer, but her bud structure is definitely worth the extra time. Rock solid nugs with insane frost levels, and the terps are very potent smelling like sweet red fruit yoghurt 🍒🍨⛽️

. Tag 14 - Zwei Wochen voller Wachstum Ich bin jetzt 14 Tage alt - und man sieht mir an, wie sehr ich mich entwickelt habe! Meine Blätter sind kräftig, breit und gesund grün. Ich habe inzwischen mehrere Blattpaare ausgebildet und wachse buschig und vital. Mein Stiel ist stark, und ich stehe fest und stabil in meinem Topf. Die letzten Tage haben mir gutgetan: - Tag 9 gab es 500 ml schmackhaftes Wasser. - Tag 11, an einem besonders heißen Tag mit über 30 °C, durfte ich mich an einem Liter Wasser erfrischen - das hat mir spürbar geholfen. Heute wurde ich das erste Mal getoppt. Der Schnitt ist gut verlaufen, und ich bin gespannt, wie ich mich dadurch weiter verzweigen werde. Zusätzlich habe ich meine erste Portion Dünger bekommen - Green Power 5in1 - und dazu 2 Liter Wasser, natürlich wieder schön abgestimmt. Ich fühle mich gestärkt und bereit für die nächste Phase meines Abenteuers!

Had issues with my dripper system timer 🙄it reset its self twice now ! Unfortunately the EC in the coir got up to 3.6 after drying out to much before I realised. I've got it back down to 2.0 now so hopefully it won't stunt them too much .
