Aug 28th - Heater issues ironed-out - removed Fan leaves from both plants, and Topped each of the Top branches - sticky traps added as another barrier or layer of defense. Airborne critters showing up; sweet - feeding 2.5L dinner to Natural Mystic & Congo Aug 30th - Topped the upper branch on the Natural Mystic, 1st node; and the lower branch of the Congo, after the 2nd Node Aug 31 am - removed some fan leaves from Congo, which is just a step ahead of Nat Myst, and I took 4 from Nat Mystic as well Sept 1st - 3Litres of dinner ea. w/ Molasses - Topped the Btm branch of Natural Mystic & took 4 fan leaves from Congo. They are growing nicely and steadily *** LEAF-TEMPERATURE STUDY became complicated lol. It took several days to find the balance point in my specific tent. Fresh air in, hot air out, circulating fans, humidifier, heater and a hot light in a 4x4 x7. -it took me to lowering the whole system temperature, and lifting the lite away, before I could gain seperation between the leaf temperature, and the room temperature. Right now 24/7, I have an average room temp of 27.8c & a leaf temp avg of 25.5c = just what I was looking for ~ 2 degree spread The 315watt cmh lite with a 3100k bulb is 40” away. Sept 2 - amending the soil with a layer of Sheep-manure compost, Kelp Meal, Perlite, a bit of Epsom Salts & some real dirt. Treating all 4 plants with ~ 1” or so each. Sept 3rd - last day of the week - secured the topped-ends on the Congo and removed the Fan leaves from the Natural Mystic. - N.M. gets secured this evening, Its a different plant with a far more robust structure. It wants to grow straight-up

Has the Male plant found a month ago, ruined the rest of the Tents plants? Since the Green Mountain Grape was found to be a male, the entire tent has gone into Pause, without Herms or other obvious signs showing up. The plant was removed immediately but the tent is lagging

hey there, looks like it's either an unstable genetics problem or that these simply take really really long in flower. cant imagine it being for a different reason

@sativaman, its my 3rd attempt at growing this strain; Theft and Pollen contamination have ruined two previous efforts. So its just deadly to have this one ready to shine

@sativaman, lmao, well here in the Peoples Republic of Ontario… legally you can have 4 plants on your property. (ps. No matter how many people in-house) Sending a message. Cheers & Thanks again.

@sativaman, excited that the clock is ticking. FYI I used two different styles, and I think I like the simplicity of the durban poison’s method; 1 less topping = 16 colas. I’d never carried either of them out till this side-by-side.

@sativaman, morning. This plants too healthy to pull the plug. No NannerS visible. Straight ahead
sativaman
sativamancommented3 years ago
@1Right_Angle, I would believe that a few nanners by themselves have no impact on THC here. Well, not like if it is a significant part of the colas that are plain male flowers .. I think it affects THC when the plant gets pollinated so at this point she focus her energy on seeds. I wouldn't worry much about that being an issue: our friend Highroller had a seeded crop of his Congo but still was awesome smoke. Same for me.

I did not realised time was passing by and you were at week 8 since flip. No chance this is from removing a male. If you really are posting weekly updates this is not normal. Since start of flowering, I felt like your congo was unusual: with longer but not abundant white hairs and not showing promising colas as seen before. I would suggest you send an e-mail to ACE with details and pictures. Almost every grow I end up sending them a question, and they always respond, are very friendly, useful and upfront.

@sativaman, what a straight-arrow idea! I will let the source know of this Anomaly and open the doors to discussion (and reason) Pictures in an hour when lites go on, and I’ll post a few for your viewing pleasure. Thanks for taking the time and speaking out on this topic Brother. The concept of re-vegging is cool, glad it was a thought ha, but to what end if somethings gone sideways already. Looking really healthy - your congo is so well behaved compared to mine, I can't wait to see how she develops!
1Right_Angle
1Right_Anglecommented3 years ago
@wrongleverkronk, that would be a fine situation for me; restricted airflow. There are little to none obstructions with this low-grow. Things are getting a little closer, with the grow beginning to go Vertical, but there is room galore. Taking a good LOOK TONIGHT, will keep you posted.
wrongleverkronk
wrongleverkronkcommented3 years ago
@1Right_Angle, I have used Plant Magic "Bio-silicon" in the past - I think it did help, but in later grows I also think it was the cause of pH issues - it has a very high pH so something to keep an eye on. I honestly think airflow is the best way to stronger branches, but often that's easier said than done!
1Right_Angle
1Right_Anglecommented3 years ago
@wrongleverkronk, Thanks for checking-in. I am looking at how narrow/frail/thin some of the branches are and I am checking into some Silicon-based branch strengtheners. I can't wait either, its just the long part of the cycle and I'm looking for problems. Good Luck at your end Growmie

Hallo friend, you removed the male at week #3 right? I should have thought you caught it early enough and I had a look at your green grape diary and counld't see any suggestion of open pollen sacs but I can't really think of reasons for it stalling? Can you see any seeds actually developing? I've had some seeded grows in the past (intentional and accidental!) and I was able to spot the swelling part of the plant which contained the seeds (is it the calyx? Biology lessons were a long time ago at this stage of my life). Also what are your night time temperatures like? I've had plants that were later in flower stall because of low night temps.
wrongleverkronk
wrongleverkronkcommented3 years ago
@1Right_Angle, Canadian eh? :) Well, you've covered all my ideas so I have no idea! Catching up with other comments I see you've already got some other good advice - I really hope you can sort it out, fingers crossed!
1Right_Angle
1Right_Anglecommented3 years ago
@wrongleverkronk, WLK thanks for the msg. No pollen was released that I knew of. It was still developing. No signs of seeds on the 3 plants in question Here in the “Peoples Republic of Ontario” I run my lights at Nite-time, so a really base average is 25-26 on the room. There are no Calyx’s in development at all. Plan is to change-up the meal plan, trying to boost metabolism. A K deficiency could be behind the Leaf damage and I’m lowering food pH and amending the soil to add some Nutrients. Getting rid of my CMH, today, for a sweet LED and we’ll see if some concentrated, cooler light has an impact in a weeks time Thats where I am right now Brother
